Arrived late, they still accommodated us, but we're insistent the table had to be retuned by 8.15pm. The service was subtle but effective.food was sublime. Had our 17 year old and 8 year old with they loved it. Fresh, delicious food. Can't wait to go back

Heard about this place and decided to try it with my 7 year old. The menu looked really good and the kids menu was good too. Our starters were brought and we weren't asked if we would like my daughters food with our starters. She was starving. When we asked the waitress, she said it wasn't possible because the food comes out as it's made. Funny that, her pasta definitely was pre boiled...overcooked and the bolognese sauce was thrown on top and heated in the microwave. I had the salmon which came with a wilted salad and was several minutes overcooked. My poor husband had the chicken breasts in some creamy sauce. Chicken breasts were....yes, you guessed it.....overcooked. And the sauce had no seasoning, again , with wilted tasteless salad. Never ever again.

Crackbird
60 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Slightly cold atmosphere when entering, and colder inside, no heating, most people were sitting with their coats on but the staff seemed warm because they had t-Shirts on as they were running around like headless"chickens". The drinks came quickly and the food as well, we ordered the jalapeño dip which was yummy with bread and crudités. The wings were not impressing but the soy chicken was delicious and the slaw was yummy. Beans were hot! Delicious. Had it not been so cold inside we'd have stayed a bit longer, but maybe that's the whole idea, get us in and out quickly. Strange Japanese decor!

The Greenery
3 Eirpage House, Dublin 4, Donnybrook, Dublin

The food is good here, slightly strained atmosphere, waitress took 3 of our drinks order and walked away before taking my husbands order. The menu stated the wine was from South Africa, when it came, the label said it was from Australia.i don't know if I'd return

Brookwood Restaurant
141 Baggot Street Lower, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

This is an amazing restaurant. It ticks all the boxes. The cocktails are unique and delicious. Then comes the food....bone marrow was so delicious and crisp, my husband and I shared the Porterhouse because we like different types of steak which we were told is incorporated in the Porterhouse. Softest, tastiest, juiciest steak ever and oh my..... The spicy corn...yum. The children loved their Mac and cheese and fish and chips. They want to go back here again and again. Enough said. I just want to keep this place all to myself. Not possible now, after I've left this review.

Sophie's
33 Harcourt Street, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

Very disappointed with this. Tried 1 week beforehand to book a table and was told they only took bookings for parties of 6 or more. Seated at the pizza oven even though there were plenty of booths available and the 3rd booth stayed empty for the duration of our dinner. The marrow was undercooked but the. People in the first booth had theirs cooked well. Inconsistency. The pizza was amazing that's the pizza guys...amazing efficient. Wasnt impressed with the front of house ... Very inefficient at seating people. Heard about the view dint get to see the view due to poor seating. Wasn't impressed. May not be back. All flash really. The new kid on the block unravelled as more people came in. Treat people better

Beeftro - Dundrum
Pembroke District, Dundrum Town Centre , South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

If you want an excellent piece of meat cooked to perfection...this is the place to go. The waiting star are attentive and very helpful. My husband and I like our steak medium rare and it comes just that. The onion rings well if I could eat them every day, I'd be a very happy woman. The kids portions are generous and they're accomodating of kids.i will be back, many times.

Pasta Fresca
2-4 Chatham Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I have visited Pasta Fresca, since I was a student, when Mai first opened it. After my college exams my dad would send me some money and my sister and I would have a lovely meal here. I took my kids and husband here yesterday and I was very disappointed. I asked for a glass of Prosecco which was served....flat. The chicken wings are to die for. The pasta was cooked to perfection but the sauce was flavourless and my daughters pasta with prawns, had 5 tiny prawns in I with a few pieces of tomato flavourless as well. My husband loved his chicken because he asked for extra chilli and garlic, so full of flavour. Bottle of wine was good...for €28. The tiramisu, is as I rememebered it, but wow, have the decreased the size of the portion to what I would call 5 spoon size....that's all I got out of it. And shockingly they add the service charge to the bill!!! Not impressed by that at all. Will seriously consider going back and I say that with a very heavy heart.

The Copper Bar
8 Blackthorn Road, Beacon South Quarter, Sandyford, Sandyford, Dublin

We've eaten here before, hence the interest int he deal. There are two chefs, or so we've noticed and one team produce consistently great food and the other just good food. We were very lucky because we had the good team cook for us. Steak was excellent the starter was delicious and the wine went really well with the food. Waiter was attentive. I love this place...if we get the good team.

The Bistro Enniskerry
Powerscourt Arms Country House, Enniskerry, Wicklow

Small Bistro, waitress was excellent, absolutely attentive! Food delicious , kids menu great value for so much food. Unfortunately there was a table of 12 rather rowdy loud women and children who were using very vulgar language the entire duration of their stay at the restaurant. Two other couples were also relieved when the group left. Bar that a really good place to eat in Enniskerry .

Millstone, A Dublin Restaurant
39 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

How on earth is this restaurant in the Top 10 for food. I rang to book a table and it was so noisy the person taking my booking couldn't even hear me, it was my husband and my wedding anniversary and I requested a private table, he said it would be noted down. We arrived at the restaurant and were shown to a tiny table in the middle of the floor right next to the guy who was singing for the night. The tables are absolutely tiny. We weren't asked weather we wanted water for the table but two glasses were plonked down on the table, i asked for them to be removed and not 5 minutes later another waiter comes to the table holding two glasses of water again. We ordered two Mojitos to start with and a bottle of red wine. The wine came before the Mojitos, which took 20minutes to arrive, I could see the girl behind the counter, she didn't know how to make a Mojito and the manager came to tell her how to mix it. So now, we have a wine bottle, 2 wine glasses and two mojitos on this TINY table and the singing guy singing loudly right next to us, I couldn't even hear my husband talking. We ordered meat Tapas which was a wooden board with salami and olives and really nice bread, a bit difficult to get that wrong. We were left to pour our own wine, the chicken and prawn piri piri was good but not great. We could hear the couple next to us talking, every word of it because the tables are so close together. It wasn't a night to remember our anniversary by. as we left, I called the manager outside to tell him that we had made a request for a private table and why couldn't they just tell us to have a drink and the couple in the corner would be leaving in 5 minutes so we could have the privacy we needed, i just felt all 4 waiters couldn't really be bothered to be there at all. In fairness to the manager he understood what I was saying and even offered a voucher but it ruined our evening and I certainly would never go back there again...ever.

Marco Pierre White Steakhouse & Grill
51 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

i had booked this restaurant by phone and only thereafter did i get a chance to read the reviews on menupages.naturally, therefore, we were sceptical. we were shown to our table immediately and although not a window table, it was acceptible. the tables are close together but at the lunch service, there were not too many people there so this really didnt affect us on the day. the waiter was attentive and when our wine choice was decanted he and i noticed a bit of mould floating ontop of the wine, he whisked it away without question and opened another bottle of wine which was decanted in a lovely decanter. i chose the fillet steak au poivre noir with oysters and my husband had the same but with escargot. absolute perfection!!!! both medium rare and delicious. i can see what one reviewer said about the 4 chips but they were the biggest 4 chips i have ever seen and more than sufficient. desert was bread and butter pudding and eton mess.glorious. will be going back!!!!
