Absolutely no complaints... Was here on a Thursday evening at around 7pm. The place wasn't jammed but still had a good buzz to it! We all opted for the €15 for 2 Courses - I had Mozzarella Sticks to start which I got with JD Sauce rather than the Marinara followed by the Cheeseburger! Well and truly stuffed afterwards and and we got free refills on our soft drinks without having to ask, the waitress spotted we were running low and just brought them over which was great!!!

Royal Tandoori
95 Terenure Road North, South Dublin, Terenure, Dublin

Ate here with a group of 20, the food and service was great... The main courses took. A while to land but that was understandable with such a big group!!! We had a mixed platter to start and I had Chicken Tikka Masala for a main course! It's BYOB which I love and there's no corkage charge!

Crystal Boat Restaurant
Gallery Quay, Dublin 2, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

Great value for money on the pre-theatre menu although the portions are a little small! I had the Smoked Chicken to start which was delicious and Prawn Satay for a main, could have done with some more rice! I asked the waitress for more Prawn Crackers when our starters arrived however they never materialised and neither did the 2nd drink I asked for although it did show on the bill but it was removed... Ideal for before a show in the Grand Canal Dock Theatre

Great value, great food... Would prefer a menu to read rather than blackboards above the counter but otherwise can't fault it!!!

Amerta Chinese Restaurant
Clifton Avenue, Monkstown, Dublin

Great value, €12 all you can eat. Portions are smaller than average but you can order as much as you want, they almost expect you to keep ordering and check after each course if ylu want to order more. The food is good, not the best Chinese in the world but definitely better than would have expected for that price. Will definitely give it another go.

Purple Ocean Restaurant
St Michael's Pier, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Wow, Wow and Wow... This place is GREAT! I went here with my boyfriend for the €55 deal: 3 courses and a bottle of wine. I had been here before and had loved it but it had been quite expensive so I was curious to see how the quality would be afftected by the great new price but I'm glad ot say the quality was not compromised at all. We had starters of Smoked Salmon and Deep Fried Brie, nice sized portions and accompanied by delicious homemade bread, Maic courses were Fresh Salmon and Fresh Rainbow Trout, both cooked to perfection and very tasty, we both went for the Banoffi for dessert which was a great choice, just a pity there was no Death by Chocolate or similar. Coffee was also included. I expected the wine to be not the best but it was a very tasty French house white and there is the choice to substitute for any other bottle on the menu all you have to do is pay the difference. The staff were great in particular our waiter who looked after us very well. Highly recommended, full 5 stars!!!

O'Dwyers

Had lunch here on Sunday as we knew they showed the Formula1. The food was delicious, perfect hangover cure. Chicken Tenders with chips were gorgeous and a huge portion size. The mixed basket has everything you could want in it: wings, sausages, wedges, prawns, brie and probably more which I can't remember. Great place for a bit of pub grub.

TGI Friday (St Stephens Green )
St Stephens Green, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Think we had an unfortunate unlucky night here on Saturday. It started off well as we were seated almost straight away which was great for a Saturday night but it was around 10pm, the cocktails are great though so it's no hardship to wait. We ordered and everything was fine, nice table but it ws a bit bright. The starters arrived fairly promptly, hot and tasty as usual, Jack Daniels sauce is amazing! The mins arrived literally as I put my knife and fork down from my starter which wasn't nice, I like some breathing time between courses. We both had the Surf and Turf, chips and prawns were gorgeous but I had a bad steak, very fatty and surprisingly dry. I could eat very little of it and when the waitress collected the plates I showed her what my steak was like, she apologised profusely and my mains was taken off the bill which I considered a very nice good will gesture as I had eaten everything else. Dessert was a delicious Brownie with oodles of Caramel Sauce. Even though I had bad luck on my Steak I have always been happy in the past with TGI's and would still go back with no worries.

Bakers Corner
Kill Avenue, Kill O’The Grange, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

I ate here with a friend on Friday night and was disappointed compared to previous visits. The menu had changed and I found although it was quite varied there were some staple dishes missing that could have been on it. We shared a garlic bread to start which was literally 5 slices of baguette on a plate in no order or arrangement, not even a bit of garnish to brighten up the plate. My friend ordered the club sandwich which looked and tasted great, it was huge too so plenty to share, with chips. I got the Southern Fried Chicken fillet burger with chips. It looked great but the batter was quite vinegary and half way through I got a bite of fatty grizzle or something inedible but the rest was tasty enough and the service was friendly and efficient.

Kilrane Inn
Kilrane, Rosslare Harbour, Rosslare, Wexford

We ate here for the 2nd time on Saturday and were not disappointed. There was no special menu available during the high season but even without it was great value. Garlic Mushrooms to start were delicious and a good sized portion. 10oz Sirloin Steak was fantastic, cooked to perfection and it was massive. The service was great, everyone really friendly and there was no pressure after the meal to go, we were left in peace to finish off our drinks. Would highly recommend!

