Went here last night. It was extremely busy. The atmosphere was great. We were seated after a 10 minute wait, ordered the half chicken buttermilk, the chili crusted chicken pieces and the semolina coated chicken. They arrived in buckets which looked fab. The half chicken was quartered into pieces . We ordered 3 sauces - the habanero (seriously hot), jalapeno (brilliant - hot and vinegary) and the garlic/herb/oil one called something like 'chullaburo' or something. We had a few beers and really enjoyed our dinner. It all came to 45 euro (4 drinks included). Really fun place to eat out. I'll be sad to see it go. One negative aspect - only one toilet - unisex.

Pitt Bros Smoked BBQ
Unit 1, Wicklow House, Georges St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

What a disappointment! Looking forward to good bbq meat and we get dried up cuts slathered in sauce to cover up the dryness. So gutted! Why would they serve brisket if they cannot cook it? It should be moist and succulent, it was dry and cardboard-like. The ribs were chewy. Not fall off the bone ribs (we ordered the Pitt bros ribs, not St. Louis style). The sides were lovely but who goes to a bbq joint for the sides.... Very disappointing. They are not treating their meat with the respect it deserves.

Geisha Restaurant & Bar (Malahide)
Marina Village, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin

I had the eel nigiri, which was perfect. My partner had the chili and salt calamari which was substandard. It was very heavy on the batter side almost onion ring batter! The mains were lovely, the drunken seafood and Malaysian fish dish. Both extremely tasty. One fault the restaurant had was seating us at the piano, we had to shout to each other. We asked to move and we were shown a table away from everything in the back, awful. When we asked why we couldn't have any of the other vacant tables in the front, the maître-d asked if we had booked. We confirmed we had reserved a table and suddenly he seated us in a lovely table by the window. What was that about?

This is what I would presume a traditional Mexican should be like. No enchiladas or burritos here. The tostadas and tacos are sublime. Baja taco is a fish taco with lime mayo, it is exquisite. The tequila cocktails are expensive but worth the splurge. Perfectly blended and strong. A fab night out guaranteed here, the staff are courteous and a lot of fun. Only gripe is there's no pre booking so get ready to wait in line.

Kitchen
3 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Kitchen surpassed all expectations. It is very elegant inside with a french twist to the decor. The meal itself was gorgeous. Calamari was perfectly cooked, light and spicy. The crab cakes were very light and fluffy - nothing at all like what some restaurants serve! The special on the night was panko fried cod and chips. BEAUTIFUL! We had the house red wine, very smooth and not very heavy. I do have one observation, they don't have any snack style food like burger, pizza, ciabatta which could help draw the customers. All in all an excellent place to eat out!

Whitefriar Grill
16 Aungier Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

White friar grill, two thumbs up! Their brunch is brilliant. The choices are vast but I recommend any of the meals that include the black pudding. Their bloody Mary's come with extra Tabasco - perfect for me. Only one gripe, their pulled pork special was gone by the time we arrived. It sounded gorgeous.

Bay Restaurant
369 Clontarf Road, Dublin 3, Clontarf, Dublin

I went here for Brunch one saturday. Its a nice place, a little cramped and crowded but the food is excellent and it does add to the atmosphere. A lovely seafront view can be had at the window seats.

McHugh’s Wine & Dine Restaurant
59 St. Assam's Park, Dublin 5, Raheny, Dublin

I really like this restaurant. The food is excellent quality. I usually have a fish or the daily special dish. My partner has the steak - he says the quality of the meat is excellent. The place itself is done up as a parisien cafe. Really cute. And if you are ready to have a pre or post dinner drink go across the road to Cedar Lounge. Its a fabulous 'old world' bar!

The Mint Cottage
2A Main Street, Raheny, Dublin

I was so happy to see this new restaurant open in Raheny. It is a good 'high end' Indian with excellent quality food and service. When I first went there it was during the snow at Christmas. The manager came over and gave us each a free glass of red while we were waiting to head out into the snow. I go quite regularly now and that personal touch is still there. Lovely.

Went here and the place is amazing. My favourite restuarant. Have been going there for over a year now and I love it. The mirch masala gosht is spectacular and the Emiliana Argentinian shiraz is a gorgeous accompaniment.

Boulevard Cafe
27 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Went here with my parents. They fit all the family in on speck. It was a really lovely restaurant. Bistro type food. The seafood and fish were amazing. The house white is crisp and well recommended! I didn't have the desserts but me sister and mother did, huge portions!

Yamamori Sushi, Tengu
38-39 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Love love love this restaurant! The layout is spacious but intimate and you will not feel like you are listening into other people's conversations! I recommend the Bento Box and any of the sushi dishes - especially the eel. The house Sake is lovely. Range of beers not bad either.

Odessa
13 Dame Court, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

Odessa is a good, open spaced restaurant with plenty of options to choose from. The food is light and excellently presented. The seating downstairs is more intimate - candles, big armchairs etc. Upstairs is bright and airy and well-suited for groups. Would definitely recommend the brunch on Sundays.
