We eat here regularly, we love the food and the staff. This time, due to the closeness of Christmas it was very noisy with parties and groups, too loud and we were placed upstairs, in the middle of a party. That is my only complaint though, the food was excellent, they had a Christmas three-course menu for €36.95 which was great value. Usually they do a special three-course menu for under €25 but given the time of year the Christmas menu was reasonable. The service was excellent as always despite the busy parties. Will definitely continue to go back.

Toscana City Centre
3 Cork Hill, Dame Street (opposite Dublin Castle), Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

Myself and my boyfriend had a lovely meal here last night before a gig at Vicar Street. We didn\'t have a booking but were lucky enough to get a table for 2 straight away - it\'s a small restaurant and filled up super fast so I\'ll definitely book next time! The service was brilliant, all the staff were so friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely gorgeous, we were in a bit of a rush so skipped starters but we both agreed we\'ll return for the full 3 courses! \nMy boyfriend had the fillet steak and couldn\'t stop raving about it. I had the pizza and it was seriously good, we were in Rome last year and it was so authentic it was like being back there! I love small, cosy restaurants and the atmosphere was lovely. I can\'t wait to return here for a less rushed meal!

The Washerwoman
60 Glasnevin Hill, Glasnevin, Dublin

Had a gorgeous meal here last night, we live locally but it was our first time eating here and won\'t be our last. The staff are so friendly and helpful, it\'s a really casual and homely atmosphere. \n\nFor starters I had the Caesar Salad which was lovely, I asked for it without anchovies. My boyfriend had the Whipped Salmon, I robbed a bite and was so impressed I think I\'ll have it the next time we visit! I had the burger for my main course, and like the Starter it was huge! I couldn\'t finish it, it was so big, but I wish I could have. Huge portion of chips too! My boyfriend had the steak (rump) which was done just as he\'d asked and tasted great! The steak comes with two sides included in the price so it\'s actually really good value. \n\nFor dessert (there\'s always a little room for dessert) we both had the Sticky Toffee Pudding and it was divine! The salted caramel ice cream was to die for! I could have eaten a bowl of that on it\'s own. There\'s also a recommended dessert wine for each item on the menu and adding a glass only cost an extra €1.50! I\'m still thinking about that dessert wine - I\'d really recommend getting a dessert wine! \n\nThe bill wasn\'t as much as I expected, although it is a little on the expensive side, considering we\'d both had three courses and split a bottle of wine it wasn\'t outrageous. We\'ll definitely eat here again!

Zucchini's Restaurant
18-20 Blackcastle Square, Navan, Meath

We had a lovely meal here last night for a birthday and as we were there before 7pm we were able to avail of the early bird menu which is amazing value! Just under €22 for 2 courses and just over €25 for 3 courses (if I\'m not mistaken). Two of us went for Mains and Dessert, while one went for Starter and Main. He raved about the warm black pudding salad so if you\'re a fan, give that a go! We all had the burger which was gorgeous, very filling with lovely chips on the side. The 4th person went for a seafood bake which she said was great, again a decent portion size! For desserts, one tried the special cheesecake of the day which was Oreo and White Chocolate - gorgeous but served in a glass so not traditional cheesecake but very well received. I had the sticky toffee pudding which was easily the best one I\'ve ever had, I promise you! The third person had the pavlova which also went down a treat, a large portion but light. \n\nThe only negative we had, and I really hate to even say it because the staff were so lovely and genuinely helpful, was a bit of a long wait for drinks - a Guinness and Lager ordered at the same time as the desserts didn\'t even arrive until everybody had finished the desserts, a little disappointing but the only issue we had all night (and it\'s a very minor one at that!) \n\nI\'d definitely return here, great food, lovely staff and pleasant atmosphere and I\'d really recommend it to everyone!

Round O Bar
Flower Hill, Navan, Navan, Meath

We eat here regularly, I love the food and have never left unhappy with a meal. I usually get the lasagne, which is gorgeous and comes with chips, side salad and garlic bread! All of their dishes are large so you won't be leaving hungry. My boyfriend insists this is the best burger he's ever eaten - and he's eaten a lot! I've never heard a complaint about any of the dishes and the prices are very reasonable - they do a great early bird menu. I've been coming to this pub since I was young and I love their new dining atmosphere, I'd really recommend a visit for anyone in Navan. The staff are always pleasant and friendly, too!

