I went to this restaurant with my sister for a nice get-together and a chat. It was my first time here and I hadn't any expectations at all. I didn't anticipate how wonderful this restaurant would be.... I absolutely loved it. Its authenticity, service, atmosphere and delicious food made the evening one to remember. It was like being catapulted into Italy. All of the staff are italian and most speak only their language which really added to the overall ambiance. We were seated in the little "snug" area which is very cosy. The wallpaper beside us was made from pages of italian newspapers and looked fabulous. My sister recommended the prawns (starter), lamb (main) and tiramisu to finish and I have to say I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. We also had a glss of white wine each, a bottle of red wine between us and a digestif each.... and when the bill came, it was yet another surprising delight in the evening! I'm indebted to my sister for introducing me to this little gem among rocks... and now I'm off to book it so I can introduce it to my better half!!

This bistro/cafe has a fantastic location and is full of potential....if only the place was kept clean and tidy!! What a shame that attention to details like a clean floor etc are not considered when the food is so lovely. Found it to be a bit pricey too. Went here yesterday with my children, had a cappuccino, 2 soft drinks and 3 oatmeal biscuits: cost €17!! The potential......

Beaufield Mews Restaurant
Woodlands Avenue, Dublin 18 , Stillorgan, Dublin

I recently dined here for the first time and was bowled over by the building and interior itself. This restaurant looks fantastic.... I love the outdoor area (which is huge and incredibly beautiful on a warm September's evening). However, my husband was a little more than disappointed with his main dish which was lamb. Suffice to say that his starter (smoked duck) was more plentiful! Luckily he'd had that starter as the lamb portion certainly was not adequate, particularly when paying €26 for it. Another disappointment, but not a huge one, was the noisy service. The waiters and waitresses were very friendly and polite but.... very noisy with crockery!! One waitress in particular was so fast and noisy that I thought she was going to take the heads off our fellow diners who were elderly and easily fussed! They reminded me of canteen employees who were perhaps keen to get off their shift or had to keep to a time schedule. Overall I must admit that, despite all this, the whole experience was a good one. I loved the surroundings and in particular the restrooms are the nicest I've seen in a retaurant. Would I go back? Well....I think I like my head where it is, thanks!!
