Loved everything about this place, staff were attentive yet not invasive, the ristafals were the best I've had outside of Indonesia, and the atmosphere was great - nice crowd yet plenty of space for a private conversation. Highly recommended!

Popped in here for a quick curry last night and was very impressed! Nice atmosphere, great, chilled Indian music playing subtly in the background, we knew the food was going to be great before we even ordered! I had a tikka masala w/pilau rice and a beer, my partner had a madras and a glass of wine, all for a great price, in comparison with other, inferior restaurants. If I was to pick a negative from the meal, it would be that the service was a little slow, but the staff were friendly and accomadted our child very well.

Lovely grub on a boat, was surprised how extensive the menu was and each of our party of 4 left happy and contented, will be back for sure!

Chai Yo
100 Lower Baggot street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Great staff, great food, great music, I love Chai Yo! Definitely worth the extra couple of euro to sit at the live teppenyaki show and be entertained by the amazing chefs.

Gorgeous food, had a lovely flat bread pizza with a bottle of house red and left with a full tummy and a smile on my face.

The Moorings
Portmagee, Waterville, Kerry

Had a lovely 2 night stay in the moorings last weekend and i must say, the food was pretty spectacular! The oysters were sublime, as were our mains of seafood risotto and the largest scallops ive ever seen! A little on the pricey side but the service was fantastic and rhe atmosphere is unrivalled round this beatiful part of the country. Highly recommended to anyone passing through or staying in Portmagee.

We had the lovely menupages deal and loved every bite! Really great service, attentive and friendly to our kids with lots of interaction and a real sense of enthusiasm about the place, will return for sure!

Chez Max (Palace Street)

Good, hearty French cuisine as it should be. Excellent service, well priced and some really fabulous wines in the menu, naturally!

Good World Chinese Restaurant
18 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Ah, good auld Good World! Still my favourite Chinese eatery in Dublin, dim sum to die for, large generous portions and the nicest salt n chili snapper this side of Shanghai!

Il Caffe di Napoli
41 Westland Row, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Had a lovely midweek team lunch here with my colleagues and we loved it! Great food with really generous portions, nice wine and some friendly, attentive service. We\'ll be back for sure.

Lovely grub, great service, a hidden gem!

Peploes Wine Bistro
16 St Stephen's Green, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin

We came here for a business lunch on a Wednesday afternoon and I was pleasantly surprised to see the place rammed at lunchtime, what recession?! The set menu was amazing, with the calamari starter a delight, the striploin main came with a loved breaded layer and skinny chips on the side, great combo with the tasty gravy! All-in-all, would highly recommend Peploes and will be back for sure!

Shanahan’s on the Green
119 St. Stephens Green, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin

Finially got to experience the famed Shanahan's last night and it lived up to it's expectation! The early bird menu is great value for what you receive, I opted for the salmon pancake starter, the mini filet main and the cheesecake starter. The sides of spinach, creamy mash and especially the onion string are to die for! Couple of nice bottles of vino add to the ambience and the service staff were amazing. The only minor grip was that the cheesecake dessert was a little on the dry side for my liking, but I was nicely stuffed by that stage so it's not something I can get too hung up on! All-in-all, a great experience, highly recommended, will be back for sure!

Roshni
4 Olivemount Terrace, Dundrum, Dublin

Lovely grub, great servive but the place was dead, through no fault of their own I guess. A hidden gem a little off the beaten track in dundrum. We were the only ones there but were made fell very welcome and the food was well above the average compared with local indians. Will be back for sure.

La Paloma
17B Asdills Row, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

We came here on Sunday night as a multi-national group of six, including 2 kids. I must say, we were pleasantly surprised with La Paloma! When there's a group of Spanish people in the corner having a great time, you know you've come to the right place for Spanish grub and the menu didn't disappoint. Great flavours, huge portions and all at a decent price. The service was good, friendly and with a smile, even some colouring for the kids! Everyone finished their meal and were too stuffed for dessert! Great spot, we'll certainly be back for sure.

