Enjoyed dinner here last night. We were going to eat from the bar menu but the football was on so went into the restaurant for a bit of quiet. Skipped starters although they looked nice. I had cod wrapped in Parma ham on mash and husband had corn fed chicken on sweet corn and chorizo risotto. Both were delicious! Shared a pecan tart for dessert which could have been warmer but overall a really enjoyable meal! Would go back!

Herbstreet
Hanover Quay, Dublin 2 , Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

Visited last night for pre show dinner. We ordered the bread and dips to share to start - always more bread is needed! The waiter advised us to order quite quick as he knew we were going to a show and that the kitchen would be getting very busy. I thought this was kind! I ordered the burger which was delicious - good quality meat but the chips were disappointing as they were under cooked. I was jealous of my friends dinners - will order the chicken and chickpea salad next time. Dessert was yummy - chocolate fudge cake! All in all a good meal and will def be back!

Cinnamon Ranelagh
87 Ranelagh, South Dublin, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

Visited a few sundays ago for a nice dinner out - have been meaning to return since my last visit a year ago. Now there was nothing wrong with this place but the meal could have been so much better! Service from our waiter was very good but was the only redeeming feature. So glad we had ordered from early bird menu and not paid a la carte prices. my starter which was a ceasar salad was the best bit. Desserts very disappointing and mains were nothing to write home about! OH had ordered chicken stuffed with black pudding but could hardly taste it! Will not be back when there are so many better places to eat in Ranelagh!

RIBA Cafe Restaurant Stillorgan
4 Lower Kilmacud Road, South Dublin, Stillorgan, Dublin

We visited this new restaurant for the first time on Sunday for brunch. The place was empty but started to fill up when we left. We both ordered the full breakfast which overall was yummy. The only real disappointment was the sausages - they were very plain and basic. And the beans weren't cooked enough. Service was very friendly and we'll def be back but would probably order something else.

The Butcher Grill
92 Ranelagh Village, South Dublin, Ranelagh, Dublin

I love this place! We only go when they have the cote de boeuf offer which I think is great value and so so yummy! We always share a starter and dessert and a bottle of wine and it normally comes in at around €100. The staff are always super friendly. Can't wait to go back!

Michie Sushi Dun Laoghaire
64 Upper Georges St, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Having been to the ranelagh branch several times over the last few years I was pleased to see this restaurant pop up in this location. This is more of a restaurant - we've been once to sit down in the evening (lacking in any sort of atmosphere) and to collect take away. The reason we go back is for the quality of the sushi. Ten times better than Yo Sushi! Pleased there is now one even closer to home in Sandyford!

Little Jerusalem - Rathmines
3 Wynnefield Road, Dublin 6 , Rathmines, Dublin

Heard great things about this place so had to check it out - food was very tasty and the BYOB policy is great. I would suggest you book the second sitting though to avoid being turfed out. It's always a bit of a shame when you have to leave so book in advance! Will be back!

Gotham South
4 Kilmacud Road Lower, Stillorgan, Dublin

This is our nearest restaurant so have been many times over the last year! They do an excellent early bird menu with amazing pizzas. My favourite is the lamb burger though. Delicious every time! Never much of an atmosphere here but the service is always friendly and attentive. We keep going back as we know we'll get a good meal every time! Visited for brunch once and was fairly disappointed with portion sizes for what we paid. A winner for dinner though!

The Port House Ibericos
5/6 Pembroke Cottage, Pembroke District, Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

Visited last Saturday night - was very busy but we were seated within about 15 minutes. Service was fast and efficient. Choice of wines is excellent - could've spent the evening reading the wine list. My only complaint was the size of the tables - far too small to accommodate more than a couple tapas dishes and the table next to us was far to close. The garden space looked nice so will return when it gets warmer! Food was excellent!

Port House Pintxo
12 Eustace Street, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

Fun times to be had here with friends! Great place to eat and drink, and be merry - service was prompt and helpful and food and delicious wine went down a treat! Great atmosphere even for a sunday night - will be returning!!!

