Kostas Greek Restaurant
69 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I went for an early bird special here last Saturday night. Its 17 euro for two courses and tea/coffee or soft drink if preferred. The lighting and decoration is very attractive. The menu was fantastic as it was not a set menu it was a choice of most items on the menu (excluding steak and a king prawn dish). The staff were great and I will definitely be back again. Very romantic setting and not too noisy considering it is slap bang in the middle of town, I would highly recommend the sea bass.

Harrys on the Green
2 King St South, City Centre South, Dublin

I had lunch here yesterday. Very cosy seating, I love the cushions in the booths. Service was fantastic, good menu and portion size. I really think that the classic burger for 10 euro should be jazzed up a bit. It just looks a bit plain and boring on the plate with chips. I think a side salad or coleslaw would brighten it up. I would go again.

First time here for a lunch. I loved the menu, great selection and good prices. I would love to visit again while one of the eating competitions are on. I will be back again and I have already told everyone they should take a visit. Great service! BBQ Fish is beautiful!!!!

The Woolshed Baa & Grill
Parnell Street, The junction of Jervis street and Parnell street., City Centre North, Dublin

i LOVE this place. Always delicious food and great atmosphere especially for sports! the half and half with spicy sauce is lovely and great value. They also have a loyalty card scheme for beers and great offers on cocktail pitchers!

The Porterhouse (North )
Cross Guns Bridge, Glasnevin, Dublin

Nice food but it can get so busy at weekend that the service is not great. Can be very noisy so not a place to have a chat over food. More of a place to eat quietly as you watch sports. The toilets could do with being checked more often. Otherwise food is delicious and some very good offers. I recommend the Pizzas and Garlic bread.

Eddie Rockets (Dame Street)
Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I come here every Friday with my work friends. It is always a nice lively atmosphere and gives you that Friday feeling at lunch time. The offers on the back of the menu are great value and I highly recommend ordering blue cheese dip as it is delicious!!!!!!! Only thing is leave yourself a few mins to allow for the que to pay your bill as it is always busy.

Brioche
51 Elmwood Avenue Lower, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

Nice for lunch but I think the salad portion for 6.50 could be a bit bigger. It seems the portions are much smaller just before lunch as though they are trying to keep enough food to get through lunch time.Nice decor and menu.

Fontana Cafe Restaurant
21 Camden Street Lower, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Ive been here a few times for lunch with my mam now. They have a great deal on where you get either soup and bread, tea or coffee free with any lunch. I have tried a couple of sandwiches which are all very tasty but I highly recommend their salad selection. Great portion size, fresh produce and lovely presentation. The staff are very friendly and are very good at looking after you. the seats can be cramped together at lunch time but it`s a sign of good business. I will continue to recommend here as a lunch option.

Brasserie Sixty6
66/67 Great South Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

I am a huge fan of this restaurant and I have recommended it to several people. I used my menupages points to get a voucher for lunch for two people. I booked for Sunday and mentioned I had this voucher. We arrive on time and we are just about to take our seats when I quietly mention to our waiter that I have this voucher. He then proceeds to announce very loudly so everyone can hear that I am in the wrong because this lunch is only Monday-Friday. I tell him that it did not state this on the voucher and that it was not brought to my attention when I booked. He comes back after discussing with the manger to say that "today is our lucky day that the manager is in a good mood so will let us use our voucher." I was really embarrassed as the surrounding tables were looking at us at this stage. We ordered two vegetarian omelets and two diet cokes. The food was beautiful as always. I asked for the bill off a different waiter and I mentioned yet again that we had a voucher. I was presented with a bill for over 40 euro including items we had not ordered. I had to ask for the waiter again to explain we did not have coffees and we had a voucher. The second bill was for one main course and the two soft drinks. Yet again I was really embarrassed to have to explain that the voucher I had was for two people. The waiter then went off to double check and presented me with a bill for just the two soft drinks. I was so embarrassed , we felt like criminals or cheap skates for using our voucher and I did not want to order more desserts or drinks because I was just humiliated by the whole experience and especially as I had recommended this to my friend and this was her first time there. We made a quick exit to stop the surrounding tables from staring at us. My advice would be please be considerate when dealing with customers with vouchers or coupons. I have always been treated well as a paying customer but yesterday proved a different side to the customer service.

Watermill Cafe
Skerries Mills, Skerries, Dublin

Honestly the worst value from money i have ever experienced!!!! I ordered a cheese toasted sandwich and my mother ordered chips. The lady at the counter said the chips will take ages and although we didnt mind waiting it was clear they did not want to cook them so let my mother order toast and jam instead. We took our seats and we were soon presented with the worst excuse for a cheese sandwich I have ever seen. It was thinner than a single slice of bread. There was what appeared to be one slice of easy single cheese in the bread. Then my mother is presented with her toast and jam to find two pieces of bread with no butter and scraped with a tiny piece of what just looked like jelly. The sandwich was as squashed as my cheese sandwich and would actually dehydrate you it was so dry. Then a card machine was basically shoved in our face as we were eating. This is supposedly a mill so why were we presented with this ?? We decided to not bother with the tour if this is an example of how guests are treated.

The Bankers
16 Trinity Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Visited here with my mam yesterday. I ordered the salmon on Guinness Brown bread with capers and salad and my mam had the Vegetable soup and chips to share. The service was great, we were even given an extra portion of the bread which was delicious! I think the pub could do with some decorating especially the seating fabric is very worn but other than that a lovely meal.

Independent Pizza Co
28 Drumcondra Rd Lower, Dublin 9, Drumcondra, Dublin

My favorite pizza in Dublin. Great service and good portion sizes. Just be warned it can get busy on weekends and especially on match days so be sure to book. My only problem is the seats are too close together at the back of the restaurant.

Maloti
34-35 South William Street, South William Street, Dublin

food here is beautiful and the set evening menu for 16.95 is great. also i always apprecite the large portion of pompaddoms with dips while waiting for our food. i gave the service 4 stars, food was served at a good pace but it would make a big difference if the staff would learn to say thanks and goodbye instead of ignoring us after we paid our bill. overall i would defo recommend especially the korma dishes.
