Not mad about the interior. Also had to ask twice for the bill. But the quality of the food was really good. I had a steak fillet and being told this is a good place for the steaks I was brave enough to order it blue which I never had before. And I have to say blue it was. I really enjoyed it and I will definately be back for more soon.

The Old Stand
37 Exchequer Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Every now and then I meet family in different pubs around town. Just to meet up and this time it was the old stand and I have to say we were very surprised about the food and the service. Great selection and because it was the lunch menu the chef even offered to cook something from the dinner menu if we cant find what we are looking for. That pub wont be dying it understands that its not only about the drink anymore.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen - GBK (South William Street)
14 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Lately burger places seem to be springing out of the ground like mushrooms which I dont mind. A good old burgers always works for me so I took a few friends from abroad that were over for a visit. Nice place. Nice staff too. At first though the Burger seemed to flat for I was expecting a nice thick juicy peace of meat. But after tasting it I have to say the quality seemed very good. Also the sauce was very nice. They had a nice selection of sauces. I had the mexican guacamole. All in all a nice experience although the price for a Burger with fries and a drink was a bit to close to the 20 Euro marker which seemed a bit steep for my taste.

The Winding Stair Restaurant
40 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1 , City Centre North, Dublin

With the ha'penny bridge as my moms favorite bridge in Dublin I brought her out for a suprise treat. It was essential to get a table with bridge view. Unfortunately I had to spend two days with ringing at least 10 times a day before I gave up and walked over to make the booking. The food was nice, but I have to say for that price it was a bit too much something that I could have done at home. Organic salmon, mussels, chocolate icecream. The crab pot with duck fat was different. The sea food showder was nice too. But my mom enjoyed it and you cant beat that view.
