The food here is delicious and simple, prepared with love and attention. Staff are friendly and helpful. Lunch here is very good value for money. The super salad is only a tenner and you get so many different things in it. Add pan fried chicken for an extra 2 euro and you have a satisfying and nutritionally balanced meal. Highly recommended!

Featherblade
51 Dawson Street, Dawson Street, Dublin

Meat lovers listen up: this place is a must try! They have a very small and well thought out well executed menu that will leave you satiated and smiling! I had the featherblade medium rare and man was it juicy and tender, not an easy thing to do with tough cuts of the bovine. The sides of truffle mac n cheese also didn't disappoint, tenderstem broccoli was grilled to perfection, and the best chips in town cooked in beef drippings which stayed crispy till the very last bit! Only pity that I didn't realise they had starters written on the blackboard and not on the menu. Would've tried the confit chicken dish too. Next time I will! BTW, not the kind of place for vegetarians.

Koh
6-7 Jervis Street, Millennium Walkway, Dublin 1, City Centre, Italian Quarter, Dublin

Lovely lunch, reasonable prices, friendly service, relaxing lighting and soft background music. I love sitting at the lounge area either for a quick solo lunch or some cocktails with my girlfriends. This is one of my favourite restaurants.

Cleaver East By Oliver Dunne
6-8 East Essex Street, , Temple Bar, Dublin 2 , Temple Bar, Dublin

I suppose if I was to review Cleaver East with all the publicity and hype in mind, it would've received fewer than four stars. The food was nice but nothing special. The atmosphere was nice and chilled out. The hostess was charming and welcoming but the service was a little hit or miss. Oliver Dunne may have designed the menu but he certainly had nothing to do with my watery pasta or my husband's bland beef carpaccio. One might even suspect that the quality of the beef was sub-par, hence the need to drown it in sauce and bury it under a mountain of rocket. We did not partake in dessert. The waitress seemed uninterested in topping up our wine glasses or setting us up with cutlery for our main courses. She did, however, seem content in buzzing around the half empty restaurant looking busy. If I were to review Cleaver East as just another run of the mill city centre eatery, however, my lunch experience here was just fine. If Mr Dunne was aiming for another Michelin Star with this one, I would suggest he not hold his breath.

Balfe's
The Westbury Hotel, The Westbury Mall, Balfe Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Had lunch here by myself while shopping in town. I was very intrigued by their sea bream dish. It's not every day that you see fish cooked and served on the bone on a hotel restaurant menu. The dish was beautifully cooked, the fish was perfectly fresh and not at all dry, the flavour combination was fresh and clean. If I was to be a little petty I would say the capers were a tad too salty and should have been rinsed, but that's only a tiny flaw in an otherwise excellent dish. Service was good if a little too formal and stiff, but I guess that's what you usually get in a four star hotel.

Banyi Japanese Dining
4 Bedford Row, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I purchased a special three course deal for two from Menupages. After eating here I have to say that they are really very very good. Even my husband who is not a very adventurous eater was satisfied with his food. We had a seaweed salad and chicken skewers for starters, dragon roll and marinated pork for mains and green tea creme brulee and chocolate pave for desserts and we cleaned the plates! My dragon roll was made with a gigantic prawn, decorated with crispy fried head and tail, arranged in the shape of a dragon, scattered with fish eggs and dotted with mayonnaise, a little dish of dry ice gave it some special visual effect and for a second there it really looked like a dragon. And it tasted great too! the dessert were superb! My husband's chocolate pave came with a brandy ice cream, and you can definitely taste the brandy! My green tea creme brulee was creamy and subtle, with a crisp and crunchy caramel top. We almost licked the plates! The coffees were also proper. So many Asian restaurants have terrible coffee, but not this one! It's a great place for authentic Japanese cuisine and we will definitely be returning.

Musashi Noodles and Sushi (IFSC)

The sushi here is very good, fresh and clean, and just the right amount. They made a small portion friend rice for my little boy and he loved it! Would definitely return!

KC Peaches Cafe Dame St
54 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

What an amazing little find! On first glance I thought it was just a deli. But they have very spacious comfy tables upstairs where you can relax and have a glass of wine from their rather impressive wine list. The food is delicious and artfully presented. The sharing boards are very generously portioned and balanced in flavour and colours. Atmosphere is relaxed and cheerful, with minimalist decor and simple no-nonsense furniture. Service is absolutely impeccable too. Our server Keelin was so friendly and patient considering our little boy wasn't on his best behaviour. All in all a great place and we'll defo be rushing back for more! Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Bagots Hutton
6 Upper Ormond Quay, City Centre South, Dublin

Absolutely fab place. Had a birthday party there with the girls the other day and we really enjoyed ourselves. The food and wine were both excellent. Staff are wonderful, very laid back and friendly. When they ran out of change in the till they actually gave me back my money and told me I can pay them later. I paid them with all coins then and there was no hassle at all. The place is so intimate and charming. A rare find! For all my foodie and wino friends out there I couldn't recommend this place highly enough!

