I love Milano for a less formal, more laid back lunch or dinner. The antipasto plate is a favourite of mine and the make caesar salad special, it is delicious. Pizzas and pastas are lovely too. A great place for tasty meals with great value for both food and wine.

Olive Branch Bistro
36 O’ Connell Street, Limerick City, Limerick

My fiance and I went for dinner here on a Saturday night. There was no nice atmosphere about the place at all, in fact we were in and out in less than an hour which was very unlike us. To start I had the mushroom and parmesan risotto which came in a cold bowl, contained maybe one mushroom in all and the only discernible parmesan was the tiny amount of supermarket shaker tub cheese on top of the salad. It was completely tasteless. My fiance's Caesar salad was small with a minuscule amount of chicken. We both had the porterhouse steak which was small, thin and lacking in flavour, as were the garlic butter and pepper sauce. The chips were not great either. We left feeling dissatisfied to say the least and will not be returning.

Mogul Emperor
1 Henry Street, Limerick City, Limerick

One of my favourite Indian restaurants, this place has exceptional value. The food is delicious, particularly the tandoori prawns if I had to pick one dish. The staff are always willing to accommodate changes and will cook something not on the menu on request. Also brilliant for takeaway and delivery. The restaurant itself could probably do with refurbishment but somehow that adds to the charm!

Cafe Solo (Limerick)
Rutland Street, Limerick City, Limerick

I often go here for a lunch treat. Anything I've had here has been tasty, well prepared and served quickly despite how busy it is. The Caesar salad is lovely but I'm always tempted by the fantastic chicken solo sandwich with potato wedges- it's huge but so delicious. My next aim is to get there to try out the breakfast.

French Table

A beautiful restaurant with wonderful staff, great food and wine and the desserts and complimentary treats at the end of the meal were such a treat. I will be returning again and again.

Copper & Spice (Limerick City)
2 Cornmarket Row, Limerick, Limerick City, Limerick

One of my favourite restaurants, the Asian food here is so authentic. Excellent Early Bird- get the Early Bird card and get your sixth free. Fantastic value and they do take away too. This place is special.

Creamery Bar & Restaurant The

The food upstairs in the restaurant is simply divine. And downstairs this place sets the bar for pub grub.

The Sage Cafe
67-68 Catherine Street, Limerick, Limerick City, Limerick

Sage is fanatastic, there is thought gone into the menu, the food is fresh and the flavours are so well balanced in every dish. Any time I've been there the staff have been excellent. The only downside is you often have to wait for a table it's so good. I'm highly amused that a person would send back a cappuccino for being too HOT - twice!! Come on!
