Brambles Café Bistro
102-104 Terenure Road North, Terenure, Dublin

The presentation of the food every time I have been to Brambles is beautiful. However the menu is not changed often enough in ,my opinion. If it was I would go more often. its like the chef has a limited repertoire of dishes and they try to change small bits of one to make it look like a new menu. Tasty though. Décor lovely.

Vine Restaurant

The Dropping Well
Classon's Bridge, Milltown, Milltown, Dublin

The food here was tasty and served in big portions. There were 6 adults for the meal and felt that the table was a bit small. The service while friendly was a bit frantic. You got the impression that they were understaffed.

Reeds @ Ferrycarrig Hotel
Ferrycarrig Bridge, Wexford, Wexford Town, Wexford

Had alovely meal here on a weekend break. You would say the portions are very small but you feel full after the courses. Service was excellent. The décor and surroundings are lovely. I look forward to eating here again.

Greenacres Restaurant
Selskar, Wexford, Wexford Town, Wexford

A group of ten of us went to Greenacres. We were all fairly pleased with our meals but agreed the portions were a little on the small size. My pork steak was dry too. The manager who assisted our table forgot the first bottle of wine ordered and proceeded to serve the other wine ahead of it. Even though we had availed of the early bird offers our bill came laid out as if we had gone a la carte. When we drew attention to this there was much delay having it sorted out. We were sitting around waiting. It would have been good practice to offer everyone an after dinner drink in lieu. This did not happen and the waiter showed no remorse. It put a damper on the end of the evening. The bill was overshot by nearly 70 euro!!

Roly Saul The Restaurant
The Mill House, Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

Well presented food. Brought extended family there and was glad everyone liked their meal. The theatre menu is good value but it needs changing. It is either the same or very like the same for quite a while now. A few new dishes would see me going back again. While the service is prompt, it is quite silent and the waiting staff don\'t have much personality. Overall though we enjoyed ourselves

Little Jerusalem - Rathmines
3 Wynnefield Road, Dublin 6 , Rathmines, Dublin

We used a voucher for our visit here. We got good value and were happy with the food. Service was good. The atmosphere was helped by the kitchen being in the restaurant.

JD's Steakhouse
4 Rathfarnham Road, Dublin 6W, Terenure, Dublin

Enjoyed our meal here. My chicken diavolo had lovely flavours but was a bit dry. Steak burgers were ordered by the rest of the group and were lovely. Service is friendly.\nRestaurant filled up quickly so a popular choice in Terenure.

The Green Hen
33 Exchequer street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Nice atmosphere. Taste food . However surf and turf for \n32 euro was too dear.it was ordinary. The scallops starter for 12 euro was exorbitant when the option was only 4 scallops. Not sure we will return.\n

Morilles Bistro
The Yellow House, Willbrook Road, Dublin 14, Rathfarnham, Dublin

Lovely meal here last Saturday. Had voucher but would have been a little expensive without it. Service is friendly and personal. Presentation of food beautiful.

Siam Thai (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

The food here is always lovely and last visit was no different. I would say however that the waitress was hard to hear as she spoke very timidly so almost everything was repeated. Having ordered 3 bottles of wine and 6 beers we felt that a free basket of crackers would have been a nice gesture. My husband was annoyed at having only 5 prawns in his dish while others of us got 10 or more. The spice indicators were inaccurate too as a dish asked for as mild was very spicy and the medium was really spicy too. more care given to personal tastes would be better. We will return and hope that we do not have the same issues or it may be our last.

Reeves Restaurant
172 Templeogue Road, Dublin 6w, Templeogue, Dublin

Our booking was not recorded which caused the person who bkd to be embarrassed. Luckily there was a table available. Salad dressing should be on the side and preferably a choice made available. There has been the same one for as long as I can remember. Overall the food was lovely ,presented nicely and hot. When shown to the table the specials and soup of the day should be told as part of the welcome patter.

Assaggio Restaurant @ The Westgrove Hotel
Westgrove Hotel, Abbeylands, Clane, Naas , Clane, Kildare

My husband and I ate here when we stayed in the Westgrove Hotel. We didn't book but were given the same menu and chance for a 3 course meal for 20 euro in the bar. As it happens it was nicer in the bar as the restaurant got very noisy as the night went on. The service was good and friendly. We had steaks cooked to our liking ,Calamari starter a little on the poor side. Choice of I ce cream very poor with only vanilla ,choc and strawberry to choose from- too basic to be offered a dessert choice. Live a little!

Lemongrass (Clane)
Main Street, Clane, Kildare

Food was very tasty. I asked for a green curry mild and found it still a little too spicy. I ordered the Asian salad to start and was served it without two of the listed ingredients which I was looking forward to. When I queried it the waitress seemed embarrassed and offered it to me free. I thought it was underhand and she agreed-said something about a new chef! Pity the restaurant is down a laneway an nearly in a carpark.

Marios (Terenure)
103 Terenure Road East, Dublin 6, Terenure, Dublin

Having booked we found we had to wait nearly 10 mins. for our table. Food was lovely and portions were a good size but bit small for a very hungry man (which my husband was)The service was a bit too casual i.e 4 menus given to one in the group for us to hand out ourselves rather than the waitress handing them out. We had to ask for vinegar even though chips were served.Often the small things can make a big difference.

Ocean Bar & Grill
7 Strand Road, Bray, Bray, Wicklow

I was here for Mother's day for food about 4 pm. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We were seated near the window which is preferable but there was a draught around our legs which could not be fixed so we had to squash up. If we had one more in the group this would have been a bit tight and uncomfortable. The service was a little scattered- no spoons with the veg bowls(which were very nice). food came to the table in stages. Overall a pleasant meal.