Cafe Brazil
13 Crown Alley, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Went there with friendly and our little baby for Sunday early dinner. The place is rather small, most of the larger tables are up a flight of very narrow stairs. The toilet is so small you'll need to walk sideways to get in and out (and I'm quite skinny). Food is adequate and wines very drinkable. It's not the kind of place you'd go to on special occasions but fur a quick bite it's good. Service is efficient and friendly. Atmosphere is good too.

Carlo's Restaurant
63-64 O'Connell Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Lovely food and spot-on service. The steak on stone is very exciting. The meat is nice and tender, fries crispy, salad fresh, and it comes with three classic sauces. Love it!

ely winebar
22 Ely Place, (Just off St. Stephen’s Green), Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Great place for a nice glass of wine and also for special occasions. The staff are courteous and knowledgeable. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They even provided a baby chair for my little one, which I did not expect but really appreciated. The atmosphere here is always great. The decor is classy and the music relaxing. Check out their newly reduced prices for wine. You can have a glass of Saint Emilion for less than a tenner! Love it!

ely bar & brasserie

Great food, the haunch of venison is a must try. Oh and definitely sample their wines as you a lot of choices by the glass and their new price is great value for money!

The Harbour Master Restaurant & Bar
Custom House Dock, I.F.S.C Dublin 1, IFSC, Dublin

Had early dinner here and food and service were both very good. Our lamb shank and super salad were both delicious and filling. The waitress was very attentive and pleasant even though she was very busy. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Prices are quite reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food. Will definitely return!

Good World Chinese Restaurant
18 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Definitely the best Dim Dum in town. I left the place so stuffed full of wonderful scallop buns and egg tarts I was unable to eat dinner. Service is efficient. However, I wasn't too happy to find that they had charged for the tea which was brought to the table as soon as we arrived. If you are going to just bring things to the table without anyone ordering you need to let people know they are being charged for them. At other Chinese restaurants the tea is offered and free of charge. Would go back for the delicious food but next time I'll send the tea back as I didn't even drink it.

The Morehampton Brasserie (Previously the The Restaurant @ Donnybrook Fair)
89 Morehampton Road, Dublin 4, Donnybrook, Dublin

This place is now under new management and the service has improved a lot! Dinner with hubby and baby was a delight! They even have highchairs available on request. I would definitely return and maybe check out their brunch menu as I've heard good things about it too.

Brasserie 7
The Capel Building, Capel Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Food here can be a bit of a hit or miss.Service is slow when there's no Manager in sight. I've eaten here in the summer months and had been really looking forward to returning but after this experience I would not go back. If you want to get a waiter's attention for a second drink you practically need to jump up and down. Not impressed.

ely gastro bar
Grand Canal Square, (Next to the Bord Gais Energy Theatre), Dublin 2, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

I absolutely love this place! Been there many times and have never been disappointed. Hubby and I went there for a post-match meal after Leinster annihilated Ulster. The hubby and I shared the duck platter which was absolutely wonderful. You get a huge wooden board of pan fried, roasted and confit duck served with a tart apple chutney which compliments the duck perfectly. There's more than enough on the board to feed two hungry people. We entered Ely hungry and thirsty, and left stuffed and satiated. The staff found out that it was my first night out since my baby was born and they went out of their way to make my night extra special. The after dinner cocktails went down a treat! I also got to sample their Habanero infused vodka! It's got some serious heat and goes great in cocktails. Another great meal experience in Ely Gastro Bar! This place remains my favorite in all of Dublin city!

Smyth & Gray's Restaurant
1A Crow Street, Temple Bar, Dublin

Had Sunday lunch here with hubby and baby on a voucher. Food was nice and of good quality. We had smoked duck salad and pate for starters. Both were nice. My tuna steak was very fresh and tender and came with a punchy spicy sauce and some tender young vegetables; hubby had roast beef with proper gravy. For dessert my pistachio creme brulee was definitely the winner though his cranberry chocolate tart was quite pleasant too. Service was very professional and attentive without being overbearing. All in all a very pleasant dinning experience and we can't wait to return for their a la cart menu soon!

Le Bon Crubeen
81-82 Talbot Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Very good meal. Our waiter Ciaran was great, gave us the perfect table for keeping our little one happy and quiet so hubby and I could get on with our meal. Or the three courses I had my favorite was the scallops which were perfectly cooked. If I were to be a little picky I would say that the presentation of the dishes was very outdated. Two of the dishes we had came with undressed lamb\'s lettuce as garnish. It did not complement the dishes and were irrelevant and tasteless. However, all the cooked elements of dishes were very expertly prepared and we were both happy. Service was perfect. Ciaran checked on our table regularly and we only had to THINK about a second drink before he appeared at the table offering tobring another round. The restaurant\'s decor is classy yet understated, with non-intrusive jazz music in the background. Highly recommended!
