Visited here during lunch with a friend. Have to say I could not fault it. Menu was good - standard menus lists a number of bruschettas and salads / platters, while a specials menu (which changes daily) contains threee pastas and a special bruschetta. For starters we ordered a mozzeralla and tomato bruschetta between us - probably no need to, as we got a huge basket of freshly baked italian style bread, which was still warm - yum! For mains we ordered pasta (ravioli in a butter and sage sauce for myself and spinach and ricotta penne for my friend) - both were absolutely gorgeous, and good portions. We both ordered a glass of wine each, recommended to us by the waiter. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, and we didnt feel rushed at all - really good atmosphere. Price was really reasonable too! Ive been trying to drag my friends back ever since - totally recommend it!

La Dolce Vita (Wexford)
6-7 Trimmers Lane, Wexford, Wexford Town, Wexford

Have visited Dolce Vita a number of times for lunch, and decided to give the newly offered evening menu a try with a friend of mine. Overall it was fab. Both our starters (I had prawns and my friend had salad) and mains (I had monkfish and my friend had a tomato pasta) were gorgeous. Could not fault them... I really loved my friends main though, couldnt stop eating her leftovers! Portions were also very generous and our bread basket (with yum homemade olive bread) along with olive oil dip was filled up twice. I also had some lovely Pinot Grigio.....the final bill was very reasonable. I would highly recommend Dolce Vita somewhere very reasonable, informal atmosphere and great food.

The Potato Market
O'Donovans Wharf Crescent Quay, Wexford Town, Wexford

Have visited this place with my friends on a Sunday morning a number of times... a couple of times I have been bitterly disappointed! It has the potential to be a lovely place (great fit out, location, nice staff, etc), however the standard of food is NOT good! My particular bugbear is scrambled egg... I think in this day and age, and particularly when you are paying €10 for eggs on toast, you should not get microwave scrambled eggs, how hard is it to make them properly - disgusting! My friends have not been happy with their choice on a couple of occasions also. I hope they up their game, as it has the potential to be a lovely restaurant.....

Chapter One Restaurant
18/19 Parnell Square, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Visited Chapter One for lunch with some colleagues a few weeks ago, and all I can say is AMAZING! From the minute we walked in, to the second we left, I was very impressed. The waiters were very friendly, and were regularly asking you were you OK, although not in an overbearing way. My starter was fab, the white pudding, and had been recommended to me by a number of people. The chicken wasnt exactly to my taste, but the side dishes were delicious, as was the dessert (meringue)... Im still talking about the toppings on the dessert! All my colleagues thoroughly enjoyed their meals, with each getting the slow cooked lamb.... And the bill worked out as very reasonable....

Taste (Wexford)
1 Selskar Avenue, Wexford, Wexford Town, Wexford

I had visited Taste previously, and thoroughly enjoyed my meal - my fish was melt in your mouth, the dessert, wine and starters were fabulous. However, I visited again, about 8 weeks ago (Sept 08) was I was soooo disappointed as I had been looking forward to eating here all week! Me and my three friends arrived at 9.30. Each of our starters and main courses were luke warm / cold. My friend ordered fish, and it arrived completely undercooked. The waiter tried to convince us the lights made it 'appear' undercooked!!! They took it away and cooked it, but my friend wasnt able to stomach it after that, and was very annoyed by the waiters response. I ordered the Monkfish tagliatelle, the fish was cold, and very tough. I ordered this dish the first time I visited Taste, and it was amazing but this version terrible in comparison! I just hope this was a once off, as I have heard great things otherwise about the restaurant.