The Arlington Bar @ The Arlington Hotel
23-25 Bachelors Walk, O'Connell Bridge, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

We ate here before going to see Robbie Williams in the Aviva on June 17th, we had never eaten here before but it's a great location right on the quays at O Connell Bridge so not far to the DART station. We both had the burger, which was quite overpriced and although it was nice it wasn't worth €13.95 (to add cheese and bacon was an extra €1.50). We only had the burgers and two drinks each (Coors Light & Vodka and Diet Coke) and our bill was over €60. We were actually really surprised by this, the food was nice and the atmosphere was lovely on a sunny day on the terrace but I couldn't justify spending over €60 for how little we had. The service was quick and the staff were pleasant but the price is really off-putting considering you can get the same for half the price within 5-10 minutes walk.

Wallace's Taverna
24 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1, City Centre, Italian Quarter, Dublin

We ate here at the weekend before going to a gig in the 3 Arena, it was early enough - around 5pm and town was really busy but we got a table without waiting more than 5 minutes. I have to say that service was really slow, despite the restaurant not being full, we were waiting a while to give our orders and get drinks but the food came really quickly. We were waiting a good while to get the bill as well. The food itself, we both had pizza, was really lovely and authentic Italian so we would definitely go back for the food for a full evening meal. It was reasonably priced as well, considering it's location right along the quays in the centre of town.

Eddie Rockets (Santry)
The Omni Shopping Centre, North Dublin, Santry, Dublin

This is my favourite Eddie Rockets branch by miles. All branches seem to be pretty busy but this is one that moves quickly, we've never been queuing long, they have a lot of two-seater booths so perfect for couples. The staff are lovely and really friendly, very attentive. Once you're seated you're never left waiting for a waiter/waitress to take your order. They're helpful and the food is always cooked and presented perfectly. They're definitely the most accommodating branch with requirements and extra portions. It's always pretty busy as I said but it's never too loud to have a conversation. Love visiting this branch, I visit a lot too!

Eddie Rockets (Blanchardstown)
Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, West Dublin, Blanchardstown, Dublin

I love Eddie Rockets but usually don't eat here, we stopped in here for the first time a couple of months back and although the food was lovely the restaurant was simply too busy to accommodate everyone efficiently. There is ALWAYS a queue right out the door on a Sunday (I don't know about other days) and inside is so busy with kids and families that the noise levels are just too much. Because of this, and I totally understand it by the way, the service is slower than other branches. You wouldn't want to be in a rush to get somewhere else, you'll be waiting a while here. Food is definitely worth it and was cooked to perfection as usual but you need to have the time to wait.

Aussie BBQ
5 South Richmond Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Visited on my lunch break, although it was busy and space was somewhat limited we were seated quick enough and our orders taken promptly. Food was served fast and tasted delicious! The Queensland burger was amazing, so well done and the chips were gorgeous. Very filling, I had no room for dessert and super cheap. Will definitely visit again!

Joels Restaurant
Newlands Cross, Naas Road, West Dublin, Clondalkin, Dublin

I've eaten here a few times in the last couple of years and have never really been impressed but there seems to have been a massive turnaround! The place was packed as usual, not just because it was mother's day and although we had booked a table we were waiting around half an hour. The staff were consistently attentive and helpful, couldn't praise them enough! I had a caesar salad to start, which was nice but didn't taste the freshest - would eat again though as it was good. I chose lasagne for my main with a side of chips, HUGE portion, not a hope of me finishing it all. It was cooked extremely well, very hot on arrival. Would really recommend if you like lasagne. Finished off with a brownie which was simply delicious, just a pity I was so full from the large portions but that's not a bad complaint - great value! I was really pleased with the quality of food and service here after not being too keen on my last couple of visits. Location is a little awkward but fine if you have a car. Very family oriented restaurant, lots of kids always around which does make for a loud atmosphere but as it's quite a large venue this isn't a real issue.

The Porterhouse (North )
Cross Guns Bridge, Glasnevin, Dublin

The Porterhouse is a perfect place to go on a night out, the drinks are spectacular - the best cocktails I've ever had! The food is lovely, typical pub-grub but if you want to have something small to eat in the place you'll be spending the night you can't complain. Not a huge menu but the food is lovely, large portions and cooked exactly right. The service is quick and unlike the other Porterhouse locations there are plenty of tables to choose from - it's a huge space. I haven't eaten here too often but when I do it's great and definitely keeps me fuelled for more drinking!

The Tolka House
Glasnevin, Glasnevin, Dublin

I've eaten/drank here hundreds of times, it's my local so it's handy to get to. The food is reasonable, on Sundays it's the carvery so you go up choose the food and move along a queue - it's fresh, constantly replenished (unlike some carveries) and is a really affordable Sunday dinner. The off the menu food is even better, lovely pizza and meat dishes. Nothing extravagant, just your typical pub grub but if you're visiting the Botanic Gardens I'd suggest coming around the corner to this pub for your food, much more affordable!

