La Caverna Restaurant & Wine Bar
12 Fownes Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Went here for work Christmas do. Was overpriced, horrible food and and terrible service. They already had their money and didn\'t care what they served. Basement is nice space but there was no effort made to create festive atmosphere. Staff all looked miserable and were not particularly helpful

Mehek
91A Rathgar Road, South Dublin, Rathgar, Dublin

We ordered from the early bird, both starters delicious, prawns and calimari but mine only had 3 prawns. I'm hoping that is just for early bird. I ordered a lamb korma and my partner had a cheese dumpling dish. Although I didnt like the main it was just my personal taste, everything was very well cooked and flavoured and fresh tasting. Service was very attentive and we were surprised the place began to fill up so early on a Sunday. Nice atmosphere but we were put beside the window and I was freezing cold the whole time. We would go again.

Royal Tandoori
95 Terenure Road North, South Dublin, Terenure, Dublin

Went here with a friend on a Thursday night. Although the place is small the interior looked new and is very cosy and oppulent. We shared the mixed starter which was plenty for 2 and brought our own wine. There was no corkage fee and we werent charged for the popadoms and dips we were given on arrival. Tables are close together but it wasnt too busy. It might be a bit claustrophobic if the place were full but we had a very pleasant evening. I will definitely be coming back to the restaurant and for takeaway. The food was excellent and the service was very good. Also reasonably priced especially compared to other local eateries.

Cactus Jacks (Middle Abbey St)
Millennium Walkway, Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Italian Quarter, Dublin

I went with my partner on a Friday night before heading to the cinema. There were 2 large groups and we waiting around 40minutes for our food which I thought was a bit too long and meant we had to rush our meal. Staff are friendly and helpful and the food was very good with quite large portions. I would definitely visit again as long as I was in no hurry to be anywhere after!

The Alamo Restaurant
22 Temple Bar, Temple Bar, Dublin

been to this place a couple of times but only for the early bird. its pretty casual but great for a quick meal when your in the area. the food is really tasty, the service is quick and friendly and id definitely recommend the margaritas. the evening menu looks overpriced to me but i would recommend going for the early at €17 for starter, main and tea/coffee.
