We've been here a few times but we both agreed that the lunch was the best we ever had. The menu choices were excellent ... the loin of pork was presented beautifully and cooked perfectly... both desserts - Rhubarb Bakewell and the Panacotta were fantastic... and the staff service was spot on

The Pigeon House - Clontarf
11b Vernon Avenue, Clontarf, Dublin

Meal was fantastic.I had Pork Belly with black pudding and my wife had the chicken liver parfait as starters.. both were perfect. I had the short rib and my wife had the chicken for main courses, As well as being cooked perfectly, the presentation and accompaniments were very innovative. Service was very good.. not overpowering ... and they served my coffee WITH the dessert as I had requested . Many other places get this worong

Cavistons Seafood Restaurant
59 Glasthule Road, Glenageary, South Co. Dublin, Sandycove, Dublin

The ambieince and food was very good. My mackeral starter and Turbot main course were excellent and flavours were well matched.. But I thought the prices were slightly too high

Siam Thai (Malahide)
1 The Green, North Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

We had three in our party. Overall we were disappointed as we have had good experiences here before. The Starter of pork ribs and its sauce was nit very well cooked and the spring rolls were overcooked and slightly burnt. My Jumbo Prawn Massaman curry was very disappointing... The Jumbo Prawns were actually two smaller prawns stuck together and they were VERY tough. The Eton Mess desert was lazily put together with one strawberry. Service was slow given that the restaurant was about 50% full.

Wineport Lodge
Glasson, Glasson, Westmeath

Just had a lovely evening meal , served in the lounge... the Black pudding starter and the potato and onion soup were perfect starters. We had small mixed seafood platter and the hake and chips for main courses... both were excellent.. The service was courteous and unobtrusive...

Really enjoyed our meal... service was efficient and timely and no pressures re time. All our courses were excellent.... and the Lemon and Raspberry tasting plate was one of the very best desserts anywhere...and 100% to the team for serving the dessert and coffee at the same time as requested. We will be back

Geisha Restaurant & Bar (Malahide)
Marina Village, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin

Was there as part of a party of 13. Everyone agreed that the food was quite good with a very varied menu. However the service was awful. From sitting at table at 9:15pm and coffees being served more than three and a half hours later is not good. We were the only table left to be served with dessert and coffees at midnight and even then no urgency by staff to complete service... For service alone I will not be back

McHugh’s Wine & Dine Restaurant
59 St. Assam's Park, Dublin 5, Raheny, Dublin

We had eight for a family dinner, We all had different items on the menu and everyone said that the quality of the food was excellent and the value for money was also excellent. The service was responsive and not obtrusive and , unlike most restaurants when I asked for my coffee to be served with the dessert that is what I got. We will be back

Rolys Bistro
7 Ballsbridge Terrace, Dublin, Ballsbridge, Dublin

Another star performance by the Roly's team. All the courses were great, but the passion fruit panacotta and mango sorbet was fantastic, innovative and tested all your taste buds.. well done. My only gripe is that when we wanted the coffee served WITH the desert , this means at the same time and NOT 6 minutes apart

Twenty2
22 Sion Hill Road, Drumcondra, Dublin 9, Drumcondra, Dublin

First time visit. The Clonakilty Black Pudding starter was very tasty and beautifully presented. My wife's sweet potato and coconut soup was hot and full of flavour. The Main courses were perfect and the chocolate pot desert was to die for. We will be back!

Ours was a party of 2 and the service was very good, timely and not obtrusive. The quality and taste of the food was excellent. My only negative point was that small portion size of the prawn starter on which there could also have been a little more sauce. Will definitely be back again

Geisha Restaurant & Bar (Malahide)
Marina Village, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin

The whole experience was let down by the inadequate service. The day we were there would have been known many months ago as being a busy Christmas Party night so they could have planned for staffing better. A wait of 75 minutes between sitting down and getting the starters was too long which was a pity as the food was not bad... particularly the starter platters

McHugh’s Wine & Dine Restaurant

We had 6 for dinner and the Salad starters were fresh and plentiful. The prawn linguini was cooked beautifully with the sauce properly seasoned. The Service was speedy and unobtrusive. We will be back again