La Cucina Navan
10A Trimgate St, Navan, Meath

I was actually here last April but had to do a review because this is one of the nicest restaurants I've been to. Had a family dinner here with my Dad for my 21st Birthday and it couldn't have been a better choice. It's a tiny little space but so perfect for a quiet meal and the food is perfect. All 5 of us loved our meal and we would all go back in a heartbeat if we had to choose somewhere to eat in Navan. The service was excellent, I even got surprised with a free dessert and Happy Birthday serenade! They made sure all in the restaurant were enjoying their meals and had everything they needed. We weren't waiting long on the food but it was cooked to perfection! Love this little place, couldn't recommend it enough to anyone in Navan! Just wish I lived closer!

Thunder Road Cafe
Fleet Street, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

Thunder Road is a brilliant place to start your night out - I've eaten here a couple of times to fill the stomach before heading off drinking and I've never been disappointed. The atmosphere is second to none, the heavy music and lively bar area keep it fun and exciting - not necessarily a good choice if you want to talk but it is quieter early in the evening. The starters are great, a little on the large side but if you share they're just right. The burgers are delicious and generously portioned. Great atmosphere!

TGI Friday (Temple Bar)
19/20 Fleet St, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

I love TGI in Temple Bar, the food is always great and really affordable. I've eaten here a couple of times with friends and my boyfriend for a casual start to a night out in town - selected cocktails are only €5! The service in this branch is always brilliant, you're never left waiting long for a seat and your glass never goes empty! The starters are perfect for sharing with friends, platters of chicken/bruschetta are always ordered. The burgers are HUGE, they are a little expensive (roughly €12 each) but considering the size and quality it's fine. The dessert selection is my favourite! Do not leave without trying one (and the Jack Daniels sauce, that's a MUST!)

TGI Friday (St Stephens Green )
St Stephens Green, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I am a regular in TGI Temple Bar but ventured to Stephen's Green before Christmas for an early evening meal with a friend. Unfortunately, the place was hectic, understandable given the time of year but it took a while before we were seated and even longer to be served. I understand that the restaurant was busy but there was a considerable delay while we waited on the food and it was difficult to catch the attention of a waitress all evening. The food was still delicious and good value, portions are large and always piping hot. I enjoyed my meal but found the additional waiting time for service irritating so will be choosing Temple Bar in future.

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

I ate here for the first time on Valentine's night after hearing some great things from friends. I loved it! It is quite a tightly-packed restaurant, many tables sitting close together, but I suspect this wouldn't be an issue on an ordinary weekend. We were seated almost immediately, we had booked in advance but to have the table free on time was pretty unexpected. I will say that we were seated right beside the kitchen/bar area which was loud and busy - but didn't ruin the meal! We were lucky enough to avail of a special menu (3 courses for €30) and they were all perfect. We had the Caesar Salad to start, it was perfect. I had a pizza, which was actually one of the best I've ever tasted, large and doughy. My boyfriend had a steak which he says was perfect, done exactly as he had requested. We both had a toblerone cheesecake to finish and it was surprisingly light and creamy - perfect after having such a heavy meal. The location is ideal, right off Dame Street/Temple Bar you can get any number of buses and be a minutes walk away. We are actually going back this weekend!

Milano (Blanchardstown)
Blanchardstown Centre, Dublin 15, Blanchardstown, Dublin

I love Milano, the food is amazing - definitely some of the best pizzas around and the value is hard to beat. There isn't too great a menu selection for fussy eaters like myself, aside from pizza toppings of course, a couple of starters and desserts to choose from. But as this is a very family-friendly restaurant you can't go far wrong with pizza. The service is brilliant, lots of staff always walking around so you don't have to wait long for another drink. I love the layout of these restaurants (also dined in Killarney). The only issue I ever have with these restaurants is the fact that it's almost always noisy, so if you want a quiet meal go later in the evening. They really cater for families, they have colours on each table for kids, so this would be a nice affordable meal if you have a few children.

Il Corvo Restaurant
98-100 Upper Drumcondra Road, Dublin 9 , Drumcondra, Dublin

I absolutely love this restaurant. Been here many times - always my first choice! Firstly, the staff are so pleasant and couldn't be more helpful. The food is delicious, I've never had a bad meal here - try the pizza, it's perfect! Their steak is one of my boyfriend's favourites, and he's had steak all over the world! It can be a little pricey, depending on your order, but worth every penny without a doubt. Usually a three course meal for two costs us around €70 so definitely not overly expensive. The atmosphere is always lovely, soft music playing constantly and always a fair few tables occupied but never overly noisy. Such a perfect place for a romantic meal.
