Small but cosy, huge array of homebaked deserts on display , good portion size, not waiting long even though it was busy. well recommended

Kennedy's Restaurant @ The West Cork Hotel
Ilen Street, Skibbereen, Cork

wow wow and wow, we must have come on the busiest day which was communions ,we had no reservation and yet everyone was treated with a smile and great service, the carvery lunch had a few choices and was huge portions , it is a lovely room with plenty of space for baby chairs etc, no prob with the baby portions , they also have deals going during the week evenings , saw something about steak night and curry night etc will definitely be going back here again, was great value for money also.

Les Jolie Brise
The Pier, Baltimore, West cork, Baltimore, Cork

place was almost empty ,orders were requested almost as soon as we had settled ourselves , no childs menu ? was greeted with a blank stare when I asked if anything suitable for child? anyway food lovely although shellfish pizza was a shock as fish came in its shells and by the time it is de-shelled the pizza has gone cold.sardines are very well priced at $5 , but think the pizzas are overpriced.

Broleys Restaurant
35 Main Street South Bandon, Bandon, Cork

I was stunned at my recent visit here, good selection of food on menu but a lot not available when requested. Decided on quiche, which was heated in microwave , but when i went to eat the side salad it had a few seriously rotten leaves of lettuce , these had obviously come from a bag which had allowed the lettuce to rot. when i drew the attention to this i was told these thing happen and in the rush it was over looked. there was max of 10 people for lunch! busy??? no apologies nothing.I was made to feel as if it was a cheek to have complained. In view of this I would give this place a skip.

B's Restaurant @ The Castle Hotel
Main Street, Macroom, Cork

Roast beef melted in my mouth, hubby had pork which was perfectly cooked. loads of deserts to choose from which we did and they were divine. loved the screen saver on their cash register " never say no to the customer" or something to that effect, this is sadly lacking in many places who got carried away with the celtic tiger, but here the staff were very nice and I felt they would have taken any request from me. Dont think it was expensive but it was worth every cent as it was very relaxing there.

Imperial Hotel (Cork)
Clonakilty, Clonakilty, Cork

Very helpful staff, I had baby pram etc and they got my lunch for me at carvery and told me to find a seat and they looked after the rest. nice and relaxing there , had turkey which was moist and beautifully seasoned, there was a good selection and lunch was €11.50. An oasis in the centre of town,

Viaduct Inn
Old Bandon Road, Cork City, Cork

First impressions were the car park was jammed, thought we would be ages waiting but had a table and lunch on it within 15 minutes. great selection of carvery, they also do 1/2 portions which is more than enough and this was €8.50. Fast turnover , we reckoned there was at least 100 people eating and as each person left there was more coming in. well reccommended.

Inchydoney Island Lodge and Spa
Main Street, Clonakilty, Cork

As always great fresh fish , caeser salad served with parmesan cheese slices on the large and hard side, presentation of this not the best , service is always a hassle here, loads of staff but they dont seem to know what to do! paid €44 for 2 mains, childs soup , baked potato and 3 soft drinks, not bad . Got very busy afterwards and noisy , we had a toddler with us and many others had young children also.On a previous visit they gave us drawing paper and crayons for child.

The Briar Rose Bistro
Douglas Road, Douglas, Cork

Had carvery lunch, was tasty and a good portion served. They were busy setting up for a large booking so a lot of furniture being moved around while people were eating, but reasonable priced. Bar area serving sandwiches was packed full.

Patoni's Restaurant & Delicatessen
Unit 18A Wilton Shopping Centre, Wilton, Cork

Very busy cafe, basic food, toasted sandwiches are lovely, they do 3 or 4 choices of main course and the shepherds pie is good value. Plenty of choice to suit everyone and good fast and friendly service.

Soho Bar and Restaurant
77 Grand Parade, Cork City, Cork

Great buzz in Soho, went for the waiter's recommendation, had the 3 meat rock, which was fantastic, meat was top quality, side dishes plentiful, total cost for 2 starters, 2 meat rocks, 2 deserts and a nicebottle of wine €113, this is good value. Bit noisy there if you want to have a conversation, but a supersize tv in bar and tv in toilet to keep an eye on a match.

Man Friday Restaurant
Scilly, Kinsale, Cork

Lovely food, and plenty of it. Mixed seafood platter quite expensive but tasty. Staff and service great. BUT the toilets could badly do with a good cleaning and freshening up, makes me wonder what the kitchen is like. Wont be becoming a regular!
