Marco Pierre White Courtyard Bar & Grill
1 Belmont Ave, Dublin 4, Donnybrook, Dublin
Consistently good experience every time. Have been there with\"the girls\", on \"date night\" and just \"with friends \". Steaks cooked to order. Particularly like the nights there is live unobtrusive music. Great outdoor area for those who smoke. Always enjoy.
Chapter One Restaurant
18/19 Parnell Square, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin
We had been waiting a year for a table so I was very much anticipating our first visit to Chapter One. We had to go midweek in the end as it proved impossible to get a saturday night. The restaurant was full and the atmosphere was welcoming on a very wet night. The food was excellent, divine flavours and good wines by the glass. We had foie gras, duck sausage, chicken and veal. The desert menu was not inspirational compared to some but the banana pie with rum and raisin ice-cream was delicious and I could not finish it! There was one BIG disappointment though - my sister has pre-paid for a bottle of champagne to be served to us upon arrival and they "forgot". This has soured my whole impression unfortunately as this level of "forgetfullnes" is not acceptable to me in a restaurant such as Chapter One. My sister received a full refund, I received a phone message from the manager for me to call him back. Simply not enough in my opinion to redeem. I wont be rushing back - attention to detail is everything and after such a long wait for the experience - they failed us unfortunately.
Seagrass of Portobello Bridge
30 South Richmond Street, Dublin 8, Portobello, Dublin
Oh my goodness - i am so excited about this new find! This restaurant just opened last week and 6 of us tried it for brunch today - the hardest thing was deciding what to have - honestly the menu is FANTASTIC - full irish breakfasts (2 of the lads had that), handmade burger with caramelised onions, melted cheese, mushrooms, tomoato, fried egg (thats what I had - delicious flavours), salmon and cod fishcakes that simply melted in the mouth (tasted husbands). It is so hard to find somewhere on Sunday to get a really great brunch and now there is somewhere to finaly go. I cant comment on the dinner menu yet but I will come back online to report when we have tried it in a few weeks time. I nearly forgot to add that they sell great fresh juices too.

We loved Maia. Myself and three girlfriends ate there last night for the first time. There was a great atmosphere and we all really liked the decor. The menu is very well priced and there is definitely something for everyone. We had burger, hake and two sea bass - all were cooked to our requirements and we all loved the food. We followed it with heavenly chocolate ice cream and delicious baileys/vanilla creme brulee. We didnt have wine but we did try the cosmopolitans which were first class. Great place, good food, lovely staff. We really did enjoy Maia and would highly recommend it. The menu is so well priced. To get such a choice of main courses under 20 euro is a rare find these days and a welcome one.

This place has such a great buzz - a real mix of customers. The manager is really great fun - paddy I think? Really lovely food - asparagus to start is superb. Great for a night out with girlfriends. Toilets really nice and clean. Good food, good value - a real hit.

Chatham Street, City Centre South, Dublin
Great fish and chips - chips served in newspaper! Nice buzz in the place. Noticed they had a children’s menu so good place to go if shopping in town - makes a change from the usual places you can bring kids. They seemed a little understaffed but service was attentive nonetheless. Will definitely return - great little spot.
Fallon and Byrne
11-17 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Why such bad ratings? Ate here a few weeks ago. I really liked the atmosphere and the food - didn’t feel it was overpriced but we didn’t go for the top end of the menu perhaps. Excellent house wine.

The home made ice cream and sorbets at Il Posto are not to be missed when you go. The best Italian ice cream outside of Italy that I have ever tasted - congrats to the Chef ! The varied menu has never failed to disappoint whether I go with girlfriends midweek or my husband at the weekend - it's one of my favourite D2 restaurants - there is always a buzz about the place. Highly recommend.
