Scoozis never fails to deliver on quality and price, I hadn't been there for a while and forgot how good it was. My only crib is that the tables for a bit confined and close together. The desserts are to die for and in all this is a great value restaurant for all occasions.

Very disappointed, 3.95 for a portion of chips (a saucer of chips was more like it). €1.75 for a portion of toast that arrived when the meal was finished. I would not visit this place again the place was dull and decor dated, to top it off the staff were not very pleasant either.

The South County Bar and Cafe
West Village, Douglas, Cork

I would highly recomment the South County, I went for an evening meal with 2 others. The menu selection while small was very good. We all choose different meals, the chicken skewers are just beautiful, plenty of chicken a very tastful sauce with it. One other person had the Fish cakes and they were great value and perfect size portion, the other person had the risotta which again was very tasty. The service was excellent and the athomphere was great with plenty of room between tables. They had a nice selection of desserts however, there was a choice of a mini dessert which consisted of 3 small cakes €3.50 which was perfect to have with a cuppa after dinner.

Luigi Malones (Cork)
1-2 Emmet Place, Cork City, Cork

I hadnt been to Luigis in a while and I must say I was very disappointed. I got the mushrooms for starter and they were hard to cut and appeared to be reheated not good value for €6.50, the soup of the day for €5.60 came with no bread or roll. The Chicken korma again was disappointing with 2 breast of chicken in a bowl with the sauce poured over it, on a plus size the burger was good value.

Gourmet Burger Bistro
8 Bridge Street, Cork City, Cork

Fantastic value, went at lunch time on a Friday, the service was excellent and the food was top class, the burgers are very tasty. The restaurant while small is very cosy and as the lunch hour trade picked up there it was still very comfortable. Would recommend this restaurant for lunch or evening tea.

El Vino
U11 East Village, Douglas, Cork

This was my first visit to ElVino, I found the restaurant very small. We just wanted a something small to eat and a coffee but when it came to order the soup and the scones were gone and it was early afternoon. We got a starter and a dessert and the food was lovely. Not sure if I would visit again, personally I prefer somewhere with more room, but this is definately a place to go if you want to relax with a glass of wine and some tapas.

Liberty Grill

Went for breakfast in and it was beautiful a change from the usual "fry up", the eggs benedict is very tasty and the coffee is to die for. Great Value and lovely athmosphere with very friendly staff .

ECO Douglas Restaurant
1/2 Eastville, Douglas Village, Douglas, Cork

I have been to Eco on numerous occassions and it never disappoints. The food is always excellent and great value for money. The only crib is the space in the restaurant, it is hard to have a quiet conversation and even though the restaurant had 3 doors open it was still very warm inside. But this did not spoil the experience too much.

The East Village Bar Restaurant and Hotel
East Village, Douglas, Cork

3 of us visited the restaurant, it was quiet on our arrival and we got a lovely booth. The starters of chicken wings were very tasty and the portion size were sufficient to share. 2 of the 3 got the fish & Chips option and to be honest it was not great value for money the chips were frozen and the portion was not very big, overall the presentation of the dish was not great, home cut chips would make this dish a lot nicer. Overall the experience was good and would certainly return again
