6 of us went here for dinner all girls we had such a lovely night Staff were lovely and the food was amazing this restaurant is a hidden jem on the outside it looks nothing but inside it georgous. The only downside was there was live music a girl singing and she was a lovely singer but it was just too loud and we all wanted to chat and had to shout a bit at each other. I will definitely return as everything else was so good.

The Hen House
The Pavilions, South Dublin, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Went here on a voucher and was really looking forward to it as I had heard great things about here, but I was so disappointed. I was shown to the table and was asked had I a voucher I dint even get time to take my coat off or even put my handbag down the waiter stood there til I got it out of my bag. when my friend arrived I was asked by a different waiter if I had the voucher!! I order goats cheese as a starter and the portion was huge which is not good as its rather a heavy dish. I ordered the Burger and when it came it was well presented along with mushroom, tomato and a garlic sauce, I asked for it to come without the bread and it did however it was so greasy. The whole dish was greasy so much that I couldn't eat anything as my stomach was churning, The manager was great when i told her but the bit that caught my attention was she said the reason its served with bread is possibly to soak up the grease!! she did offer me another choice of food which I said I was ok but she kept asking, saying I don't want you to be hungry so I asked for a small plain salad with the dressing on the side when it came it was lovely but again the dressing was heavy. The staff were very pleasant and the glass of wine was lovely but I don't think I'll rush back