Pizzicato
21 Corrig Road, Sandyford, Sandyford, Dublin

We regularly visit Pizzicato for our lunch and it's certainly a hidden gem in Sandyfod Ind. Estate. The sweet potato fries are lovely, as is the lamb sausage wrap.. in fact everything's lovely! The boss is pretty cool, and always very busy but manages services with a smile! Good wings, although bigger portions would be great! Highly recommended, nice coffees too and even some great ice-cream in the summer.

My Thai
The Beacon Hotel, Beacon Court, Dublin 18, Sandyford, Dublin

Regular lunchtime visitor to My Thai, mainly for their Japanese bento boxes, ironically! The Thai fare is pretty average, with a cracking beef salad and lamb massaman the notable exceptions. All-in-all, I'd recommend this place, although the service is a little swamped at most lunchtimes, avoid if you're looking for a quick bit, but it is generally worth the wait!

profile_review

Chrysanthemum Chinese Restaurant
Unit 1 Old Orchard Inn, Butterfield Ave, Dublin 14, Rathfarnham, Dublin

A bit lacking in atmosphere for a Friday night, but what lacked in vibe was certainly atoned for in quality of food! Nicest Chow Mein this far east of Hong Kong and the portions are very generous. Might even head back for more this evening!

Acapulco Restaurant
7 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Our very favourites Mexican joint in Dublin. Lots of spicy mains, yummy sides and tasty treats for all the family! The best Margarita in town too!

profile_review

Bear
35 South William Street, Dublin 2, South William Street, Dublin

Great food, a little unhealthy but a nice treat to cure what ails you on a Sunday afternoon! Had a mammoth t-bone steak with the million dollar fries, portions enough to feed a small nation but I wasn't complaining, service was great but it was a little quiet, perhaps due to the time of day (early Sunday evening). Would return for sure, as there's a lot of mouthwatering prospects on the menu that I wish I'd had room to try!

profile_review

Ananda
Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

Great spot, was packed to the rafters and we felt 'lucky' to get a table without a booking on a Saturday night. The food didn;t disappoint, well presented, deliciosuly flavoured, if lacking that bit of kick we like with our Indian fare, despite a request for it to be firey! You can tell the chef's know their stuff with the unique blend of ingredients and a nice assortment of regional food, but it is dumbed down a bit for Western, middle class Dundrum-frequenters! All-in-all, would definitely be back but it was a little over-priced compared to some other nice Indian places not too far from Ananda.

Mirchi
9 Townyard Lane, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

Excellent little spot, had no idea this place was here until recently, but I'll definitely be back. Ordered bhaji starter, nothing spectacular but went down well. The main was unreal, a prawn puri curry, one of the best I've ever had, while the wife was pleased with her Lamb Karahi, loaded with green chillis as requested! Be sure to stock up on booze next door as it's BYOB

profile_review

Opium
26 Wexford St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Lovely food, I'd highly recommend the Larb Moo starter and the Massaman Lamb Curry main (extra spicy), a real authentic taste of Thailand! The music was pumping throughout the night, not too loud but enough to get up and boogie if the need arises! Great cocktails too, a little on the pricey side but generous booze measurements and a nice range of craft beers, everyone was happy! Will be back for sure.

Chorus Cafe
7 Scarlet RowFishamble Streetle Bar, City Centre South, Dublin

We were here yesterday for lunch and really enjoyed it. Great food, friendly staff and excellent coffee! I find it hard to find somewhere in central Dublin as comfortable and affordable for the quality on offer here, a credit to management. We'll be back for sure!

- BlueOrchid Ballinteer - not in use
The Coach House, Ballinteer Ave , Ballinteer, Dublin

Lovely little hidden gem in the heart of Ballinteer. First time here and will be back for sure. Really friendly staff, great food with a nice mix of Thai and Japanses fare on the menu. The Teppenyaki chef looked like a great entertainer and the food looked great too, will try that next time we're back with the kids!

Les Freres Jacques
74 Dame Street, Dublin City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Great night out here with the wife and two friends. Top notch French fare at decent value. Downstairs is a little tight on space but the friendly service makes up for the lack of intimacy! Will be back for sure.

Lemon Jelly Cafe
Millennium Walkway, Jervis Street, Italian Quarter, Dublin

Had a great night here with a gang of friends. The service was great, nice house red wines were delicious with the meals, everyone was happy with their mains, and the desserts - although a little on the small side - were exquisite! Would recommend for a casual dinner date, nothing too fancy and decent value.

