Indie Dhaba
21-26 South Anne Street, City Centre South, Dublin

The food here was amazing, but the restuarant was cold and service was appalling. This led to one of our dishes being handed to us cold. The waiters had no knowledge of the dishes that they were serving. When the wrong desert was served to us, we called the waiter over and he told us that the (Indian named) dessert that we had ordered translated to rhubarb crumble in English. We found this strange as rhubarb crumble was also on the menu. We then called another waiter over and asked about the dessert, they informed us that they didn't know the food as it was their first night. Eventually we were given the correct dessert, followed by a feeble excuse as to the mix up, and we weren't offered anything to compensate. Our empty drinks glasses were removed from the table at the end of the meal, without us being asked whether we would like more. All in all, the mixture of tapas style dining and top quality Indian dishes worked well and we really enjoyed the flavours presented. Unfortunately the inexperienced staff and poor customer service left us with a bad overall impression of this restaurant.

Diwali Indian Restaurant
Unit 1, Castle House, South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We had sunday lunch here and did not find the food great. There are better Indian restaurants in Dublin. Good enough value for average food.

Lautrecs Tapas & Wine Bar Kilkenny
9 St Kieran's Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

Had the early bird here which was great. The portions were large; not what you would usually expect from an early bird.

Kokoro Sushi Bento
19 Lower Liffey Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Really love this take away. The sushi is reduced after 6 so we got enough for two for only €10.

Mexico to Rome
23 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

I tried this restaurant after reading good menupages reviews. It was the worst meal I have had in a long time. I wasn't expecting it to be great considering we went for the cheap early bird but there wasn't anything to like about the food or service.

Zaytoon (Parliament Street)
14/15 Parliament Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I think the veggie kebab here is great. Plenty of bbq veg with tasty sauces. Couldn't finish it all. Definately wouldn't have needed extra food!

Darwins
80 Aungier Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

The food here is great. While Darwins prides itself on its steak, the seafood is superb.

Jewel in the Crown (South William Street)
5 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I used to really enjoy eating here but was left bitterly disappionted after my visit yesterday. The chicken was horrible! The only part of the meal that I enjoyed was the portion of popadams and dips.

Sunnybank Hotel
Botanic Road, North Dublin, Glasnevin, Dublin

Nice bar serving good carvery dinner.

The Hungry Monk
Church Road, Greystones, Greystones, Wicklow

I ate downstairs here for the first time. Not a great choice for the pescatarion as the only fish on offer was battered cod. I opted for the veggie lasagna which was good. Mushrooms to start were good too. Wasn't blown away by the food though.

Bistro Bianconi (Ranelagh)
12 Ranelagh Village, Ranelagh, Dublin

Tastier than the average delivered pizza although a bit pricey considering it matches other eat-in prices in Ranelagh.

Sushi King now closed on Dawson St
Gochi Japaenese-French Fusion Now Open, City Centre South, Dublin

The sushi presentation has improved since the last time I was here. They have also started bento boxes for €10.

Eatery 120
120 Ranelagh Road, Ranelagh, Dublin

I still really like this restaurant but food was not as good as the last time I ate here. I found the prawn cocktail starter flavourless, half my mussels were unopened and the cheese bord consisted entirely of goats cheese (which was not indicated on the menu). The waitress had trouble understanding the menu which contrasted greatly with the experienced waiter that we had for our last visit. I think I picked the wrong dishes as the other dishes brought to the table were beautiful.

Jaipur Restaurant (George's Street)
41 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

We availed of the dine in dublin offer here. 30 euro for three courses and coffee. The food was great and staff were very attentive. Will be returning here soon.

Hobarts
Ranelagh Village, Ranelagh, Dublin

This cafe has the best hangover food. The breakfast menu is huge.

La Caverna Restaurant & Wine Bar
12 Fownes Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

DO NOT EAT HERE. We couldn't eat our "meals". Worst food I have tasted in years and my partner felt the same way.

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

great value early bird with early bird drinks too!

profile_review

Cornucopia
19/20 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

The best veggie breakfast around! Complete with homemade baked beans and homemade hash browns.

profile_review

Leon Brasserie
Trinity Street, City Centre South, Dublin

The pastries here are just as good as would find in France. This is a great spot to go for a coffee. Be careful when ordering a hot choc as they are very filling.

Govindas Restaurant (Merrion Row)
18 Merrion Row, City Centre South, Dublin

I'm not very fond of the food here. I've eaten here a good bit but always feel i'm eating food that has been sitting stewing all day. I really don't understand how they sell 'healthy' food as the veg are always stewed to pieces.