Fortune Restaurant
Unit 6 Woodstown Shopping Centre, Ballycullen Road, Knocklyon, Firhouse, Dublin

4 of us had a meal from here on Saturday night. Very good value for money and huge portion sizes. Food was ok, no better or worse than you'd expect from a take away. I agree with previous reviewer, we were all very bloated and felt stuffed for the whole night even though we hadn't eaten that much, just a main course with rice or chips and it wasn't even all eaten. Curry was very good as were the skewered chicken satay. Sweet and Sour was very strong and vinegary, wouldn't recommend. All the same cheap and cheerful and probably would go back just not for the Sweet and Sour. Staff all very friendly and I like the open kitchen.

TGI Friday (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

2nd visit in two weeks. I felt I had to rewrite the review as it seems they paid attention to my last one (or perhaps it was just a fluke) but the portion sizes were much improved. This time we went for the €15.00 for 2-Courses which is great value although hopefully with time they might add to the choices, only 3 or 4 choices for starter or dessert. Good options for the Mains though. Again service was great, food very tasty and now at least with the meal deals it's good value for money.

Bella Bia
1 Ivy Terrace, Tralee, Kerry

Great place, great food, great service... What a little gem of a place. The atmosphere and setting is adoreable, the food was great and very reasonable priced and the service was perfect. We both had the stuffed mushrooms to start, floolwed by Chicken Saltimboca and a Pizza, for dessert Chocolate Cake plus a bottle of wine for €65. Highly recommended.

Pagoda Chinese Restaurant
Tarbert, Tarbert, Kerry

Huge restaurant, bright lights and nobody in it on a Saturday night - not a good sign. The staff were very friendly and it was cheap enough, unfortunately the positives end here. The food was bland, the atmosphere was dead and there was a smell of bleach (at least it was clean). The starters Chicken Satay and Spare Ribs were out almost the minute we ordered them, our main courses Chicken Sweet and Sour were flavourless. The dessert was the best bit, pre-made Romantica. It's a pity the food let the place down because the staff were so friendly and effecient.

Restaurant 58 at Ballygarry House
Leebrook, Tralee, Tralee, Kerry

We were away for the weekend and staying in the otel so we decided to eat there too. The layout and decor are absolutely gorgeous, initially they tried to put us at a table in the middle of the corridor, we asked for a different one and we got a table in the bay windo with a view of the landscaped gardens, perfect! The menu was extensive with plenty of choice but I feel it was quite over-priced. We had the Prawns and Brie to start, both cooked to perfection but the portions were a bit on the small side. Mains we both had the fillet steak, again cooked to absolute perfection, couldn't have asked for better and the sides were great too, seasoned vegetables and chips. The dessert was the only let down, again pricey and small but disappointingly not very tasty, Chocolate Fondant Cake. All-in-all the food was gorgeous and I would highly recommend this place, even though it's on the pricey side. The staff were the friendliest around!!!!

Dungeon Bar & Grill
Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel, Killiney, Dublin

I was here on Valentines Day so was expecting it to be crazy busy but even though there was a nice buzz about the place everything was in control and there was no rushing us and we weren't delayed. Our table had a great view out the windo over Dublin City which was magical. Scanning over the menu everything seem reasonablly priced. My boyfriend had Mussels which he loved and the portion was very generous, he said the sauce was a bit watery though. My starter was Deep Fried Brie which came with a tangy salsa, I personally prefer a sweeter sauce with Brie but it was very tasty and ion fact they have a cranberry sauce available which I'm sure I could have had if I'd know in time. We both had the Fillet Steak for Main Course, I wouldn't have minded an extra minute or two between courses but it was fine. The steak was juicy, tender and cooked to perfoection, we also got a gfenerous portion of chips and veg each. Peppersauce and Garlic Butter also both delicious, it is quite a hot peppersauce. Dessert is where I was let down, I was looking forward to a calorific Chocolate Cake but the desserts on offer were more fruity and light. The only chocolate thing was a chocolate chip cookie which although it said homemade could have been store bought, the ice cream was very good. For a change we didn't have the house wine, we had a Chillean Sauvingnon Blanc priced at €23 which was very nice. I would definitely go back, however when reserving a table specify one at the window to make sure you get the view.

La Caverna Restaurant & Wine Bar
12 Fownes Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Had another great meal here on Saturday night. Four of us had the 3 course Early Bird and 2 bottles of wine for €30 each. All the starters were delicious Calamari, Garlic Mushrooms, Chicken Wings and a Caesar Salad after a small wait the main courses all came out together 2 Sirloin Steaks both cooked to perfection but portion of chips was very small and 2 Pizzas both very tasty. The deserts took a while to come out which was great to get a breather between courses, unfortunately one of the dessert orders had been misunderstood and so we got the wrong one and it took a good 10mins to get the replacement. I have eaten here 4 times and every time could not fault it, very highly recommended.

Rickshaw Chinese Restaurant
Kill Lane, Dublin 18, Deansgrange, Dublin

Ate here with a group of 6 for a birthday. The service and food were fantastic. All courses arrived at the same time and were all piping hot. The staff are extremely attentive but not over the top. There was no pressure to hurry up and we were given plenty of breathing time between courses. We went for the Special €23.50 for 5 courses which is exceptional value and the food the exact same portion size and quality as the A la Carte. A fantastic evening, would highly recommend.