Delicious food as always here. Service is quiet but efficient. Busy when we were there bout 8pm. Would recommend booking .

food is tasty but overpriced. The atmosphere is warm and busy. Cloth napkins would be a nice touch.

Baan Thai (Leopardstown)
Central Park, Block P, Dublin 18, Leopardstown, Dublin

A group of 6 of us had a meal here. The service is always unintrusive and quiet. I love the authentic dress and the décor which is interesting. As always the food is really tasty and ample in size. Always a treat>

Toscana City Centre
3 Cork Hill, Dame Street (opposite Dublin Castle), Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

Food was lovely and tasty and well presented. However the starter of gnocchi was poor value. It was VERY small and was too expensive. My husband was very disappointed with it and even had to wait past our starter serving. Also the choice of desserts was very limited at only 4 options. No ice cream was on offer which is unusual.

Platform Pizza Bar
7 Strand Road, Bray, Co.Wicklow, Bray, Wicklow

Excited to hear of a new pizzeria/restaurant in Bray 11 of us toddled along to Platform, all very hungry. We had to join an extra table to the one set up as we were squashed. No one was there to help with that.We were greeted by a friendly lady who took our drinks order. She returned with the wine unopened to see if it was the one we ordered and wanted.. We settled on this one but were left to open the bottle and serve ourselves- very disappointing and unprofessional. We ordered pizzas and great care was taken to call back the order before the waitress left. We were so disappointed with the service. At least 5 of us had something incorrect with our pizzas. We found 6 euros too expensive for brownies and ice-cream-one child not having got his ice cream at all . At that point we had given up. Having said all this the food is tasty but the serving staff need a lot of training. Don't know if we will return. Too much like hard work when you can't relax and look forward to your food without fear of poor service

Paparazzi
Unit 4 Old River House, Templeogue, Dublin

We have often been to this restaurant and always pleased with the food which is ample in size and delicious. However the last two times we went we found the waiter to be rather annoying, talking too much at the table about nothing! He was over smiley and irritating.

The Arch Bistro
Above the Glenside Pub, Landscape Road, South Dublin, Churchtown, Dublin

Went to Arch Bistro for a special occasion for Sunday lunch. As always was a bit nervous being the person to book a restaurant hoping that all would be ok. We were not disappointed. The service was very good,-friendly but not overpowering. The owner made a bit of a fuss about the people whose occasion it was by customising our menus and putting a candle on their desserts. Also took photos for us. The food was lovely and very well presented. Portions were a good size. Will definitely return to Arch Bistro.

Little Caesars of Rathfarnham
Rathfarnham Orchard, Butterfield Ave, South Dublin, Rathfarnham, Dublin

Was here at my daughter's request to mark her 17th birthday and was happy to go as we have been here several times and were always happy with the food etc. However they have an early bird menu for 9.95euro which seems too good to be true. The portions were small and we were all hungry- ish leaving. My side salad was of poor quality- lots of stemmy bits and not a baby leaf to be seen. The breadcrumbed chicken was thin and over cooked. Would be a lot better to pay more for a better meal and would still be cheap by standards of other places. Will be very reluctant to return and wouldn,t recommend it.

Baan Thai (Leopardstown)

Was her with a group of 6 friends and we were all very pleased with our food. The service was discreet and efficient. Always a lovely choice of food on the menu. As always looking forward to returning.Even better I see they have a new Menupages deal up already. Yum!

Ananda
Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

It was a treat to eat at Ananda last week. The service was polished and the food presentation was beautiful. A bit on the expensive so not a weekly outing I would think. The starters were unequal in size despite the cheapesr being 10 euro. I will return however.

JD's Steakhouse
4 Rathfarnham Road, Dublin 6W, Terenure, Dublin

IO was part of a large group here. The place was packed and very warm. It was hard to move around the restaurant because it was overfull in my opinion. There was only one toilet for the Ladies which was ridiculous for the number of people that were seated. The food was average.

profile_review

Vermilion
94-96 Terenure Road, Dublin 6 , Terenure, Dublin

My husband and I had a lovely meal here. We had a Menupages voucher and I was pleasantly surprised by the choice we had for each course. The staff were efficient and polite. The food was delicious and the portion sizes adequate. I look forward to returning soon.

Antica Venezia
97 Ashfield Road, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

Four of us ate in Antica Venezia and we had an enjoyable experience. With the voucher from menupages our choice of food was fairly good with something for everyone. The offer also included a bottle of wine . For this there was no choice and neither the red nor white was great. Dessert was also part of the deal but there was only a choice of two which was too limited. However the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were put under no pressure to leave despite being last there. it was what it was- a casual meal.

profile_review

The Box Tree
Stepaside Village, South Dublin, Stepaside, Dublin

My husband and I enjoyed a gorgeous meal last Saturday in the Box Tree. We got particularly good value as we had a Menupages voucher. The service was attentive but discreet. The presentation of the food was wonderful. We will definitely be back.

Ripleys Steak House
Butterslip Lane (off Kieran St), Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

8 of us had dinner here about 2 weeks ago. We had heard a lot about the restaurant. We found the steaks to be perfectly to everyone's request. I had the steak fajita tower and it was sumptious. However I would just suggest that the steak be cut in thinner strips to help with the eating of the food. My caesar salad was uneventful and overpriced for what was a very small portion. Will try the restaurant again another time I'm sure.

The Step Inn Stone-Grill Restaurant
Stepaside Village, Dublin 18 , Stepaside, Dublin

10 of us went to the Stone Grill that evening. Overall we were happy with the food we ordered. However the fishcake starter had no taste or texture of fish. It had a lot of potato and some of this was a little hard and in lumps. My husband ordered the wantons and was disappointed with it. It was very overpriced for the amount he got and not particularly tasty.
