Really liked this Milano's. I love Milano's food anyway but I love the setting of this restaurant. It's particularly nice on a sunny day when you can have a table outside, at the canal. The staff were great and, as usual the food was delish!!

Myself and my partner had dinner at the Milano's at Grand Canal last week. We are both big fans of Milano's food and, as always the food was lovely. I had the pollo pesto and my boyfriend had one of the Romano Pizza's. Unfortunately, the service let down the restaurant. We had a long wait for our food and the waitress was unpleasant. Then after asking for our bill, we waited for at least ten minutes for the bill to arrive. Then, it was the wrong tables bill. We walked over to the till, as we could not get a waitresses attention. We stood at the till while one waitress shouted at another for giving us the wrong bill. We were extremely embarrassed and left the money at the till and walked out. We love Milano's food but they really need to take a look at their staff.

Captain America's Cookhouse And Bar
44 Grafton Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I used to always go to Captain Americas but it had been a while since my last visit. They often have two for one vouchers in the paper, and with this it is good value. If I didnt have the vouchers I'd probably choose elsewhere. I have heard not so good reviews about the burgers so opted for the fish - the portions are so so big, and quite tasty. There is always a great atmosphere in Captain Americas too. Nice cocktails also!

Eddie Rockets (Baggot Street)
33 Upper Baggot Street, Dublin 2, Baggot Street, Dublin

Really love Eddie Rockets new menu. Theres a lot more of a choice and seems to be a little cheaper too. A little disappointed that theres no garlic mushrooms on the new menu-but I will get over it! I love the new smokestack burger. The service is always excellent too.

Rickshaw Chinese Restaurant
Kill Lane, Dublin 18, Deansgrange, Dublin

I really like this chinese and I find it hard to find a good chinese lately. It is a little bit far for me as I live in the city centre. I found the restaurant really nice and spacious and the staff friendly-they gave us a few glasses of wine on the house at the end of the meal, which is always a plus. I had the chicken with cashewnuts -I love the way they serve it in the eddable basket-very few places do that anymore. The restauarant seemed busy enough for midweek. I have heard a lot of people from the area talk about this restaurant as of late.

Rotana Cafe Restaurant
31 South Richmond Street, Dublin 2, Portobello, Dublin

A group of us ate here for a friends birthday. I love the place-great ambiance n the staff are really pleasant n chatty. 3€ corkage is a nice attraction (recession and all that). The portions are so so big. I think next time I'd choose one of the vegetarian dishes though as I just found the meat a bit fatty. Overall though, cheap, lovely place, great staff and some ok food.

Salamanca
1 St Andrews Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I visited Salamanca restaurant last week with a friend. We choose the early bird tapas menu for 2. Its great value and brilliant that it's available on a Friday too. The menu for 2 is 30.95 and this is for 6 tapas bowls, also inclusive of bread. Absolutely loved the prawns wrapped in smoked salmon. We were really full after and we found that they had a great selection on the meal for 2. Great atmosphere there too-we really enjoyed it.

FIRE Restaurant and Lounge
Mansion House, Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

We visited Fire recently, as a real treat. It was very tasty and the atmosphere was great. It was quite expensive-in fairness I did get the steak, which was delicious. I heard that they also have a pre theatre menu which seems like great value. The place was very busy and the staff were completely in control. Food was great - I will be back-for the pre theatre next time I think.

Saba
26-28 Clarendon Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

My new favourite restaurant!! I went here with my family for my brothers birthday. My parents were coming up from Wexford so we wanted somewhere nice. We had heard great reviews about Saba, and it did not dissappoint! The food was georgeous, great value and the staff were so helpful. They made us a platter for 4 for starters, that was not on the menu-we just told them what we liked, really enjoyed it.
