That's Amore - Malahide
12 Townyard Lane, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

Love this restaurant, went with the kids for the early bird menu on Sunday. It is between 5.30 and 6.30.Restaurant was packed no empty tables.Very good value 2 courses 12.90.Great selection of meals on early bird.I have king prawns and calamari to start and my husband had brushcetta caprese. Both starters were very generous in size and delicious. The kids meals came out with our starters which was great. The kids had pizza and spaghetti bolognese. We both had penne arriabiata, you can have it plain or with chicken or bacon. It was really tasty. The kids had chocolate ice cream in a cone for dessert and we had a banoffi waffle which was made fresh and it was to die for.Would recommend this restaurant for good food and great value for money.

Partridges Artisan Cafe & Fine Food Shop
93 Main Street, Gorey, Wexford

While we were on holidays in Wexford we visited this cafe twice.Once for breakfast and once for dinner. Both times were excellent. We had our children both times and the staff were so great. The service and the food was fantastic. My husband ordered a full irish breakfast which was priced very reasonable for the food that he received.I had a scone which came served with jam and cream. They have a lot of different flavoured scones not just the normal plain or fruit. When we went for dinner my husband had the roast chicken with garlic mash.I had the fish pie. Both were served beautifully with a good size portion and very tasty. We both had desserts, banoffi and chocolate fondant which were lovely too.If ever in Gorey please drop in to this cafe you will not be disappointed.

The Port House
64a South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

ate here last minute with the kids and was not disappointed. We chose about 8 tapas and all of them were delicious. The kids really enjoyed the whole experience and we would go back again. The waiter was a little slow to take order but the food made up for this.

Saba
26-28 Clarendon Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Had a fantastic night here before christmas with the girls. There was 12 of us and it did not disappoint. Had not been here in two years and the food was as delicious as I had remembered. We all chose different starters, mains and desserts. Not one person had anything bad to say. The service was fantastic and so attentive even though the place was packed. Beautiful cocktails to start the night and irish coffees to end the night. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Essence Bistro
75 Main Street, Swords, Dublin

Delighted to see a new restaurant in Swords. Food was gorgeous. We received a parsnip and lemon soup for an appetizer. Then I had the goats cheese and mushroom tart and my husband had the caesar salad with bacon. They were both delicious. Then my husband had a rib eye steak and it was cooked perfectly, this was served with homemade chips and salad. I chose the breast of chicken with truffle and dauphnois potato. It was really tasty. We both had desserts which were nice. The chocolate and hazelnut brownie with vanilla ice cream and I had a pecan tart with almond ice cream. The only thing I didnt like about the restaurant was the decor, I didnt think it was very warm maybe this was because the restaurant was freezing. The air conditioning was on all the time. We asked twice for it to be turned off as it was over our table and it never happened. Hopefully this gets sorted as the meal was so nice and we can return and not have to wear our jackets.

O'Connor's Seafood Restaurant
The Square, Bantry, Cork

Had a fabulous meal here. Had no booking and was almost full but took us in as we said we would not be that long. We had our 2 children with us. We went for the specials menu and I had the apple and goats cheese salad with honeyed pecan nuts, it was amazing. There was so many good things to choose from on the specials menu, it was hard to decide what to have. I had duck for my main course and it did not disappoint. They made 2 proper dinners for the kids with roast chicken and mash potato with separate veg, even though this was not on the menu. Great place to eat, but as we dined at 6.30, this was the reason we got a table. About 10 couples came in after and were refused a table as they were booked out. If you would like to eat here, book well in advance. We tried to book for the next night but they were booked out.

Salvador Restaurant
9 High Street, Killarney, Kerry

Dinner was average here. Went for the specials menu, my husband had a burger which was huge, it came covered in greasy mushrooms and onions, he didnt think it was going to be that big. The chips were horrible He could not finish his dinner. I had a chicken dish which was ok. Our table was full of the plates and glasses, it took at least 40 mins for the waitress to clear the table. Would not eat in this restaurant again.

Bon Appetit
9 James Terrace, Malahide, Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

Brought visitors out to Bon Appetit, as the fine dining was closed we decided to eat downstairs in the brasserie. We ordered starters, which took 50 mins to arrive, these were all cold starters and would not have taken that much preparation. Also we asked the waiter how long more they were going to be and he checked and came out with starters in his hand, like it had been sitting waiting to come out. Main courses we had was salmon, 2 duck and 1 chicken and bacon pie. The pie had no sauce inside just meat and it did not fill the small bowl that it was in, very disappointing. Portions size of salmon was very small also. We ordered a portion of chips that we had to remind the waiter about, this was near the end of our meal. Had 4 espressos, 2 bottles of wine, 2 bottles of beer and 2 cocktails. The bill came to 230 which I thought was expensive for the quality of the food. Will not be going back here again.Sorry.

Nautilus
9 Marine Court, The Green, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

Food is excellent, service fantastic. Went here with my friends, it was a table of 8. The evening from start to finish was fantastic. We booked a table for 8pm and we left at 11.30pm. They did not try to rush us. All the courses were gorgeous with the attention to detail being great. Bill worked out at 50 euro each, but that was with 4 bottles of wine and at about 8 bottles of beer. With everyone having 3 courses. Will be back very soon.

Gourmet Food Parlour Ballyboughal
Oldtown Road, Ballyboughal, Ballyboughal, Dublin

Went here with my 2 children and husband for a coffee and something nice. Service was rubbish, it took the girl ten mins to come to table to take order. There was 5 people working behind counter for 7 tables. She asked me to repeat my order 3 times and when we received our coffees they were the wrong ones. The place is nice but food is not worth travelling to Ballyboughal for. Will not be back.
