We took advantage of the Saturday Night Salsa Deal. The restaurant wasn't busy, but that was probably due to the early hour we visited. Food and service was excellent. Would recommend and make a return visit.

I made a return visit with my wife tonight based on an excellent experience in January. Sadly tonight we left disappointed. We order the Pre Theatre Menu and for the main course ordered the prime eye steak and the Sirlion Steak. We asked for both to be done medium to well done. My eye steak came out well done and my wifes sirlion was red. When I called the waitress over regarding the sirlion I was told it was as ordered. I had to enter into a discussion about the difference in the steaks and that they couldnt be done as ordered if they were differerent. What was meant to be an anniversary meal was distracted from. It will be a long time before I think we think of a third vist

Vermilion
94-96 Terenure Road, Dublin 6 , Terenure, Dublin

I ate her with my wife and baby last week having bought a menupages deal. We found the staff very friendly and they had a hight chair ready for us having advised them of the need over the phone. We had the a la carte menu and found the food was very good quality with there being enough for us to leave the restaurant full. My only misgiving is the price they charge for the main dish. €18 for a bowl of meat in a sauce is on the high side with everything else as an extra. Only for the voucher we would not have used this menu. Alternatively they have an early bird which looks exceptional value. Overall it was a good dining experience and we would return again but for the early bird.

Geisha Asian Restaurant (Ashtown)
73-74 Ashtown Village, Dublin 15, Ashtown, Dublin

I had lunch here with my wife and young. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived with just 6 people being served. We found the service slow and the gap between the starter and main course was in my opinion too long. We had the 3 course lunch for €14.95. The starter was dissapointing but the main course made up fpr it. We also had desert which at €5.50 was overpriced and the usual frozen fare you can get anywhere, An Asian desert would have been nice and complemented the meal. Though the staff were attentive and looked after us, We were never asked how we were getting on or if the food was okay. It was suprising and dissapointing that they didnt seen to care if we were enjooying our meal. Overall, we would think twice about going back.

Cafe Seven
7 St. Andrew's Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Had the pre theatre menu tonight with my wife. The food was exceptional quality and service was excellent. The only downside was a birthday party which made it very busy. The tables fo 2 were also a bit of a squeeze. It definitely deserves a return visit on a quieter night.

We found the food to be of good quality and without the usual fillers which was a pleasant experience. The service was good and everything was reasonably priced.

Dinty's Bar
Union Hall Leap, Skibbereen, Cork

We ate twice within 3 days and would not have thought what was an amazing first visit could have been so totally disappointing on our return. The first night the restaurant was full and we had the baked hake which was delicious and a pizza Our return 2 days later to a relatively empty restaurant provided us with soggy batter on the guinness battered cod, burnt plaice ( though we did get 2 huge fillets) and a tagliatelle carbonara in place of a salmon and spinach tagliatelle. On the plus side, portions were huge and when we complained the manager responded quickly with a apology and a hefty discount. If they can keep the consistency in what is served this could well be a haven for those wanting good value

We ate here several times over the weekend taking advantage of the early bird menu. The food was very high quality and the service excellent. Even when we wanted to change our choice and take something off the main menu the staff facilitated us with Early Bird prices plus the difference in the courses.

Pifko Bar and Grill
41-43 Usher's Quay, City Centre South, Dublin

I ate in Pifko on Saturday for lunch. The menu was good but pricey. For mains you only get the meat dish with the veg being charged for as an extra. Paid €10.90 for pork on plum sauce which wasn't value when compared with other restaurants. However, they do good deals during the week for both lunch and evening meals. It's a pity they don't extend them to the weekend.
