The restaurant has a lovely warm atmosphere. The staff are very polite and helpful. I like my food very spicy and the manager did everything to accomodate me, giving me 3 different sauces to try out. I would recommend this restaurant and really enjoyed the experiance. The only draw back is that they only have spirits available, you have to bring your own wine or beer. But its worth a visit.

The atmosphere in this restaurant a bit dull and wasn't exactly relaxing. The furniture seemed old and worn. The staff were attentive and did try to look after us. The starters (onion bajhe) were very big and we couldn't finish them. We weren't blown away by the main courses either. Ordered vindaloo extra, extra hot. But it was fairly mild and the garlic naan was horrible, it was not made like normal garlic naan, there wasn't any garlic and had a red seasoning instead. Was a bit disappointed and don't think we would go back again.

Warm cosy atmosphere in this restaurant, We thoroughly enjoyed this place for our Valentines dinner on the saturday night. Food was lovely, with only the soup needing a bit of seasoning. Himself got the biggest chunk of fried brie either of us have ever seen. My lamb was cooked to perfection while his fillet steak was a little under cooked but still scrummy :) We will definitely be going back there again. Cant wait!

Bridge House Restaurant
Bridge Street, Tullamore, Offaly

I have been to this restaurant many times and decided to treat himself as i have always enjoyed the food here. After being brought to the table, we were left waiting for what felt like a long time. There didn't seem to be appropriate staffing levels this night in particular. Eventually himself went to the bar to get our drinks. At this time, I had to get the waiters attention to come over to the table and take our food order :-( I must say however that the food tasted great and we both enjoyed what we got, soup and rack of lamb for myself, a feast of garlic mushrooms and peppered steak for himself. Really couldn't fault the food and would definitely return.

Il Vignardo
Beresford Hotel, 21 Store Street, City Centre North, IFSC, Dublin

A nicely decorated interior, with the kitchen open to the restaurant. It was very quiet when we arrived, even for a saturday night. We both had soup to start, which was full of flavour and we both enjoyed. For the mains I had a pasta dish, which had barely any chilli even though I asked for extra chilli and there was a lot of oil in the bottom of the bowl. It was still nice enough though. Himself the Calzone, which had a bit too much salt and the portion was too big. Not sure about return visit.

Derryclare Restaurant
Market Street, Clifden, Galway

We went here for an evening meal, the restaurant was very quiet. We had to move down the back because the front door was left open and there was a very cold breeze coming in. There was a good selection on the menu. But I found the main courses pricey. I had the fajitas which were very tasty and Himself had a pizza which was very basic and tasted like it was made with ragu sauce. I thought the food wasn't worth the money, especially at that time of year when there aren't as many tourists.

Jalapenos Mexican Restaurant
The Halls, Quay Street, Galway City, Galway

This restaurant is fairly small and does not take bookings. You just walk in off the street. When we went in we had no problem getting a table, but later it was completely full. The food was really tasty and was very good portion sizes. I did challenge the chef as it says on their menu and i got my free shot of tequila. The fajitas weren't too hot and i still asked for tobasco. I would definitely go back to this restaurant and it was value for money. The only thing we didn't like was that the staff weren't very attentive and could have been better in dealing with customers.

Kumar's Taste of Asia
Swan House, Swan Street, Flood Street, Galway City, Galway

This is our favourite restaurant in Galway, no other one comes close. This family run restaurant makes you feel welcome as soon as you enter the door. The staff are very helpful and polite. The food is amazing and especially the satay skewers. Any special requests, such as a very hot dish will be spiced to suite your palate. Regular customers are extremely well looked after. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Try it!
