Lovely place which I always feel "safe" in recommending to visiting friends. The Winding Stair is also the only place in Dublin so far that has got thumbs up from my dad who is a head chef in Sweden with over 40 years experience. He absolutely loves the Bread and butter pudding. Great service and atmosphere! On the more expensive side though...

Porterhouse is always a nice option when you want good pubgrub, huge portions and great craic. I've made several groupbookings here for work and the waiters are always very friendly.

Salamanca
1 St Andrews Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Salamanca is always a safe bet when you have colleagues or friends visiting Dublin. I have been here 6 times and the service has always been excellent. The tapas are bigger then a normal size and not typical in that sense but lovely all the same. Well worth a visit.
