We've eaten at Cafe Topolis now on three occasions and have not been disappointed anytime. The atmosphere is always wonderful, very busy most times but still relaxed and not at all frantic or chaotic. I've had some seafood dishes which have been very tasty and more importantly fresh tasting. My partner would have mostly had pasta dishes but has always been very happy with the food served. Staff here have always been extremely professional and courteous. We will definitely be back.

Mayfield Deli & Eatery
Terenure Road North, South Dublin, Terenure, Dublin

Third times a charm, at least at Mayfield it is. I have been here now on three occasions and have enjoyed each visit. We met a friend here for brunch first time and it was beautiful, I had Eggs Benedict which were so nice, my partner had the breakfast pie which I was told was really nice also. Second visit was for dinner which too was delicious. Today we went for lunch and again weren't disappointed with either the food or the service. Lunch time here is extremely busy and I have seen people having to wait or leave and come back before getting a table. I love the decor, very retro chic and quite eclectic. The staff are a definite bonus to this little gem, very polite and friendly. All in all excellent value for money. Will be back.

Eco Pizzeria & Restaurant
50 Main Street, Gorey, Wexford

We have eaten here on quite a few occasions and never been disappointed. On our last visit there were one or two minor issues with the children's food, a cheese burger arrived instead of plain one but was rectified in minutes. Children's meals which were to be served with our starters didn't arrive until our food did. Manageress apologised profusely but it wasn't a big issue either way as the children had their milkshakes to be going on with. Eco is so relaxed and offers a lovely variety of foods with excellent service. Good value for money too.

The Greenroom Restaurant at Seafield Hotel & Spa Resort
Ballymoney, Ballymoney Wexford, Wexford

We dined in the bar at Seafield as guests of my brother and his family and while the food was 5 star in taste and presentation the service was awful. Now from what I've heard generally this would seem to be exceptional but this review is reflective of our experience. We ordered our starters which took 45mins to get, there was a problem with mine when it arrived which took a few mins to rectify. My replacement arrived and I encountered exactly the same problem (crab shell in the fish cake) but removed shell as I found it and ate the rest. Told the waitress about this and she apologised and moved on. All in all the time that took was about 15 mins or so which meant we were an hour or more into dinner & had just finished our starters. We then had to wait another 35 mins for our mains during which time we also heard some more customers complain about not having received their orders. Orders arrived out only to be returned as they were at the wrong tables. It seemed the kitchen was in utter chaos on our visit. My brother asked to speak to a manager and 20 mins later had to leave the table and go find one. When we did eventually get our main courses they were superbly presented and tasted wonderful so it really was a pity that the rest of the evening had gone so terribly. The explanation given by the waitress for the delay was that I had returned my starter and our mains were held up but in speaking to the manager he informed my brother that this wasn't the case and the kitchen was very behind in getting the orders out!!. Not a good policy to have waiting staff lie on the chefs behalf. The manager dicounted our bill by one starter and a main course which was the right thing to do I feel. Anyway we thoroughly enjoyed the food we had, not the experience as a whole though. My brother and his family ate there on another evening and again couldn't speak highly enough in praise of the service and food they had.

Crackbird
60 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We went to Crackbird for a late-ish lunch midweek and were surprised to find we were the only people there. It usually seems busy no matter when you pass by but not on this occasion. That said it is hard to say there was much atmosphere but the staff were very chatty and a few more people arrived as we had our lunch. I had the Garlic and Soy half chicken which really is enough food for two so had a doggy bag to bring home. The chicken was quite tasty, moist and as I mentioned a very sizable portion. My side dish was a cold one of sweet potato noodles in a spicy oil. These were also quite nice. My partner had the Torpedo baguette which they found very filling but tasty, a side of couscous however was quite bland and dry. We didn't have any alcohol or drinks other than water and with a bill of twenty three euros we found this to be good value. Service was excellent, staff are pleasant and helpful.

D'arcy McGee's Pub and Restaurant
Spawell Complex, Templeogue, Dublin

Myself and my partner have eaten here twice now and both times have been very happy with the quality of the food served and value for money. Service between courses can be a little slow but sometimes that's not a bad thing. We also had a family meal out with 14 people and have to say it too was great, everybody loved the food and commented on how reasonable the bill was at the end of the evening. It did get particularly hot at one stage but maybe because we were seated beside the kitchen. The staff are extremely polite, friendly and efficient. Overall I would recommend D'arcy McGee's as somewhere reasonably priced with a relaxed athmosphere and quality food.

Yamamori Noodles
71-72 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Well this has to be one of our favourite places to eat. I can't think of anything bad to say about either food, value for money or service. Any of the seafood dishes I've had have been beautifully cooked but the seafood ramen is to be recommended. Garlic yakatori is the perfect starter and the cheese cake dessert (turtle cheesecake) is so tasty. They usually have a fairly decent wine list too and not too pricey. Staff are always extremely friendly and attentive and this place can't be beaten for value for money. The atmosphere can get a little hectic at times but never too loud really. Over-all I'd find it hard to imagine ever having a bad meal here. We'll definitely be back again.

Noshington Cafe
1A Washington Street, City Centre South, Dublin

This was our first visit to Noshington and I have to say we weren't disappointed. We had been told by my partner's sister that it was a great place for lunch and so we tried it out. We ordered the Rueben sandwich and a delicious chicken with caramelised red onion relish sandwich, can't remember the name. The Rueben was the perfect sandwich, could taste each individual ingredient in the filling & the bread was just thick enough to take on some of the mustard mayo without becoming soggy. The chicken sandwich was beautiful with the sweetness of the onion relish blending perfectly with the moist chicken, yummy!!! Latte was perfect too as were our desserts of Carrot cake & scone. Staff were very friendly & service efficient even though it got pretty busy. We will definitely be going back to sample some more of their delicious sounding menu. Can't wait!!

Riva Restaurant - Harolds Cross
53 Rathgar Avenue, South Dublin, Harolds Cross, Dublin

None of the star ratings are working so I'll just give my overall review a 3.5 out of 5. We dined at Riva today for lunch and I have to say we were very pleasantly surprised. I had Calamari to start which was cooked perfectly if a little on the cool side when it arrived, my partner had the Tomato & Basil soup which was very nice. Our mains consisted of a Chicken,Spinach & Mushroom risotto and a steak sandwich accompanied by some chips and side salad. Overall the food was very well presented and quite tasty. My risotto I felt could have been a bit creamier in consistency, there was still alot of stock sitting in the bottom of the dish.My partner said the steak was cooked as they had asked and enjoyed the home cooked chips. The service was prompt, professional and friendly. We didn't go expecting a 5 star dining experience as we had read some iffy reviews but we would definitely go back to Riva.