The Steps Of Rome
1 Bird avenue, Clonskeagh, Clonskeagh, Dublin

The pizza slices here are great. I especially like the mushroom, cherry tomato and garlic one. Good coffee too!

FIRE Restaurant and Lounge
Mansion House, Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

After reading the reviews for this restaurant I was really looking forward to trying it out. I was very disappointed with the atmosphere, the food and the prices. I have no problem paying high prices if the standard of the food warrants such prices but this food was not good enough. The medium rare steak arrived medium well done and the artichoke and spinach gratin starter was more like a boiling hot plate of cheese. On top of this our table was so big we had trouble hearing each other speak.

Homans
Greystones, Greystones, Wicklow

great selection of coffee and tea. Good for sugary treats.

profile_review

Bochellis (Greystones)
Church Road, Greystones, Wicklow

Not a great atmosphere here. On one occasion I was unimpressed with the veg lasagne but the pizza tastes great.

This is a wonderful Indian. Food is delicious. Waiter noticed a birthday card on the table and produced a lit cake!

Nostalgia
65 High Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

This is a horrible place to eat. Food is not good and is overpriced.

profile_review

Anocht Restaurant
Castle Yard, The Parade, Kilkenny, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

Had lunch here on xmas eve. The food was great, homemade cranberry sauce was the highlight for me.

profile_review

Key Largo
1/2 Canal Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

great value for money here. Tasty food but service is usually quite slow.

profile_review

Langton House Hotel Kilkenny
69 John Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

Had dinner at Langtons a number of times in the last year and have found the standard to be quite low. Have ordered fish, on a few occasions, which arrived at the table overcooked. Also, asked for turkey without ham for one meal and found small pieces of ham in my veg.

profile_review

Yamamori Noodles
71-72 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I have to disagree with the last reviewer. I am a regular visitor to Yamamori and have never had a problem with the service or food. Today my boyfriends eyes were bigger than his belly and the waiter had no problem sending us off with a doggy bag! Food was great - better value at lunchtime.

profile_review

Punjabi By Nature Indian Restaurants & Takeaway
15 Ranelagh Village, South Dublin, Ranelagh, Dublin

I wasn't impressed with the food or service in this restaurant. I ordered a dish with paneer cheese only to find that there was only one piece of paneer in the dish. I have eaten here a number of times over the last few years and have noticed a slip in standards over the past year.

Village Cafe
Rathmines, Rathmines, Dublin

I was glad to see a change of menu etc in the village but today I was very disappointed with the "coffee" I was served. The village used to serve great coffee complete with crema head; what I got was like hot, black water. In order to get what used to be the norm I had to opt for an americano.

profile_review

Monsoon (Rathmines)
306-308 Lower Rathmines Road, Rathmines, Dublin

I eat here regularly and have never been disappointed. The menu is huge and reasonably priced. If you don't mind eating in a fairly empty restaurant the early bird menu is worth a shot.

profile_review

Jo'Burger
137 Rathmines Road, Dublin 6 , South Dublin, Rathmines, Dublin

The first time i visited this place I found it quite interesting. The 'coolness' vibe soon gets old. The staff sit with you to take your order and they play the music so loud on weekends that its impossible to make conversation. The food is tasty but not worth the money.

Pinocchio Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar
Luas Kiosk, Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

This is a great Italian cafe. The food, coffee and pastries are tasty and reasonably priced. There is not enough table seating room and the high stool seats are uncomfortable as they are in front of shelves with not much leg room.

profile_review

Ginger
146a Lower Rathmines Road, Rathmines, Dublin

This place is not as reasonably priced as the decor would suggest. The food is fine, we found that the water had a strange after taste.

profile_review

Kafka (Dublin)
236 Lower Rathmines Road, Dublin 6, Rathmines, Dublin

This is a wonderful restaurant. Reasonably priced food cooked to perfection.

profile_review

Tippenyaki

This restaurant is on my street so I eat here often for lunch and dinner. The quality has soared since the restaurants opening. The sushi is unique and tastes like no other in Dublin.

Mother Reillys Restaurant
The Uppercross Hotel, Opp Tesco, Rathmines, Dublin

This is a relaxing, informal, place to eat. The food surpasses usual pub grub expectations. I particularly enjoyed the veggie lasagna. Would not recommend the prawn pancake starter as it's too heavy for a starter.

profile_review

Yamamori Sushi, Tengu
38-39 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

I really enjoyed the special crispy monkfish norimaki and tuna and avacado miso salad. This place never dissapoints.
