A little bit expensive but the food is so unusual and such good quality that it's worth it! I love this place! The flavours are so strong...I got some kind of lasagne with walnuts in it last time, I'm always thrilled to try new things here! If only I could afford it. Staff are SO friendly and helpful! And I am a PASSIONATE meat-eater but the vegetarian menu here doesn't sway me one bit!

Not the best Pizza Hut in Dublin. Food took too long too come even though it was VERY quiet. I also found the lighting a bit too bright!

Ramos Greek Restaurant and Mezze Bar
Lotts Lane, City Centre North, Dublin

I go for the buffet, as I'm the only one out of my friends who eats Greek food and I can take my plate into the main seating area of the Epicurean Food Hall! The staff are really casual, the food is a LITTLE cooler than I'd like, but otherwise it's really good. Pretty full buffet, great flavours, good quality chicken (important with buffets!). Wouldn't book it for a party or anything, but it's a great place to go with a few friends for a quick bite.

Zaytoon (Lower Camden Street)
44-55 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

These kebabs are amazing. I had the chicken kebab once and oh my god the flavour...it was amazing. I wasn't even that drunk. Seriously though, I love this place. And they top the kebab off with the shredded beet root and it actually tastes amazing. Atmosphere wise it's not as great as the one on Parliament street but that may be just because they wouldn't let us in to look for seating.

Zaytoon (Parliament Street)
14/15 Parliament Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

One of the slightly pricier post-night out joints, but so good. Kebabs are pretty amazing. I love the layout of the place. At 2am you literally have people crawling over each other. It's just THE place to be after the Turk's Head or wherever. I, unlike all of the other reviewers here, have actually been here sober several times. It's still one of the better kebab places but to be honest I prefer the one at Harcourt because they put the beetroot on it...

Mao Restaurant (Chatham Row)
2-3 Chatham Row, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went to celebrate my mum's birthday. It was really quiet that night and the staff were SO attentive. It was really lovely. The food was amazing. I had the Mao House Salad, (which I think is absolutely incredbile, it has this lovely neutral kind of yogurt based dressing) as a starter and then the Five Spice Chicken as a main course. It wasn't anywhere near as hot as I'd expected, but it was just really nice. Would definitely go back. Unfortunately, it's still a bit pricey.

Mao Restaurant (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

Went on a really busy night in january (who goes out on a tuesday?!) and the service wasn't great. They were just a little understaffed, but then again I didn't find the staff all that pleasant in general, except for the manager who was LOVELY. Had the House Salad, which I think is the best salad I've EVER had. Didn't like having to dish out the money for each overpriced diet coke I ordered though. The Portions are huge. My house salad was easily enough for 2 dinners. Overall, I was really happy but it would be perfect if it were a little cheaper.

La Caverna Restaurant & Wine Bar
12 Fownes Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Had the lasagne, which was a bit greasy but I must confess I loved the heaps of gloopy cheese...! Fries on the side were actually excellent too, has to be noted. Service was lovely- our waiter was so funny I nearly spat my drink in my lap. Definitely going back!

China Castle
58/59 Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Dublin

This is my favourite restaurant in the city! I gained 5 pounds in the 2 weeks after I first found this place! All you can eat chinese buffet for €8.80!! They have loads of things to try out. I've only been to one other chinese buffet in dublin (off wicklow street somewhere) and this is at least ten times better. The quality is similar to what you would get at a decent chinese takeaway. It's really nice and clean, the tables are small, modern and cute. I just love it. The only problem is that the desert selection on the buffet is very limited- only some sort of chocolate chip loaf and wedges of orange!! But the selection of other foods makes up for it! AMAZING!!!

Wagamama - Stephen's Green
St Stephen's Green Centre, South King St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Had a voucher. Great food- got the yaki soba. Liked the little hooks for handbags under the table! Large portions, staff were reasonably friendly. Definitely going back!

The Gingerman
40 Fenian Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Had a platter of sides between a friend and myself. Only cost about a tenner and they gave us loads. It even included prawns! I am definitely going back. Staff are really friendly. Place is kind of small though, when it gets busy.

Pizza Hut
24 Suffolk Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Best pizza hut in the city! Ok it's not the best for service or anything, but it has the best atmosphere and I've always had fun here. Plus they have the all you can eat ice cream machine!

Lemon (Dawson St)
60 Dawson St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

The pancakes are always gorgeous. The choc ice is a favourite of mine if I want something sweet. The savoury ones are great too, last time I got the mexicano and it was SO GOOD. LOVE this place. Outdoor seating is great too.

Keogh's Cafe
1-2 Trinity Street, City Centre South, Dublin

I used to pop in for a Pear and Vanilla Scone every day before class...THESE ARE WITHOUT A DOUBT THE BEST SCONES IN THE CITY. Great for just popping in and popping out.

Eddie Rockets (Baggot Street)

I love this Eddie's! always a good buzz in here. Food is always good, service is always fast. Had the wings for the first time in here...a bit too sweet!

