The Old Orchard Inn
76 Butterfield Avenue, Rathfarnham, Rathfarnham, Dublin

Had lunch here with 2 older ladies, one in a wheelchair and the other a walking frame. We were greeted with a smile and an offer of help. We were shown to a table and a ramp was provided for our convenience which was greatly appreciated. The presentation of the food was excellent and tasted great. It was fairly full which is not surprising considering how helpful the staff were.I would return here again when I am on that side of the city.

Rasam
18-19 Glasthule Road, South Co. Dublin, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

I couldn't fault this restaurant. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. Meal was delicious. If I lived near here I would visit often. I would recommend Rasam to anyone who wants a good Indian restaurant.

MacNean House & Restaurant
Main Street, Blacklion, Cavan

I couldn't find fault with anything in McNean House restaurant. It is a little expensive but certainly worth the money. We stayed in a lovely room for the night. Lovely breakfast the next morning - especially the porridge. This is a place that should be visited at least once in ones lifetime. I will be back.

Gaylord Spices
26 Railway Street, Navan, Meath

This is the best Indian restaurant I was ever in. The only reason I can't give a full 5 stars is because we were there early in the evening and had to leave to go to a show. We regretted having to leave but we will be back. The service and food were very good. The staff were very helpful and gave us a rundown on the food we ordered. The recommended bottle of wine was really good. Thank you for a lovely meal

Pacinos
18 Suffolk Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I ate here last night with my daughter. First time here but not my last. We had a lovely meal. Service was a little slow at first because the place was extremely busy. Once we gave our order we hadn't long to wait for our food. Both the waiter and waitress were very helpful and friendly. I thought it was good value for city centre

Howards Way (Churchtown)
11 Braemor Road, South Dublin, Churchtown, Dublin

I had lunch here yesterday with 2 older ladies. One of the group was late arriving but that was no problem. We had ordered before she arrived and I feared we might be finished before she got her lunch but not at all. Her order was taken immediately and we all had our lunch at the same time.It was lovely and good value. The place was full which is not surprising. The best cappuccino I ever had was served to me yesterday. It was top class. The only fault is that it is a little cramped but that doesn't matter to most people. There are tables set up outside in a heated area and the patrons can use cosy blankets which are supplied on all the chairs. What a lovely idea. I will be back the next time I am in the area.

Millstone, A Dublin Restaurant
39 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We had a lovely meal here yesterday evening. Place was busy. Staff friendly. Service good. Good wine. I had a meal here before but this was the first visit for my friends who said they would definately be back. Very enjoyable evening. Nice music from a guy with a guitar.

Cedarooms - Bar and Restaurant @ Killeshin Hotel
Dublin Road, Portlaoise, Laois

I called here with a friend for lunch. The place was busy. I ordered fish and my friend had chicken. The fish was covered in batter - portion was huge but all I could taste was frozen fish and batter. Not great. The chicken was ok. No service with a smile here which is a pity. It seems to be a busy place for lunches but they won't have the pleasure of my company again.

Treacy's
The Heath, Portlaoise, Laois

Frederick’s Restaurant
Mount Wolseley Hotel, Tullow, Carlow

I visited this restaurant on Monday night but was very disappointed. The soup was lovely. I had trout for main - it was wrapped in a thin paper bag - which was not great. The strawberry dessert was gorgeous. My friend had chicken for both starter and main course. It was just ok. There was no price on the menu which is a bit off putting. The set menu was 37.50 which we discovered when we got the bill. The service was good but the atmosphere was muted. I would stay in the hotel again but I would either try the bar food which looked good or go to another restaurant in the town.

Castle Arch Hotel
Summerhill Road, Trim, Meath

I ate here on Sunday evening and was disappointed with my meal. The starters were ok but I thought the salmon was awful. It was presented with a bright yellow sauce all over it. I did not enjoy it. The chips were not great - they felt a little undone. The chicken maryland which my friend had was very good though. I won't be in a hurry back. I didn't think there was any atmosphere

Toscana City Centre
3 Cork Hill, Dame Street (opposite Dublin Castle), Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

My first visit and what a treat. I agree with the person who said the waiters were HOT HOT HOT. They sure were. If only we were 30 years younger. lol. The food was fab. I had smoked salmon for starters and salmon for main. Garlic potatoes to die for. My friend had prawns to start and Chicken for mains. Her plate was cleaned.I couldnt finish mine. We both agreed it was the best meal out we had for a long time and cant wait to go back. Lovely wine and service was excellent. We could have stayed all night except we were going to a show. Cant wait to go back. Would recommend to anyone. Great value for Dublin.

Avenue Cafe & Restaurant
Main Street, Maynooth, Kildare

I went for a meal here last night with a few friends. I never even heard of the place before. It was full on a Tuesday night and I am not surprised. We had a lovely meal. The service was excellent and our waiter was very friendly. Drink including a glass of wine is more expensive than most places but the bottle of wine is good value. I will definately be back.

Bijou Bistro & Wine
46/47 Highfield Road, Dublin 6, Rathgar, Dublin

I was here on Monday night. A good crowd in restaurant. I didn't think the presentation of food was great. I had steak with green pepper sauce that was butter - not what I expected. A bit disappointed with it. The food wasn't hot enough for the butter to melt. I wouldn't rush back to this place

An Sibin

We had a family meal here on Christmas Eve. There was a great atmosphere. Lots of families. Food and service was excellent. I couldn't fault The Sibin on anything that evening. Well done

The County Club
Dunshaughlin, Dunshaughlin, Meath

I ate here on Sunday evening. It was not very busy at the time but we got a lovely meal with good service. This place serves up good food at decent prices. We eat here about once a month and always get good value.
