We thought this place was excellent value for money. In fact we couldn't believe that we actually got a starter, main course, dessert and a half bottle of wine each for 28.00 euro. It was all really good food too and the staff were really interest in our feedback and were really efficient. We actually couldn't fault it. It is fairly new and all staff are really eager to please. If you have a party of six or more and live in the general D15 area (some flexibility with the area, we were advised) the restaurant will send a taxi to collect you and also bring you home - FREE OF CHARGE. That can't be bad!

Trocadero
St Andrew Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I went with my husband and two friends and it was our first time here. We all absolutely loved it. From the minute we walked in the door to a very warm and friendly welcome, we knew we had chosen a 1st class restaurant. Our waiter was extremely efficient and very funny! The food was fabulous and there was even live music playing. I would highly recommend the Trocadero and will definitely be back.

The Mint Leaf (Dunboyne)
Summerhill Road, Dunboyne, Meath

Still really like this place, but unfortunately we were welcomed and served by a rather grumpy member of staff, which was disappointing. Food excellent as usual.

Washerwomans Hill
60 Glasnevin Hill, Glasnevin, Glasnevin, Dublin

First time here. Loved the old world feel but was very disappointed with the food. My husband started with the Potato and Chorizo Fritters. He could hardly taste the chorizo, it seemed to be mostly potato. Likewise my starter lacked taste. I had the crab cakes and again could hardly taste crab, just potato. We both had steak which was very plain with no sauces offered, Mine was very grizzley. Vegs were nicely cooked. Overall it was a very disappointing experience as we had been planning on trying this restaurant for quite a while. We won't be in a hurry back.

Brasserie Sixty6
66/67 Great South Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Had a very enjoyable night here. Booked through menupages and got a free unexpected cocktail on arrival. The place was very busy and noisy, but this provided a good atmosphere. Maybe not great for an intimate meal, but it suited us. I had a voucher for a free main couse, which I had used my menupoints to get and this proved to be excellent value (worth about €25.00). The food was excellent and well presented. Quite a long delay getting our cocktails (we thought they had forgotten them) but when they arrived they were fab and well worth waiting for. The staff were very attentive and service was very quick and friendly. We will definitely go back.

Brownes Steakhouse
The Plaza, Blanchardstown Village, Dublin 15, Blanchardstown, Dublin

Ate here last Thursday night. The snow was thick on the ground, but as it was my birthday we ventured out and we were very glad we did. It was our first time at this restaurant and it was a very pleasant experience. I had crab cakes to start which were lovely and both myself and my husband went for the steak on the stone for mains. Because the weather was so bad the staff offered everybody a free bottle of wine! And it wasn't cheap plonk either. The steak on the stone, was a really novel idea which we hadn't tried before but it was really nice and being a Thursday it was on special offer. Only downside was the smoke from the cooking which was hard on the eyes and left our clothes smelling of cooking. However, all in all it was a very pleasant experience and excellent value.

Fallon and Byrne
11-17 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Ate here with the girls last Friday night. It was really, really busy. We booked a table on the basis that they needed it back at 8.45 and bang on 8.45 the waiter came to the table and said 'sorry ladies but you don't have time for dessert'. It was a bit abrupt and there was no warning. Also they had no objection to letting us order another bottle of wine about 5 minutes before which we had only just started. The room was also very, very dark and we complained twice as we couldn't read the menus, but they just gave us one more t-light!! Having said that the food was quite good. Oh and a 12.5% service charge was added to our bill, which was a shock (if it was on the menu, we hadn't seen it.......maybe the lights are dim for a reason!! Overall, not a brilliant experience.

Toscana City Centre
3 Cork Hill, Dame Street (opposite Dublin Castle), Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

Atg in Toscana on a Sat night. It was very busy and although we had booked a table, it seemed like we were lucky to get a table. Instead of being shown to our table, a table for six was sort of pointed at (meaning that we should make our way there!), although we had only booked a table for 4. The food was ok. I started with tiger prawns with a sweet chilli sauce. The prawns were overdone, small, and the sauce wasn't a sweet chilli sauce. The mains were just ok too. I had a steak and chips. The plate was mainly filled with chips, lots of chips. We asked for water glasses three times before we got them, without any apology! From a good selection of desserts, there were only three desserts left, and this was at only 9.30 p.m. Would not be in a hurry back.

The Signal Restaurant at The Station House Hotel
Main Street, Near Navan, Near Trim, Kilmessan, Meath

I absolutely love this place! We had lunch here last Monday. The lunch menu is a four course meal for 22.95 and is served until 5.00 p.m. There is a huge choice on the menu. There were six of us and we all had something different and none of us were disappointed. The ambiance is fab and the staff are very attentive. Nothing is a problem. We will definitely be back again.

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Love this place. The food is excellent and really good value. There were seven of us including children and nobody had any complaints. Staff were very friendly and efficient. I also got to us my menupoints voucher which made it even better value. Love the apple crumble dessert!

OKA Restaurant
Northwood Demense, North Dublin, Santry, Dublin

This was my 2nd time at this restaurant for lunch. It has a great atmosphere and was very busy both times. The food and service are excellent. I had yuk sung and then the duck for mains. It was all very tasty and very well presented. The staff are very good with parties and are very happy for you to bring your own birthday cake. Excellent restaurant.

Milano (Dawson Street)
38 Dawson Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

I was quite disappointed in this restaurant. The only thing I couldn't fault was the service. Went on a Sat for lunch and as it was the Sat before Christmas, we were very surprised to see it was practically empty at 12.30. I had bruscetta to start and it wasn't good. The bread they used was like a pitta bread which I have never seen used before for a bruscetta and wasn't very nice. I then had a chicken caesar salad, but had to really search for some chicken. Goats cheese and croutons seem to have been used to camouflage the definite lack of chicken. All in all, quite poor value for money.

La Cuvee @ Eno Wine Bar
1 Burton Hall, Mayor Square, IFSC, City Centre North, Dublin

Absolutely love this place. From the wine tasting area downstairs to the fab restaurant upstairs. The food is really excellent and the staff very friendly and efficient. I had the pate to start and the duck a l'orange. My husband had the steak. We were with another couple and although I can't remember what they ate, we were all very impressed and had no complaints whatsoever. Also you can buy wine in the off license downstairs, pay for corkage and bring it upstairs which reduces the cost. We were very pleasantly surprised with the bill too - excellent value all round.

Sanctuary @ Crowne Plaza Blanchardstown
Blanchardstown Town Centre, Blanchardstown, Dublin

I really like this place. Ambiance is very comfortable and the decor is fab. The food is excellent considering it is bar food. It is actually much better value than the restaurant in the hotel. Love the Thai Red curry.

The Bank on College Green
20-22 College Green, City Centre South, Dublin

Went to the Bank for lunch on Sat. It was my first time there. Really enjoyed it. Loved the location of the restaurant upstairs. The service was good and we never felt rushed at any stage. The food was excellent and it was really good value for money. What I also really liked was that I got an e-mail from the bank a couple of days later in which they thanked me for eating there and hoped that I enjoyed the food etc. It was really nice and the first time I had experienced this from any restaurant. Nice touch and good customer service!