Punjabi By Nature Indian Restaurants & Takeaway
15 Ranelagh Village, South Dublin, Ranelagh, Dublin

Yummy yummy dinner last night - think I'd go back just for the peshwari nan! If only I hadn't eaten so much before, I would've been able to eat more of this! All round excellent restaurant that we took a chance on, not knowing anything about, so were really pleased. Not bad price wise either - certainly didn't break the bank!

L'Officina by Dunne & Crescenzi (Kildare)
Kildare Chic Outlet Shopping Village, Kildare, Kildare Town, Kildare

Enjoyed a relaxing lunch here last week - I had a ciabatta sandwich and OH had pasta. Both were delicious. Prices weren't too bad - maybe a little expensive for a sandwich (nearly E10) but it was tasty. It's also worth bearing in mind this is the only place to sit down and have nice lunch in Kildare village (unless you want a sandwich in a coffee shop). Last time we visited the outlet we couldn't get a table here as it was so busy so beware!

Gourmet Burger Kitchen - GBK (South William Street)
14 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Visited here last friday night - only had to wait around 5 mins for a table which wasn't too bad. Service was friendly and attentive throughout. Enjoyed our burgers and chips - 1 bowl of chips is plenty between as the burgers are so huge. Only complaint is I wish they had a bigger desert menu - although saying that I didn't have room for one anyway! Will be back for sure!

Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK South Anne Street)
5 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We visited earlier today for lunch with high expectations having been regulars at London GBK. We were seated quickly upstairs by a friendly waiter. The menu is as it was in London with a few additions. We ordered our 'usuals' - Kiwiburger and Pestorella and were not disappointed. Burgers were well cooked and huge - we didn't finish the chips (only 1 portion needed between 2). Milkshake was a bit of let down - very watery but overall had an enjoyable lunch. We will be back and are very happy to have GBK in Dublin!

Michie Sushi (Ranelagh)
11 Chelmsford Lane, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

I am so glad that menupages have recognised this take away sushi place! Although part of me wants to keep this place a secret. We have been buying sushi from here for over a year now and its perfect every time! We usually order a party set for E30 and a few hand rolls which is more than enough for 2 hungry/greedy people. It's in a strange little road in Ranelagh but worth the trip - shame he doesn't deliver to Dundrum as I think this would be a weekly treat otherwise!

The Counter Dundrum
Pembroke District, (adjacent to the Mill Pond at Town Square), Dundrum, Dublin

This was the 2nd time I have visited - I was giving it another chance after we were disappointed first time round. (We had put this down to the fact they had just opened). Now I will never be going back. Burger was cremated again! Fries were ok but delivered at the wrong time. Incorrect fillings on burger. Shall I go on? Oh yeah it was freezing in there - we had to keep our coats on! After complaining, manager took fries off our bill but standard of food was still not acceptable. There are so many better places to eat a burger if you're in Dundrum!

Harrys Cafe Bar
21 Upper George's Street, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Enjoyed our brunch here yesterday. We were lucky not to have to wait for a table as the turnover seemed to be quite fast. All of us enjoyed our food - I had potato rosti with poached egg and OH had pancakes with maple syrup and bacon! Both were yummy! Will def be back when we are next in Dun Lagohaire.

Brasserie Sixty6
66/67 Great South Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Really enjoyed our dinner here a few weeks ago! Shared the houmous to start and had the rotisserie chicken for my main. Very tasty!! A bit disappointed with one of the waitresses who was quite rude and it was very very hot in there - so much so that we couldn't bear to stay for dessert. Would probably go back - especially to try the cocktail list!

Nandos (Dundrum)
Sandyford Road, Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

Had a good value dinner here last week. Service was friendly and fast and the food was delicious. Would recommend as we really enjoyed it.

Sika Restaurant
Powerscourt Hotel Restaurant & Spa, Powerscourt, Wicklow

Enjoyed our visit here yesterday and chose the lunch set menu which is E40 for 3 courses including tea/coffee. We thought this was very good value although there was not much to choose from ( 1 meat, 1 fish and 1 veg choice for each course). No complaints about portion sizes, in fact they were larger than I would've imagined. Staff were very attentive as expected. We really enjoyed every course and would like to think we would be back to try the a la carte menu (perhaps when someone else is paying!) Bill came to about E165 for 3 of us, including 2 Bellinis at nearly 20 euros each, and bottle of water.

