We had a wonderful meal here. There was 6 of us and we were lucky enough to get the chefs table. The waiter suggested we have a selection of starters

Wagamama Dundrum
Unit G1, Building 12, Pembroke District, Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

Been here twice since it opened and love it too, its soo fresh and tasty. Keep trying new things off the menu and havent been disappointed yet. The seating doesnt actually bother me I think it adds to the atmosphere of get in , eat and get out :) love this place wont stop coming here

161 Cafe Bistro
161 Upper Rathmines Road, South Dublin, Rathmines, Dublin

Had a gorgeous evening here with two others one thursday, food was delicious and beautifully presented. There was only one other couple there at the time which was a pity because it lacked atmosphere slightly. Dinner was great value though with a gorgeous rioja reserva for only €18 as are all their wines. I hear its great for breakfast too. Decor gorgeous but seats are a bit uncomfy. would definitely return & definitely recommend :)

Kafka (Dublin)
236 Lower Rathmines Road, Dublin 6, Rathmines, Dublin

went here with 2 others, was quite disappointed with the whole experience. Couldnt really fault the food apart from the salads being mostly greens and having to search for beetroot & walnuts that were promised! Was very dear for what we got especially for a lunch visit. Not sure if I would return nor recommend...

Konkan Indian Restaurant Dundrum
1 Upper Kilmacud Road, Dundrum Village, Opp Dundrum Garda Station, Dundrum, Dublin

went here with 5 others on a Tuesday evening, the food was delish, the early bird was 16.95 for 2 courses there was plenty of food and they spiced my meal up for me as requested. would definitely recommend this place, only thing is its quite small so if its empty there isntmuch privacy. would definitely return tho

The Happy Pear
Church Road, Greystones, Greystones, Wicklow

So worth the drive out here to get hearty vegetarian food, wouldnt normally be my cup of tea but the food was absolutely gorgeous, atmosphere so homely with a real fire upstairs on a horrible cold day. bought some things in the shop next door. would definitely return and 100pc recommend :)

Went here on a rainy Wednesday afternoon for lunch. food was surprisingly nice, wasnt expecting much. Staff werent very helpful or accommodating to our vegetarian friend but apart from that was nice.

Cornucopia
19/20 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

was reluctantly brought here by my vegetarian sister so I have to admit I ate before I went but I did regret that. had a taste of the other two peoples lunches the food was delicious. My brother had a lasagne style dish with aubergine and risotto rice and my sister had the soup and gorgeous bread.I had a slice ofcake and coffee. Didnt like the way you had to queue up and in fact you cant see all they have to offer because the serveover counters are positioned in such a way that it is difficult to see. Have to agree with previous reviewer saying it had a hippy feel! Was nice probably would return

Dillingers
47 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

Ate here for lunch last Tuesday have been dying to try this place for ages! Had the french onion soup which was on special..best I ever had (including NYC!) and had the shrimp and clam linguine for main. My colleague had gravadlax for starter, quite small and dear but lovely and she had perfectly cooked cod for main. We had cappucinos no dessert and we had a lovely french waiter who was very polite. All for under €50. Cannot wait to go back would highly recommend !

Douglas & Kaldi Terrace Cafe and Restaurant
Level 2, Dundrum Town Centre, Dundrum, Dublin

what a fabulous little idyllic restaurant this is. Such nice decor, really fab simple food and lovely staff. I absolutely loved this place, had the ultimate ciabatta and chips, presentation was fab. Couple next to me had just a glass of wine and some ice cream. they have a lovely little library that you can read and leave a book if you so wish. u wouldnt know this little haven is in the middle of Dundrum SC!

The Counter Dundrum
Pembroke District, (adjacent to the Mill Pond at Town Square), Dundrum, Dublin

Went here with my friend, her husband and 3 young boys. The place is very child friendly, wouldnt recommend for romantic meal for 2! We ordered promptly and they served everybody except one of her kids, a 5 yr old boy. we asked 4 times for his food and eventually it came, when we were all finished. they had forgotten to cook his meal. the child had to eat off our plates for the duration. we ordered a plain burger as he is lactose intolerant and out came the burger covered in cheese...he couldnt even eat what was delivered late. thought this was a disgrace. they knocked a good bit off the bill but wasnt the point. its got great potential but wouldnt go out of my way to go here again.

Brunos
Eustace Street, Temple Bar, Dublin

This has to be one of the worst restaurants I have ever visited. It looks so attractive from the outside and the fact they extended their early bird til 8pm was our attraction. I ordered chicken "wings" with blue cheese sauce and my friend had the Samosa type things for starters. We were waiting all of about 3 minutes for it to come out. I got the cheapest tiniest bits of chicken on the plate, smothered in cheap sweet chilli sauce out of a jar it was inedible. My friend said the samosas were ok. We both ordered the risotto...said there was langoustines and prawns...we both got the head of one langoustine and about 3 shrimps. it was awful. there was a baby bawling its eyes out the whole time we were there. The waiting staff are its only saving grace they were lovely. We asked for 2 baileys coffees instead of the normal coffee and they charged us 9 euro extra.... I would highly recommend that you avoid this restaurant...I wouldnt even send my ex here!!