The Steps Of Rome
1 Bird avenue, Clonskeagh, Clonskeagh, Dublin

Love the pizza here...3.50 for a big slice with no crust! And you get unusual toppings like artichoke or potato. Really nice to grab on the go and eat out of the brown paper. I sat in one time and had pizza squares. Nice but it's pretty small and the tables are tight. Not a great atmosphere.

Captain America's Cookhouse and Bar (Tallaght)
Unit A3 Tallaght Cross Dublin 24, Tallaght, Dublin

I love captain america's! I'm so glad they opened one in tallaght. The cocktails are amazing, and the food is SO GOOD. I got the Southwestern burger last time. I kind of regretted it because the chilli really took away from the taste of the burger...kind of neutralized it... I love the way there's an outdoor seating area in this captain america's though! Great for the summer!

Little Caesars of Rathfarnham
Rathfarnham Orchard, Butterfield Ave, South Dublin, Rathfarnham, Dublin

GREAT FOOD. Always pretty busy, but has a nice local vibe to it. The house wine is pretty nice too. Got a pizza- good size and really nice! For dessert I got one of the orange skins filled with sorbet...the sorbet was a bit too icey. Felt like a diet dessert, although that may have been its purpose.

Eddie Rockets (Rathmines)
Lower Rathmines Road, South Dublin, Rathmines, Dublin

Just as good as any of the Eddie's out there...I LOVE THEIR CHOCOLATE MALTS! And the chicken fillet burger...Eddie's burgers are so good!

profile_review

Cafe Moda
192 Lower Rathmines Road, Rathmines, Dublin

Food's not great. Had a toasted sandwich- really not great. But I do love their flavoured sodas (almond is lovely!). The best thing about this place is you can stay here til 4am playing board games on the couches! Love it!

Thunder Road Cafe
Fleet Street, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

GREAT atmosphere. Food is great, always lots of fun. Had the spicy macoroni al pollo last time. Huge portions, really good food. Cocktails are great here too, great place for a party. Always go here with friends.

Stone Haven Restaurant
Mill Street, Maynooth, Maynooth, Kildare

Went for Valentine's Day 2007...Food was good. Had the smoked salmon roulade as a starter and it was gorgeous. Then I had the fillet steak, it was really good too. Really lovely interior, great atmosphere for Valentine's day. Staff were a little inattentive but it was a busy night.

profile_review

The Roost
Leinster Street, Maynooth, Maynooth, Kildare

Nice atmosphere. Dim or well-lit seating areas available. Food DOES take a while to come. The sandwiches aren't the best. I think I had a pasta with prawns in it last year, but it doesn't seem to be on the menu anymore. The prawns were way too strong!

profile_review

Yamamori Noodles
71-72 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

The food here is so good - the only problem is that it's kind of expensive! Otherwise it's one of my favourite places to eat. Best sushi I've ever had. I used to get the edamame as a starter and it's the best edamame I've ever had to date! They also give you a huge bowl. I'd often get tempura soba which was gorgeous. One downside is that they basically bring the food out as it is prepared...so one of you may be waiting until the other person has finished their meal until yours arrives. I've eaten here 4 or 5 times and had this problem several times!

Ciao Bella Roma
24/25 Parliament Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

This is my favourite restaurant in the city I think! The lunchtime menu is incredible- 8.95 for a starter, a main course and a glass of wine!!! I always order the bruschetta as a starter and I think it's the best bruschetta I've ever had, so authentic and home-made. My mouth is watering just thinking of it! I usually get one of the pizzas as a main course, and it's so big it hangs off the plate. IT'S SO GOOD. I bring friends here all the time.

Pizza Hut (Liffey Valley)

This is my second favourite pizza hut in Dublin - good food and good service. Really convenient for shopping.

profile_review

Spurs Family Restaurant
U42 Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, Liffey Valley, Liffey Valley, Dublin

I love this place! Large portion size, free refills on drinks, great atmosphere. Last time I was there I had a 6oz steak (rare). GORGEOUS. The coleslaw they serve it with is so good, and the fried onions are amazing. The fries, however, are only so-so.

Eddie Rockets (Liffey Valley)

Nice eddies, convenient while shopping, malt and chicken fillet was up to the normal Eddie's standard!

Elephant & Castle
18/19 Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

The chicken wings are AMAZING- no wonder they're so famous. I've never seen anyone finish an entire basket though! Service is pretty good, it's mainly about the food though. I also had a sundae once and was really taken aback- the ice cream is EXCELLENT. The fudge sauce was that really good thick and gritty kind, and there were WHOLE hazelnuts sprinkled all over it...WOW. I love this place.

Dante (Dundrum)

Lovely and quiet. Never have to wait for a table. Great service. Lovely dim lighting. I had a pizza (LOVELY) and my friend had the chicken breast and a side of the roast potatos which were GORGEOUS. Food is so good here.
