I ate here when i was passing one thursday evening. It was rather quiet and we sat at a table beside the stove. It has a wam and homely feel to it. The staff were good. I found it a little expensive though but there was no shortage of food on the plate!

Murphy's Pub - Leixlip
Main Street, Leixlip, Kildare

I ate here on a sunday evening. The menu had great choice and I went for the bruschetta and the steak sanwich. I thought the food was exquisite. Unfortunately the service was very poor and tthe restaurant at the time was not busy. I would eat here again though because the food is a winner!

The Ivy @ Dunboyne Castle
Dunboyne Castle Hotel and Spa, Dunboyne, Dunboyne, Meath

We ate in the Ivy Brasserie as we were staying in the hotel and dinner was included in the overnight package deal. We had booked dinner for 7.30pm and it was a wednesday night. For a mid week the restaurant was reasonably busy. The staff were friendly. I had pork for starter and my partner had a goats cheese salad. They were disappointing but we both had steak for mains which made up for it. However we ordered a side of veg but the waitress failed to tell us that veg was served with the main meal. I ordered a tart for dessert and was then told they had run out but i was offered the crumble from another menu which I then ordered with custard. I instead got cream on the side and i also ordered a pot of tea which I did not receive. Overall I found the meal to be disappointing.

The Quays Irish Restaurant
10-12 Temple Bar Square, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

I went here with my partner on a sunday evening. The restaurant was quiet but there were a few tables. The staff were very pleasant and served us without any delay. We ordered from the main menu from which there was a good selection of food to choose from. We shared the potato skins to start. There were four potato skins on the plate and it was enough to share between between two adults. My partner had the burger for main course which was a big portion but was delicious all the same. I had the chicken wings. They were tasty but i wouldnt order them again for a main course. We did not have dessert but we had drinks to the table which included a bottle of wine. The overall cost of the meal was reasonable and the portions we got were plentiful. I would go back there again.

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

I was in Luigi Malones on New Years eve. It was very busy but we had booked in advance and got seated relatively soon after arriving at the restaurant. The staff were very busy but we experienced no delay with ordering or getting our food. However we asked for water to the table which we did not get. Also, i ordered steak for mains and did not get a steak knife. The food was quite good, i had the chilli prawns for starter which i was not impressed with as it was swimming in oil. I had steak for mains which was cooked to perfection and i had the cheesecake for dessert which was delicious. All in all it was not bad and i will go back there again but maybe on a week night when it will be quieter.
