Dined with 2 friends who were visiting Dublin last Friday evening. We had the early bird menu,2 courses for 13.95 and the option of a glass of wine for 4e extra.I had the bruscetta for starter and salmon for main course. Both were delicious. As we booked through menupages we received a complimentary glass of prosecco which was even better.Staff were efficient and pleasant.Restaurant packed by the time we left, obviously a lot of people recognise value for money.Well done to all in Mexico to Rome.

Soulful Bistro
46 Manor Street, North Dublin , Stoneybatter, Dublin

Visited last sat 4pm.Party of 4.Had 2 menupages vouchers for the 4 course set dinner.Waitress on her own so service was slow.Food lovely but restaurant was very cold as other people mentioned in their reviews. We were there for 2 hours and i never took my jacket off.

Lan Tania
Main St (Beside The Roost), Maynooth, Kildare

Bought a menupages deal for Lan Tania which i used last night. We had 3 courses from a set menu. For starters i had fish cake and my companion had duck spring roll. The fish cake was a little tough but accompaning salad garnish was nice. For mains i had beef with chili and garlic and my friend had chicken thai green curry.they were both very tasty. The desert was banana fritters which came with slices of melon and strawberries. The service was excellent, admittedly the restaurant was not very busy at the time.We were very happy with everything.

The Bradaun Restaurant @ Leixlip House Hotel
Leixlip, Leixlip, Kildare

Have eaten twice in leixlip house in the last month,on both occasion ate from a special dine out menu .This consists of 2 courses and a glass of wine for 20.95.On both occasions everything was first class. This menu is served in the lounge on a Tues,Wed and Thurs night. The waiting staff are very efficient bringing water as soon as one is seated.I had duck for starters on the last visit and snapper for the main course, both dishes perfectly cooked. They also serve lovely coffees all accompanied with a homemade shortbread,a nice touch.Very lucky to have such a good place for food in Leixlip.

Brasserie 7
The Capel Building, Capel Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Had a voucher deal for brasserie 7 which i used on thursday night.Had visited the restaurant for lunch previously and found the service a bit haphazard. This time it was very different. From the moment we arrived it was a very pleasant experience. We had 2 glasses of wine included in our deal.I had goat cheese tartlet for starter and my companion had the duck, both very tasty. For mains i had the duck and my companion the hake.We shared a banoffi pie and finished with coffees.Staff were very attentive throughout our visit refilling water glasses etc.All in all very recommendable.

The Thatch Bar & Restaurant
Military Road, Crinkill, Birr, Offaly

dined in a group of 6 on easter saturday.had the early bird set dinner menu.30e for 3 courses plus tea and coffee and a glass of house wine.from the moment you cross the treshold you can see how well run the thatch is.we were brought in to a waiting area and given the menus .there was 7 starters,8 main courses,7 deserts on the menu and not one supplement. i had monkfish in batter served with salad to start,it was divine.my main course was duck.,equally as good as the starter.we also had the steak and the chicken.we got individual potatoes and veg and a large dish of garlic potatoes for sharing.everything was cooked to perfection.cheesecake.apple pie and icecream were chosen as deserts.followed by tea/coffee . after dinner mints completed a really good meal and a thoroughly pleasant dining experience from start to finish.unique setting one mile from birr,an old world inn that knows what irish hospitality means.

RiverBank Restaurant @ The Court Yard Hotel
Main Street, Leixlip, Kildare

dined here this evening. had the early bird menu.had chicken caeser salad for starter, and hake for the main course. both lovely and well presented.pavlova for desert was disappointing.to me it was a meringue with ice cream and cream, that is not pavlova!overall 2 three course meals with tea and coffee included and a bottle of wine for 50e is fantastic value and i would thoroughly recommend it.
