Visited this restaurant and totally loved it. Food was amazing, staff and atmosphere was great. Only niggle would be that we brought someone who was coeliac and there really was little to choose from. but overall, i loved it

Ristorante Rossini
33/34 Princes Street, Cork City, Cork

Really disappointed with dinner here. A few main issues: - ordered 2 glasses of house white and they were served warm. Table next to us ordered bottle of white wine and theirs was also served warm. Waitress still poured but offered an ice bucket. - very expensive for what's on offer. Particularly the pasta, as most options were pretty standard. - waiter brought us receipt before we even had our dessert served. Felt rushed even though place was half empty. . I had bolognaise and it was just OK. A awful lot of bechamel sauce and cheese though and not much pasta or meat. Other guest had Carbonara which was tasty but was exceptionally rich, even for a carbonara. Tables were a bit crammed as well, even though there was plenty of room. Menu is extensive but there a lot of meals are fairly similar. Atmosphere is great though, good vibe, and the place looks great.

Market Lane
5/6 Oliver Plunkett Street, Cork City, Cork

First impressions of this restaurant were not good. When we got there the lady pointed a table out to us in the far corner and told us to seat ourselves. She was pretty rude actually. But the waitress we had was great and totally made up for it. There were a few items on the menu that weren't available which was a bit annoying (set menu) but waitress recommended lots of different things instead which was great. The food was delicious and seems good value for money as well. A lot of the ingredients were locally sourced too. Only thing that annoyed me (other than the entrance) was that many of the meals were the same for lunch as they were for dinner but there were some real price differences between the same meals at different times.

Cafe Bar Deli (Cork)
18 Academy Street, Cork City, Cork

Ate here before going to a show in the Opera House. We were running late and let the staff know and in fairness the food go delivered very quickly. The waitress advised what food would get delivered the fastest and all, she was great. Looking at the menu, I definitely plan to go back as it looked great and wish I'd had more time to try some of the fish dishes.

Zaks Restaurant (Cork)
No 4 Marlboro Street, Cork City, Cork

Ate here recently and had a mixed experience! I ordered salad and it was awful - seemingly it's a best seller but the salad was floating on the amount of salad dressing that had been put on the plate. It really was awful and there were bones in most of the roast chicken pieces. That said, they did provide a 2 for 1 voucher as an apology. Thing is it had to be used within 7 days as it was only valid till the end of the month it was near the end of the month when we visited. Also, when we entered the restaurant we were told where to sit by a waitress. Then another waitress came and told us to sit elsewhere.

Hamptons Grill
Henry Street, Limerick City, Limerick

Ate here last week and really enjoyed it. We were the only 2 in the restaurant and they really took care of us. Great choice on the menu from grill to fish to salads, everyone was happy. 3 course meal for €25, how bad! Only quibble would be that the fillet steak came with no sides - chips/veg had to be ordered as extra.

Foley's Townhouse
Henry Street, Kenmare, Kerry

ate here last saturday. there were 4 of us and i wasn't too impressed. Service was awful, the waitress hardly spoke to us and wasn't too helpful when we asked questions. the place was crowded when we went in due to a match which was a bit annoying because the commentary was really loud and so was the bar and the tables are just located around the bar. food was OK - a lot of choice but it is a confused menu. I had monkfish and they servedd a lot of it which was unusual but the cuts weren't too good at all. prices are very reasonable.

Raymonds Restaurant
Distillery Walk, Midleton, Midleton, Cork

ate here for lunch last sunday and it was great! i always assumed restaurants near tourist hotspots were a no-go but this place was amazing. menus are very reasonable for the food provided ( a lot of fish and local produce). I think a 4 course sunday lunch was 25/30, can't remember which. service was very good as well!

The White House
Pearse Street, Kinsale, Kinsale, Cork

went here last night as a party of 4. service was excellent, food was great. the set menu is really good value for money and they were very flexible on one of the courses due to one person being a coeliac (they allowed us to choose something from main menu). fish of the day was sold out but offered different fish cooked in the same manner at lower price. would definitely recommend.

Lord Bakers Seafood Restaurant
Main Street, Dingle, Dingle, Kerry

went here for lunch and it was delicious.i had grilled cod which was really good but pretty pricy for what it was. the grilled plaice was 10e more which i couldn't understand as it just came with a side of veg and a sauce. deserts are fabulous though !! service is very good too, with a personal touch!

Milano (Killarney)
Main Street, Killarney, Kerry

I really like eating here - pizzas are great and the service is great. probably the pizzas are a bit pricy but all things considered, they're worth it! the lunch menu is a good bargain though!

Milano (Cork)
8 Oliver Plunkett st, Cork City, Cork

Had a terrible first experience in this place but came back a second time and it was great. Food is expensive, for what it is, but it is really good pizza! The only thing I don't like is when you order a soft drink and they bring it to the table ina 500ml plastic bottle version (like coke) and it just doesn't really work for a restaurant like this.

TGI Friday (Blanchardstown)
Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, Dublin 15, Blanchardstown, Dublin

I love TGI food, no matter where I eat, and her was really no different. Except when they're busy and they let the whole place down. They're far too expensivethough - even compared to UK they're just veyr expensive over here. Don't like the location much - right next to bowling alley etc - have been there some friday nights and young kids getting sick on the walk up. not very pleasant.

Spurs Family Restaurant
U42 Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, Liffey Valley, Liffey Valley, Dublin

I like going to spurs, the only real downside is the cost of it because it's just so expensive. The starters are the worst, cos they give you very little and it costs! i ordered the potato skins for a starter and it was just on a regular white side dish with monterey cheese half-heartedly lashed over it and that was around €8! food is good though, in fairness, atmosphere also great, as is the service.

O'Connor's Seafood Restaurant
The Square, Bantry, Cork

The food is just fantastic in this place, have been several times and the quality is consistently great. Atmostphere is great as the place is always packed. Downside is the service, waiters are just so stiff and cold. They don't talk much, no banter or chat, just simply serve the food and move. This might suit some people but a few smiles would do the place great !!

Banna Thai Restaurant
Ballincollig, Ballincollig, Cork

Food was very good although we only had a take away, can't comment on atmosphere or service. Intend to eat here again.

ECO Douglas Restaurant
1/2 Eastville, Douglas Village, Douglas, Cork

Food was very nice but very expensive. Not a very relaxing setting - could easily hear all coversations around us. Too cramped, they'd do well to remove the odd table. Staff nice but didn't have time for customers as they were rushed.