Rolys Cafe

The Mint Cottage
2A Main Street, Raheny, Dublin

We (3) dined at 6:30pm on a Thursday... was quiet when we arrived but atmosphere was good when it filled up. Food was very tasty , particularly the starters, Duck in my case and potato cakes and chicken. Mains were good... helpings not very big ... there could have been more rice served... Service would have been marked better but for confusion with different early bird menus being given and long delay to serve dessert... Marked the value down as have seen better early bird menus with slightly larger selections. Will give them a try again though

Rolys Bistro
7 Ballsbridge Terrace, Dublin, Ballsbridge, Dublin

One of the best quality meals ever had in any restaurant. The seafood platter starter was beautifully presented and the individual tastes brilliant. The Hereford Sirloin steak was perfectly cooked . The only service mark down was being left waiting nearly 15 minutes after dessert was served for the coffee when explicitly the waiter was asked to serve both together...but will definitely be back

Service and atmosphere was excellent for lunch. I had the mushroom and chestnut soup which was tasty and distinctive. My baked cod was cooked to perfection and the usual high quality vegetables. Looking forward to going back for dinner

The Brass Monkey
12 West Pier, Dublin 13, Howth, Dublin

We had a group of nine for an annual get together. The service and food was excellent. The Fish Sole special was very well priced and delicious, albeit a bit bony. The trio of starters (Scallops, Chicken wings and mini slider) was a great idea and well presented. Service was excellent and we were not rushed out at the end of a great night

Kippers Seafood, Steak & Carvery
The Golf Links Public House, Strand Road, Portmarnock, Dublin

We went at lunchtime. Our steaks were cooked exactly as ordered and were very tasty. The presentation of the food and the service was excellent. The only reason that we marked the food quality down slightly was that the onion rings looked a bit 'jaded' and not freshly cooked. Will definitely go back

Ouzos Bar and Grill Blackrock
Main Street, South Co. Dublin , Blackrock, Dublin

Was with a large group of friends. The service was perfect.. attentive but unobtrusive . All the food dishes were excellent. My Liver Parfait was succulent and the main of Battered fish and chips was perfectly cooked.... and we were able to linger long into the evening catching up with my friends. We are going back again in December

L Mulligan Grocer
18 Stoneybatter, Stoneybatter, Dublin

Just visited for the first time with my daughter. It is a bit off the beaten track, but still close to City Centre. and parking was easily available close by. All the items on the menu are interestingly different. I had the Sir Jack McCarthy's Black Pudding, starter and all the tastes were complementary. My daughter had the potted crab which had a range of different flavours .. all good. The Haddock main course was fantastic with beautiful tartare sauce. The celeriac chips with the burger and black pudding were to die for... The dessert of dark chocolate cake, coffee jelly, coconut sorbet, pear slices poached and pistachio bits was fantastic. Coffee served perfectly. We also tried one of the cherry beers and a cider which were high quality and delicious. The prices might seem a little expensive but when you taste the food it was worth it. Will definitely come back to try the other menu items

Restaurant Ten Fourteen
324 Clontarf Road, Clontarf, Dublin

We had a family group of seven. The service from the staff all the way through was excellent, unobtrusive and perfectly pitched. While the menu may appear short, the quality of the food more than compensated. Our table was near the open cooking area, but it never intruded on our enjoyment of the meal. All of the starters were beautifully presented , particularly the warm duck breast. The fish and chips was exquisite, very light batter and presented with perfect tartare sauce and chips. The sea trout was equally as good. All of the desserts were top quality, and the chocolate souffle was par excellence. We asked for our coffes served with the desserts. We really appreciated the touch of serving our coffee's just before the desserts The pricing structure is fantastic and the overall value for money will not be beaten in many other restaurants. We will definiteley be back again soon

Siam Thai (Malahide)
1 The Green, North Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

Ours was a family meal for 6, Overall the experience was good. The taste and flavour of the food was high quality and very well presented. The menu is extensive and varied. All our starters were superb.Small things like being charged for prawn crackers that we didnt order when we were seated took away from the experience. 4 tiny pieces of chicken in main course curry for €18 is overpricing in the extreme... The 3 flavour jumbo prawns was fantastic. Will go back soon to see if the small things have improved