WILDE
The Westbury, Grafton Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Visited here with a very large group (50-60 people) last Thursday night. was really looking forward to it...how disappointed was i?? VERY! had the Foie Gras to start, which was so chilled my knife wouldnt cut through it. Then had the fillet of beef, which wasnt a fillet and when the waiter asked how I would like it done, didnt understand the meaning of "bleu" I was appalled. They insisted on taking our dessert orders at the starter ordering which i wasnt v pleased with so ordered nothing. For €69.50 for the set menu I certainly will not be returning here again. Very average food in an overpriced location..

Nandos (Dundrum)
Sandyford Road, Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

Went here with a friend on a busy Saturday in dundrum. we went here deliberately because I am on a low fat diet and saw i could get chicken in a pitta with salad etc. First of all the staff are lovely but they don't explain the way it works well enough. for 15 mins me and my heavily pregnant friend were going around picking up cutlery, drinks and condiments. then i ordered the simplest thing which was a bit of chicken in a pitta with all the salads but dressings on the side. my food came, order was completely wrong, chicken with no salad shoved in the pitta. my friends chips were cold and no side dressings. waited another 10 mins for the correct order and a further 5 mins for my dressings. it cost us 27 euro on a sat lunchtime...i will NOT be returning, very disappointed

Eatery 120
120 Ranelagh Road, Ranelagh, Dublin

Had dinner here last nite, atmosphere was really lovely, funky music.Had the beetroot salad to start and the steak all lovely. Wine was nice, only 22 euro a bottle, had to ask for the bill twice and while the dishes can be tweaked for coeliacs they had no gluten or wheat free crackers in the restaurant. but one of the waitresses did bring out the box of crackers so we could check ingredients. Really liked it overall and would go back

La Cave
28 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

E Scent
Coach House, Ballinteer Avenue, South Dublin, Ballinteer, Dublin

Went here on Sunday for lunch with my mum, its a beautiful place with really really nice staff but it was completely empty...what a pity.. Food was quite average and quite dear for basically takeaway on a plate. But they have a big hot plate in the middle of the restaurant that you could book for a big party, which I would love to do. Wouldn’t go back again for lunch though.

Dobbins Restaurant

Excelsior Oriental Restaurant (Rathfarnham)

Went here for Mother’s Day and I have to say although the food was pretty ordinary the service was great and it was nice and buzzing, would definitely go back

profile_review

The Market Bar
Fade Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Food gorgeous, atmosphere brilliant. Would definitely recommend. The tapas are absolutely gorgeous. It astounds me why more bars in Dublin don’t do tapas.

profile_review

Furama Chinese Restaurant
Eirpage House, Donnybrook, Donnybrook, Dublin

I thought this restaurant was very overpriced for what we got and they were quite slow service wise. They slapped on a service charge and didn’t tell us so we ended up paying a tip as well as service charge but I suppose that was our fault for not checking. Have to say I wouldn’t go back.

Winters Bar
Dundrum Town Centre, Dundrum, Dundrum, Dublin

Have eaten here at lunch, is good for wraps sandwiches etc. bar food is just ok, quite dear for what u get. But a great bar with great atmosphere and staff v friendly.

Milano (Dundrum)
Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

This is a cheap and cheerful place but oh dear the food isn’t good. The salads are nice but they haven’t changed their menu EVER.... its so dull and the meat they use in lasagnes and cannelloni is awful. Would like to know if its Irish beef or what...never go here cuz it’s just not worth it...dough balls are good. That’s it.

First Floor Bar & Brasserie @ Harvey Nichols
Dundrum Town Centre, Sandyford Road, Dundrum, Dublin

I brought my mother to Harvey’s last Saturday night for a very special dinner. We started the evening with some lovely cocktails. We ordered the house wine which was a very reasonable €19.50 for Sauvignon Blanc. We were treated like v posh ladies for the evening and you really do pay for the ambience and the service! It was fab. The food was exquisite with venison and pork belly for main and a beautiful array of desserts. It was just under €200 for 2 but it was worth every cent. Highly recommended.

Mao Restaurant (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

Good food on the go. The caramelised pork belly is just the best ever. Although...warning. you will not be able to finish a main course! I recommend 2 starters and a shared main!

profile_review

Golden Jade Restaurant
13 Braemor Road, Churchtown, Churchtown, Dublin

This used to be a great Chinese restaurant, a little diamond for value etc but then their prices rocketed and the food deteriorated. Its basically take away on a plate. Been for lunch and dinner and am quite disappointed as its quite authentic looking. Could be a lovely place. Plus every time I’m there I’m the only person with my friends...its always empty!

profile_review

Utsav
Number 2, The Rear, Lower Kilmacud Road, Stillorgan, Dublin

This is the most authentic, friendly, atmospheric Indian in Dublin with a staff that would bend over backwards for you. The food is amazing, wine is served chilled and not too pricey! Would definitely recommend.
