went here for a birthday celebration with 5 friends. The food was delicious, much much nicer that i expected and the service was great too. the only issue really was the atmosphere. were were the only people in the restaurant. It was a wednesday night so maybe that was the reason. It was a little pricey too, but over all would definitely recommend ths place, we had a great night!

The Pigeon House - Clontarf
11b Vernon Avenue, Clontarf, Dublin

Service was fantastic. Really friendly and helful staff. the Brunch menu is small, but the food is so good. We sat on the outdoor terrace area which is sunny and well maintained, with blankets in case you are feeling the cold. can't think of a better place to sit, eat and read the papers!

Gotham Cafe
8 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Im a big fan of this place and come here quite a lot. it has lovely seats which get the sun all day. I visited here on Saturday for lunch, and got a lovely outside seat. the wait staff were really attentive and asked if we were happy or wanted the awnings closed etc. We ordered a pizza and a vegetarian cob salad with half a bottle of wine. All of the food was delicious. It was only after we had eaten that we realised that my salad has no avocaodo and the pizza was missing mozzerella and olives. We wondering if we had got someone elses order! none the less the food was delicious.

Rustic Stone
South George's Street, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

Best place ive been to for a long time! myself and my husband visited last Saturday night, and ive so many good things to say about the place im not sure where to start. The menu is fantastic, there is definitely something for everyone.(low fat, vegetarian, gluten free – you name it!) There is no pressure to order the conventional 3 course meal, our waiter encouraged us to feel free to share, and gave is some great suggestions for food and wine. We opted for some ‘bites ’ breads and dips which were light and fresh, a shared starter – delicious quail ,some ‘on the stone’ for our mains (this is explained on the menu, it’s a great idea)and some shared truffle chips. The food was delicious, unfussy, and fresh. The service was excellent, attentive without being over the top. The wine list was great, with all range of price options. In total our bill came to under 100 euro, which was fantastic. Will definitely be back and would recommend

Yamamori Sushi, Tengu
38-39 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

was here for an after work eat on thursday night and have been here a few times before. staff are very nice and friendly, helpful and attentive, the food is always delicious, and the atmosphere is great. The bento box is very good value at under 20 euro adn they have a gret selection of wines from about 19 euro a bottle. in general (if you dont opt for the bento box) i think there is better value to be had. it was 109 euro for dinner for 3, with starters, one desert between us all and a bottle of wine. its bad, but for a cheap mid week eat its not great. having said that i love the place and will definitely be returning

The Yacht (Clontarf)
73 Clontarf Road, Clontarf, Dublin

I went to the yacht for a mid week eat just after Christmas… I had a vegetable stir fry and my husband had the steak. The food OK. Not wonderful, but nice enough. The service again was OK. Wasn’t waiting for ages, got served fairly fast etc. my main complaint was the price. Its was way over priced for the quality and there is much better value to be had in restaurants around the area. So like I say, food was ok, but in this climate do you want to pay high prices for just OK food? Probably not!

Moloughney's Clontarf
9 Vernon Avenue, North Dublin, Clontarf, Dublin

I have been here a fair few times now, and have always thought it was good but was dissappointed on my last visit. we went for breakfast, but it was pretty poor, it was a full irish, so isnt difficult to get it right. The food wasn't too tasty and the toast wasnt done i spite of me asking for it to be redone. I wont be going back for a while.

ely bar & brasserie
CHQ Building, Georges Dock, Dublin 1, City Centre, IFSC, Dublin

The food here is lovely and the staff are friendly and the service is good. my only complaint is value for money, i think at the moment, there is better value to be had is some of the other restaurants near by. the Pre theatre menu isnt too bad (24 euro for 2 courses) but other than that its over priced.

Casa Pasta (Clontarf)
55 Clontarf Road, Dublin 3, Clontarf, Dublin

Have only been here once and not going to be back. Its over priced for what you get, the food is average at best. the service is good and the staff are friendly but it doesnt make up for the fact that there are far nicer places to eat in the area. plus, if you dont like family restaurants dont go, it was full of children!
