having eaten here many times after a days shopping in the pavillions with the family must comment on carvery. food excellent-beef would melt in your mouth and potatoes which are incredible soft. Everything is piping hot and queues for carvery move fast. Recommend here for both families or just to grab a bite after a hard days shopping. Excellent value for money

The Upper Deck duplicate
Harbour Road, Above the Waterside Pub, Howth, Dublin

Its years since we ate here so decided to revisit while out in Howth. Menu hasn,t changed-much to our delight. Still as delicious as ever. Quesadillas for starters(yummy) and Macho Nachos for mains. 1st time in a long while we couldnt finish dinner as portions were huge. Waitress was pleasant and service was quick. Looking forward to visiting again but won,t be leaving it too long next time....

Tango Chinese Restaurant
Rathmullen Rd, Drogheda, Louth

After dining there on St Patricks Day and having no complaints we decided to celebrate a family Confirmation there. Oh what a terrible mistake. We spoke to the manager on our first visit who showed us a suitable table for our party of 13 which we were very happy with. On the day itself we were seated at a VERY cramped table on the opposite side of restaurant. After 15 minutes we had to ask for a wine menu. 30 minutes to take our wine order(they were not ready to take our dinner order as they were too busy with another table-who I might add came in well after us!) We asked twice for a drink for the children and also a jug of water- which didnt arrive. After 50 mins of being completely ignored I asked to speak to the manager. He promptly went into the kitchen to find out what was happening and disappeared for another 10 minutes. When I asked two more waiters where he was he reappeared to say food was on its way. needless to say I informed him we were not willing to stay any longer-kids and adults alike were cheesed off/hungry and very disappointed that our daughters big day had been spoiled. We got numerous apologies from the manager and an offer to return for a free meal but dont think we'll be returning any time soon! The evening was saved by going to a Chinese Restaurant in Drogheda Town. Oh what a difference. Prompt and pleasant service and delicious food. In a way Tangos did us a favour as a great night was had by all and it was certainly a day to remember!

Hugo's Restaurant at Druids Glen Resort
Druids Glen Resort, Newtownmountkennedy, Wicklow

Ate there both nights of a 2 night stay in hotel. 1st night was part of package deal. Menu wasnt very varied just adaquate. Husband ordered steak which was perfectly cooked. It came with chips which were the nicest I've ever tasted & I'm not a lover of chips! I ordered pasta with veg - it was nice. Desserts were very sweet. Menu 2nd night was slightly better. Great if you like fish! Again food was cooked to perfection. Portion size were just right. We left feeling just full enough but not too full. Staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. Be aware that water is offered with meal but if you dont stress that you want a jug of water they bring bottled-which is very expensive. Bill for 2nd night came to €100 but that included a lovely bottle of wine. Overall very pleasant meals were had and would recommend Druids for something special

Castellina Chianti
George's Hill, Balbriggan, Dublin

Dined as a party of 10 on a busy Friday Night. The staff were very attentive without being overbearing. Menu had changed since the last time I visited but was suprised at how it had improved, although it was always nice! Portions were big and food was delicious. Great value for money, averaged €40 each(including several bottles of wine and tip). Cant wait until next visit and would certaintly recommend here for either a romantic meal for 2 or large group.

Regardless if its a week night or a busy weekend lunch/evening meal the service is always impecable. staff can't do enough for you. Food is always warm, fresh and very tasty. Have eaten here with a crowd and also romantic meal for 2. Would highly recommend Chans for any occasion.
