Best value around for Early bird, only €12 for 3 courses on a Sunday. Although it doesn't be too busy during the weekend days it still has a nice athmospere and very helpful and friendly staff. The Early bird menu is small enough but they are happy to accomodate any particular alterations to certain dishes, the food is tasty and portions are generous, especailly their beef or chicken curries. I sampled most of the starters and they are all really good. The main menu is more in line with prices of any other chinese but has a large selection. Take away is also usually pretty consistent, nothing to write home about but you get good value for money.

Eatzen Chinese Restaurant
Unit 1, Clonee Village CentreMain Street, Clonee, Clonee, Dublin

This is one of my most regualar chinese takeaways and I am rarely disappointed. The takeaway itself is nearly always bustling which is a good sign in my book. Two of my favourate dishes which they always seem to get spot on are the salt and chilli calamari starter and the chicken curry, also any of their prawn dishes are really nice. For a takeaway it is really good value for the quality of food you get.The efficeincy of the counter staff in taking and processing orders is also excellent even when it is extremley busy. The restaurant itself is small and cosy and the food is not far off what you get in the takeaway as they are both cooked in the same kitchen by the same chefs.

The Grasshopper Inn
Main Street, Clonee, Dublin

Have eaten here on many occasions and find the quality of both the al la carte menu and the sunday carvery very good, if not one of the best around. The Sunday Lunch is always spot on with generous portions and the service is prompt and friendly. Some of the best dishes on a somewhat limited a la carte menu is the burger and the chicken curry. They also do the nicest pepper sauce around. The prices are a little bit steep for what you get but the quality of the food is always consistent and enjoyable.

Delhi Darbar
Unit 5,6,7, Clonee Court, Main Street, Clonee, Dublin

I decided to give this place a go one evening because the prices looked reasonable and the indian i normally go to was closed due to it being a Monday. I didn't eat in but rather got takeaway, the place was empty except for the two staff, the decor was old and dirty, the place even felt dirty and had an unpleasent smell. The dishes I ordered which were chicken Pakora, Sheek Kebab and Chicken Jalfrezi, all dishes I have enjoyed elsewhere but these were no where near the smell taste or colour they should be, the kebab looked and tasted like dogfood, the chicken tasted like it was cooked from frozen and the pakora was mainly some bready soggy batter with almost no chicken in it. Even the dipping sauces for the Poppadoms had a rank taste and smell resulting in nearly €30 worth of food going straight into the bin. At first glance the prices may seem reasonable but the fact that what you get for your money is absolute filth, you would be better buying a jar of sauce and making your own indian. The only positive is the lady behind the counter was courteous and prompt. Otherwise all bad points.

Da Panza Restaurant
1 Yeats Centre, Dunboyne, Meath

Terrible rude service.Bland food. This was our 2nd time eating here, the first time we arrived 20mins before end of early bird menu and were made to feel totally unwelcome. The owner (who was sitting drinking and eating in the corner) was receiving more attention than paying customers while being comically rude to people. We gave the benefit of the doubt and came back on a friday evening for the main menu, and for such a small place we nearly had to physically grab the waiting staff for service and drinks etc.. We had the irish version of Vicky Pollard tutting in our faces and when a family of regulars came in the staff nearly fell over themselves trying to serve them to the neglect of everyone else in the restaurant. When my maindish came out it was missing one of its main ingredients and nothing was mentioned by way of explanation or apology by staff. This is my first time to post something like this but I'm so unsatisfied at the behaviour of owner + staff not to mention fairly bland food that ive made the effort. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.
