Have had lunch here a few times, always great! Being vegetarian its not always easy yo find a good place to eat in town and the kai has become my favorite. The menu changes every day as they cook with whats seasonal and available. The staff are lovely and the atmosphere is really relaxed. As well as their savory options they always have a range of delicious desserts and sweet snacks. All round just a fantastic place.

I found the Cellar to advertise more then you get, the service was excellent, our waitress was lovely and helpfull, however when my husband asked if they had any weissbiers she hadnt a clue what that was and they didnt serve anything other then main stream drinks. We both had fish and chips and while it was enjoyable it was very boring, the batter was a little soggy and the salad was kind of a joke. For dessert we shared a ginger-lime cheesecake which I thought was lovely (although if there was ginger in there it was hidden well).

The Cottage Bar (Salthill)
76 Lower Salthill, Salthill, Galway

The Cottage is well located and has a nice bubbly atmosphere. However, the service wasn't great, it was a busy night and they seemed to be understaffed. We waited over an hour to even get a drink without even an apology for the lateness. While the food was nice and tasty the portions were measly and everything was over priced. The desserts sounded nice and I ordered the Baileys bread and butter pudding for €5.50, I got a small slice of 'pudding' which was fine but didn't even vaguely taste like baileys. Over-all it was a disappointment.
