Very pleased to discover their Sunday lunch is as good as their evening dining experience! At €15 for three courses this is very good value. Steak here is fab and any other dishes I've tried were too! Lamb was a special one evening and it didn't disappoint!

L'Ecrivain Restaurant
109a Lower Baggot Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We enjoyed a lovely meal at L'Ecrivain. We were made to feel special including the added extra of a birthday greeting on my husband's dessert which they had obviously noted from my booking a month previously! Pork belly was great, fillet steak was amazing, dessert was okay! Sallyanne then brought us on a tour of the new Samsung kitchen which she clearly loves!

The Windmill Seafood & Steakhouse
17 New Street, North Co. Dublin, Skerries, Dublin

Very impressed! I happened to mention when booking that we were returning to our wedding venue (in its former life as a hotel) for our anniversary. We were greeted with a glass of Prosecco and strawberries! We only had mains but they bring you gorgeous bread to start anyway! The steaks were perfect as were our chosen accompaniments! We have visited this restaurant a few times and have always been very pleased. Looking forward to our next visit!

Brascos Restaurant
Harbour Road, North Co. Dublin, Skerries, Dublin

Very impressed! Enjoyed crab claws and chicken jambalaya. When the sirloin steak ran out they asked if is was 'okay' to have fillet instead! Needless to say the change was more than acceptable to my fellow guests! Good food was matched by great service. I hope this restaurant does well!

Greedy Goose
15 Townyard Lane, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin

I've been here 3 times now and love it. The tasting menu idea is great. It's lovely to try different dishes and the pace is nice and relaxed too. A delay with one of our courses was corrected and the staff gave us another bottle of wine and dessert on the house! The food is great and you'll find yourself wanting to return to try other dishes next time.

Oscars Seafood Bistro (Galway)
Lower Dominic Street, Galway City, Galway

Wow, this restaurant is fabulous. It looks weird from the outside but we were very glad we went in and made reservations for later that day. We dined on some of the best fish dishes I've ever tasted. The attention to detail is amazing. I saw a dish with prawns being served beside us and it sat two foot tall until it was dismantled by the diner! I'm looking forward to returning when I'm next in this great city. Oh, and the desserts, wow!

Essence Bistro
75 Main Street, Swords, Dublin

The 'essence' of good taste and fine dining! This restaurant is a very welcome addition not only to Swords but to Fingal overall. A group of 7 of us tried the early bird. Service was superb. We were given an appe-teaser of goat's cheese and accompaniments before our starter. Every dish was great, my favourite was the fondant potatoes. I'm looking forward to returning to try out the evening menu very soon. This restaurant deserves to do well so I'm happy to spread the word!

101 Talbot
Talbot Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Recommended by a friend. They lost our reservation but made sure to look after us anyway despite being very busy with Christmas parties. Tables were moved and we sat looking out onto Talbot Street. Their set menu is great value for night time dining and allows no excuse for skipping their terrific dessert! Original, not your usual presentation. We will return hopefully.

Masterson's Steakhouse & Wine Bar
17 Main Street, Swords, Dublin

I think I'll have to give them another chance to impress me as most other reviewers seem happy! My steak was not medium-well as requested. They're very fond of cheese on this menu- almost all starters had it and then the potatoes served with the steak had it too- Dauphinoise potatoes should not have cheese! Desserts were fab,the round of Sambucas sent by the owner were even better! I'll try again soon.

Emilianos Ristorante Italiano
21 High st, Waterford, Waterford City, Waterford

Great restaurant where everything is tasty! The scallop starter is fabulous. Everyone in our group was pleased with what they had. Ask for a table upstairs for more comfort. Enjoy!

ZAO Thai Restaurant
96B Omni Park Shopping Centre, Swords road , North Dublin, Santry, Dublin

Disappointing compared to the previous commenters. There was nothing wrong with anything just no great taste of anything. We had a good night but only of our own making.

The Cottage
Unit 4, Town Centre Mall, Swords, Swords, Dublin

Have lunch here regularly provided it's not too busy. Everything is freshly prepared and tasty. Their quiche is very good. Try it for lunch or afternoon cakes!

Nautilus
9 Marine Court, The Green, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

A group of us booked for a birthday celebration. Food was good with an interesting menu.Presentation is important to them. The crab starter is fab. They allowed us to bring our own birthday cake which they served nicely. There's a strange (and I'd have to say expensive) wine list. Overall this is a good restaurant but certainly not cheap. Enjoy!

Gourmet Food Parlour Swords
Unit 2 St Fintans, North Street, Swords, Swords, Dublin

Best lunch venue in Swords by far! When you start with good ingredients you get good food...when will the rest of them figure that out! Afternoon tea is good value and well presented.

Eddie Rockets (Blanchardstown)
Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, West Dublin, Blanchardstown, Dublin

Good burgers etc. for casual eating say after the cinema. Big sloppy burgers are for fun dining with friends, not to impress a date! The onion rings are very good. I like the fact that you can see what's going on in the kitchen and it looks very clean.

Blue Cafe Bar
Harbour Road Skerries, Skerries, Dublin

Blue is great for dining with friends in a casual environment especially since they don't take advance bookings. The waiting staff are brilliant, not so impressed with the bar staff- very surprised at this. The food is very good. Try the gambas pil pil. Nice Spanish flair to the menu.

The Red Bank House & Restaurant
5-7 Church Street, Skerries, Skerries, Dublin

Visited here on Friday night. Busy as usual but service was excellent. We both had 2 courses of fish and were very pleased with them. The monkfish is fab. I was disappointed to see corners being cut-eg. the sorbets between courses have disappeared. It's definitely time they got the painters in for that ceiling! Anyway the fish is still the main attraction- perfect!

Cape Greko (Malahide)
Unit 1 First Floor, New Street, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin

Very disappointed with the change in this restaurant on our most recent visit. Little extras that were there are gone as though corners are being cut for economy. Well it won't work! The lamb kleftiko is now literally just lamb, no veg in the parcel with it. My dessert sounded so good on the menupages menu I was looking forward to it all evening...it was just ok, nothing special. Maybe it was a once off???

The Harbour Bar (Rush)
Lower Main Street, Rush, Co. Dublin., Rush, Dublin

This is not intended to be gourmet dining but for a change we don't have to leave Rush to have a nice meal out. Food is good, as is the atmosphere and location. Their daily specials are very good value. Try the tempura chicken as a main course! So tender.

Vina Mara Restaurant
19 Middle Street, Galway City, Galway

Vina Mara is a Mediterranean experience not to be missed. It's the kind of restaurant you hope foreign tourists judge us on! I can't wait to go back to Galway to book in here again. Well deserved awards.

Pink Elephant
Mains Court, North Co. Dublin, Swords, Dublin

This restaurant has fab food. The Massaman curry is divine. I've been here several times and have recommended it to friends without complaints. Early Bird is great value before 7pm. All the ingredients are natural, no MSG or other nonsense that you find in other places.

The Man O'War Bar & Restaurant
Courtlough, Balbriggan, Balbriggan, Dublin

I visited the Man-o-War restaurant two weeks ago. Overall I was impressed with the food. All four of us found our starters and mains were very good. Fish cakes are delicious. The desserts were a big disappointment with meringue (although they put some fancy name on it!) that a steak knife would not go through! However they redeemed themselves by taking them off the bill when we returned them. Service was slow later on when the restaurant filled up. I would return again.
