I ate here with my family over Christmas. The restaurant itself is nicely laid out and the staff are very plesant. The food is ok, average. The main problem I found with this restaurant was with the menu itself. The actual menu had paper-clips all over it. There were 'specials' selotaped to the cover... there was four different menus on offer...but only between certain times. It made the place feel very cheap. There were six of us eating but we ended up getting so confused that the waitress had to point to what we could order on the menu. The food was ok, we got the fishcakes for starters which were deepfried and very little fish. The steak was lovely, served with chips..I felt that a few vegetables would have been nice with it. Its a lovely place to meet up with friends however I wouldne come here for a romantice meal.... Overall, its an average restaurant. I feel that if the layout of the menu was improved, it would bring up the class and feel of the place.

Jamie's Italian
Pembroke District, Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dublin 14 , Dundrum, Dublin

Sorry but I cannot recommend this place at all. I requested gluten free pasta, they don't do it. The menu has no indicators of wheat, gluten etc. ordered rice balls for starters...came with chilli.... They arrived deep fried in bread crumbs... Now. Hate fried food but it didn't state this on the menu. Sauce with them was grand. Partner got a meat board.. Alright but only 3 pieces of meat. Partner ordered pasta with prawns and chili... So bland it was awful.. Shrimps, not prawns and only about 4 in the dish... I ordered stuffed turkey breast... Came out the size of the plate flattened covered in breadcrumbs and deep fried... Again... This wasn't mentioned on the menu.. Maybe it was my ignorance not knowing that the name gave it away but the description was not accurate whatsoever... Desserts and coffee was fab.. Only nice bit €90 plus tips for this meal... I know they're trying to be high class but the value was horrific.... Better going to McDonald's and go there for dessert

Le Bon Crubeen
81-82 Talbot Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

I ate here with by partner. Food is AMAZING!!!! i picked it as it always came up on menupages as being a very good restaurant and reasonably priced. The food is outstanding, the service is also amazing and the atmosphere is lovely. I have no complaints really, except that there is a big billboard outsiade saying cheap French food. Now, its not exhorbitant prices at all, however, our bill for two of us still came to €130 for the meal. I would say thats average considering the standard of food, it is fantastic food, but not cheap by any means whatsoever. If you are looking for a night out, its lovely.

Rolys Bistro
7 Ballsbridge Terrace, Dublin, Ballsbridge, Dublin

I received a voucher at the food and wine magazine fair for €30 for 3 course meal for two in Rolys cafe. I bought it as I had never been to Rolys before and we live nearby. The food was fantastic in the cafe. I loved the duck and the little miniature deserts..... The wines were very reasonably priced... Rose for €20.... All in all, I would defiantly be back. The only thing I would say is that the staff were clearly having a disagreement between them and a manager. I’m not sure exactly what went on, but the manager started this in front of the customers.... it should be kept to the back room....

The Chop House Gastro Pub
2 Shelbourne Road, City Centre South, Dublin

I came here with my partner for a birthday dinner. I had never been here before but drove past every day. The food was lovely, the menu is a bit quirky, i think they had changed it in the past few weeks. It is not the menu on menupages and the prices are also different. I got the steak which was fantastic. The bread is fab as well. The service is brilliant, couldnt complain about anything really. The atmosphere was realxed and chilled out, what you would expect from a gastropub. The only starter under €10 was the soup for €7.50..... The steak was €27 which is what you would have paid in the high times. Our bill for two people was €120 for dinner (incl wine for €30) plus a tip on top of that. All in all, I loved it but wont be back until prices have dropped.

Herbstreet
Hanover Quay, Dublin 2 , Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

i went here for dinner with the girls the staff were amazing. We were allowed to take our time over the food, which meant we could take breaks between the dinner and dessert! the food is diverse and plenty of choice for everyone. Would recommend to a friend

The Winding Stair Restaurant
40 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1 , City Centre North, Dublin

We go here for every special occasion. its by far my favourite restaurant. Id say by this stage we have tried everything on the menu and can honestly say we have never found a single critiscism relating to the food the staff are very very friendly, the are helpful in choosing food and wine while not buzzing around our table! which is nice compared to other places! its a very intimate atmosphere, but perfect for romantic or quiet nights. its a bit on the pricey side, 150 for 3 course coffee and a bottle of wine for 2 ppl. but this would be around average for a restaurant in dublin. would recommend it to anyone that would ask!