The Martello (Bray)
Strand Road, Bray, Wicklow

Had a lunch here yesterday and was not too impressed. The rare steak I ordered was well done and the staff were rather unattentive. The atmosphere out on the deck was quite lively, and there was a good vibe to the place. The bottled beers weren't very cold, however, which was the final straw for me, although my colleagues seemed to have no such complaints!

Shannon House
Foynes, Foynes, Limerick

We stopped in here on a fleeting visit to Foynes, and I must say, we were pleasantly surprised by how well this place is run. The staff were attentive and friendly, the food was above average standard pub grub, and the locals were friendly and lively. All-in-all, a good time was had by all, they even had colouring sheets and crayons to keep the kids occupied!

profile_review

Hamptons Grill
Henry Street, Limerick City, Limerick

A group of us booked into the excellent Savoy hotel next door and came in here for a meal, I must say, it was an excellent evening! Staff were great, food was delicious and the atmosphere was buzzing. We all left with a full belly and a smile on our faces, would highly recommend eating here to anyone.

Bellagio
92 Terenure Road North, Dublin 6W, Terenure, Dublin

Took the family here for our Mother's 60th Birthday. Had a great night, very friendly waiting staff, excellent service. Nice wine selection, decent food selection, although many of the side orders never arrived, which is the only negative we experienced on the evening. Would highly recommend the food otherwise, and the price was very reasonable.

The Gables
McCabes Wines, The Gables, 1 Torquay Road, Dublin 18 , Foxrock, Dublin

I stopped by the Gables for the first time on Monday, after a round of golf in the nearby course, and I must say, I had the most delicious fish pie I'vehad in a long time. My colleagues enjoyed their dishes, a sea bream special and a delicious-looking slow roast pork belly dish. we had a bottle of house white, which was good value and very tasty! The service was a little slack, but the staff were friendly, just not that attentive! Will definitley return with the family soon to explore the menu in further detail!

Bakers Corner
Kill Avenue, Kill O’The Grange, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

I love Bakers! The Silverside Corned Beef Sunday Roast is second to none. Was in here yesterday for a soup and sandwich with a friend and we got a great value deal, a tray of nice sambos and a piping hot bowl of soup for a fiver, not bad at all. Always a good vibe in here, especially for sporting ocasions. Best Sundaydinner in the area in my opinion, nice pints of Guinness too!

Pearl Brasserie
20 Merrion Street Upper, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Dined here on Valentines with my partner and enjoyed te evening immensely! The starters were delicious, followed by a suspenseful, to put it nicely, wait for our main course, but it was worth the wait! Friendly, efficient service and great french wine selection made the evening go smoothly, as shold be expcted for the price that was paid! The atmosphere was upbeat, full of happy couples of all ages. Overall, I'd recommend the place for a romantic evening out, we didn't get a snug but they look very cosy! Avoid if you're in a hurry, well worth waiting for if you're not!

Bijou Bistro & Wine
46/47 Highfield Road, Dublin 6, Rathgar, Dublin

Enjoyed a relaxing evening here with my other half last night, was a bit hungover so i didn't think I'd each much, but I actually ate every bite of my lovely lamb shank and even made room for ice-cream after! My partner had the fillet steak and was equally impressed. The service was adequate, but not great, as they seemed a little under-sataffed to cope with a busy Sunday evening. The atmosphere was good, nice music accompanied by a busy chattering in the background, always a sign of a resaurant doing well! The tables were a little cramped, quite tight together, which compromises some of your privacy, but all-in-all, it was an enjoyable evening and we will certainly be back, for the food alone.

The Studio Cafe

I love the breakfasts here! Nice, fresh, meat and a cup of tea, great value and friendly staff, best breakfast in the rathfarnham area by far.

The Arch Bistro
Above the Glenside Pub, Landscape Road, South Dublin, Churchtown, Dublin

Enjoyed some lovely food here with my family. Had the mushrooms on toast followed by the pork belly, both were delicious! Others had the french onion soup, Seabass, Hereford steaks and quail's eggs, not a bad word said about any of them! a few bottles of wine later we all left with a smile on our faces and no room left in our bellies, just what we had hope for, highly recommended!