Dunne And Crescenzi (South Frederick Street)
14-16 South Frederick Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Had a nice meal here this week - managed to get a large table for our party without any wait and they were so understanding that we were taking our time with orders etc. Crostini were so delicious I could have just ordered them for my main course. Waitress wasn't great about describing the specials, so was slightly surprised with what arrived - delicious all the same. Great wine list. Desserts looked great although I wasn't tempted.

Mao Restaurant (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

Enjoyed our dinner here, and even though it was a saturday night we didn't have to wait too long for a table. We sat upstairs and were well looked after by our waiter. Ordered the spring rolls which were so delicious I'd go back just for them. Both of us enjoyed our main meals and they had a good special offer on house wine which was under E20! Overall a really good meal!

L'Officina by Dunne And Crescenzi (Dundrum)
Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

Had an enjoyable meal here with friends a couple of weeks ago on a thursday night. Place was full so they took our number whilst we went for a drink and they gave us a call when our table was ready. We were sat at the table by the window which seemed to be the best as we weren't surrounded by everyone else (all other tables seemed very close together). We shared some starters which were delicious. I had the prawn risotto which was great - full of flavour! House white wine was very reasonable too! All of us enjoyed our meals and will def be back!

Carluccio's Caffe
52 Dawson Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Having eaten at many Carluccios in London, I was pleased to see this branch open in Dublin last weekend so went for dinner last night. You will always have to queue for a table as they don't take reservations but I think its worth it - many people gave up waiting so our wait wasn't so long in the end. We shared a bread tin to start, and then ordered my favourite Penne Giardiniera for my main - huge portion and delicious as usual. Then ordered the chocolate bread and butter pudding to share for dessert. What came was not bread and butter pudding but instead a light sponge pudding - after asking the waiter if we had been given the correct pudding he said that was just how they served it - there was no bread or butter in sight! We thought that it was slightly strange but all the waiting staff seemed rather new and inexperienced and (even told us that) so we didn't make a fuss. Anyway we ate it as it looked nice and it was! Such good value too (1 starter, 3 mains, 1 dessert and 3 glasses of wine E63)- will def be back!!!

YO Sushi (Dundrum)
Level 1, Unit 26A, Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

Have eaten here many times and have learnt that it's worth checking to make sure there is quite a lot of dishes going around the belt otherwise you won't get alot of choice. Never had a bad meal here but find that it ends up costing quite alot to fill us up (over E50) and therefore it's not great value in my opinion. Great way to try sushi for the 1st time - found its a good way to introduce it to sushi virgins. Shame they don't do the hot food and that they never participate in the offers they regularly have running in England.

Milano (Dundrum)
Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

You know what you're going to get with Milanos so no surprises here. They've introduced the system of putting your name down if they are really busy which is great as you can have a wander around the shops and then pop back. We only had to wait 15mins for our table and were seated upstairs which was half empty when we got there. Food was great as usual last time we went although we thought our waiter could have been more attentive - often forgot things and was running around do much that he made us tired! Great pit stop before the cinema!

First Floor Bar & Brasserie @ Harvey Nichols
Dundrum Town Centre, Sandyford Road, Dundrum, Dublin

Brunch at the Ground Floor Cafe is a must! Service I have to say was a little slow - had almost finished our drinks before our food was served and it wasn't overly busy either. But then we really enjoyed our food - I had the Eggs Benedict and my husband had the Breakfast kebab, both delicious. Nice touch that you can then go to the food shop and buy the ingredients - sausages really were yummy. Also have paid the First Floor bar a visit and had some amazing cocktails!

Gotham Cafe
8 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Loved this place - pizza with duck and hoi sin duck was lovely as was the greek salad. Waitress was very friendly and attentive even though we were sat outside. Prices were not bad either considering this restaurants location. Worth keeping their telephone number in your phone to book ahead as I have often tried to go back but can't ever seem to get a table. So hope to go back very soon!

Jo'Burger
137 Rathmines Road, Dublin 6 , South Dublin, Rathmines, Dublin

Ate here last week for a friends birthday and they managed to seat 12 of us on one table which was great. Both food and service was fantastic - can't complain about either in any way! Organic lamb burger was so delicious as were the sweet potato chips! Def worth a visit - just a shame you can't book!
