Went here with the hubby just a week late for a Valentine's treat and it was amazing. The food, the ambiance and the service were all top class. The staff were immaculately turned out, greated us warmly but not stuffily and made us feel very relaxed. My husband loves fish which is why we choose here and he was not disappointed. Im not too fond of fish myself but I gave the pan fried crab claws in garlic a go and they were yum! There was plenty other non-fishy dishes to choose from and our food was delicious. I particularly loved the crepes suzettes done at our table for dessert. While we picked this place as a treat because we heard the prices were a bit high, we have since gone back for the early bird for the hubby's birthday early this month and it was great value so I'd highly recommend it.

Seabank Bistro
Coast Road, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

Went here as a table of 4 just before Christmas and it was really lovely. Just a few minutes from the village but well worth the walk. Menu was very good and the food delicious. Service was very attentive though relaxed, a very difficult combination to get right. We'll definitely go back.

Market Lane
5/6 Oliver Plunkett Street, Cork City, Cork

Went with a group of 8 and the service was excellent Mind you, I wouldnt order the salads again (I had one as a starter and a friend had another as a main) as the meats were very dry and chewy, the dishes really lacked dressing and there was way too much salad leaves. As the service was excellent and the others enjoyed their meals I would definitely like to go back and give it another go next time Im in Cork.

Sinergie (Liffey Valley)
The Clarion Hotel, West Dublin, Liffey Valley, Dublin

Went here with a group of friends at the weekend for a set dinner. The menu and food were lovely and the waitress was very good although the kitchen let her down a few times and we ended up getting our vegetables after our meals were finished. To their credit they did offer us desserts which we accepted. Overall the meal was not bad although Ive had nicer food in the bar before.

Pasta Castello
Unit 11, Donabate Town Centre, Donabate, Dublin

This is a very family friendly place with crayons & colouring for the kids, etc. We go here regularly and we're happy to give our kids the pizzas there as they make their own sauce and its really fresh and tomato-y. We find the pasta dishes too big and filling but we love everything else about the place. They couldnt be more helpful and the chef will cook you pretty much anything you want, any way you want. They always have The set menus are very good value too.
