The Chili Club
Anne's Lane, South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Had a lovely night in the Chili club, food excellent and lady who served was very pleasant but seemed like she was on her own so she was run off her feet, My only negative is that the room is quite small so you are very close to the table next to you.

Siam Thai (Malahide)
1 The Green, North Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

return visit with friends. Food is superb cannot fault it and you get plenty of it, my only gripe is that this time we were seated on the upper level which is too noisy with the singer, cannot talk as you need to shout, perfect table is around the corner at the back were you can experience the atmosphere hear the music but can speak to your fellow diners. we'll be back but will request a different table

Pacinos
18 Suffolk Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

had a lovely night with girlfriends on Saturday night, i had reserved a table but they didnt seem to have the reservation so we ended up at an upstairs table that wasnt suitable for 5 and there was no atmosphere as only one other table was occupied. staff were lovely and food was excellent and service was good

FIRE Restaurant and Lounge
Mansion House, Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

i love this restaurant but i was disappointed with the experience on Saturday. i was dying to see the refurbishment and the new terrace which were fab but on the night in question there was a function in the mansion house and i felt the restaurant suffered. It was a 50th birthday night but it didnt feel special, we couldnt get served a drink on the terrace and the glasses from the previous customers were still there, they removed the one balloon we brought in obviously not the done thing!, food was good but we had to ask for everything inc menus for food and drink and it took an age. i have the gold card membership but we definitely didnt get the gold card treatment.

The Dog House Blue's Tea Room
The Dart Station, Howth, Dublin

Had a great night here on Friday night, the atmosphere is brilliant with a holiday feeling about the place, very pretty with lights decorating the outdoor area. Menu is limited but it doesnt matter as there is enough to choose from, we had pizza and pastas which were very tasty, BYOB is a great idea and the first time we did it so it made the bill very reasonable, the only downer is that the service is terrible, you wouldnt want to be in a hurry or hungry, we sat for 20 mins without even being handed a menu which we had to ask for and for someone to open our bottle of wine, we'll bring screw tops in future.

Geisha Restaurant & Bar (Malahide)
Marina Village, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin

had a really great dinner in Geisha, food is excellent very tasty and beautiful views across the marina and the piano player is a nice touch. Duck parcels to start were amazing followed by the chicken in chilli, superb, definitely will be back, its a shame the bar downstairs doesnt get a bit busier as the music is good and service excellent

Pulcinella's Secret
30 Church St, Howth, Howth, Dublin

On arrival there was no reservation for us eventhough i had the confirmation from menupages so i dont know who was at fault there, lucky enough they had room for us. Lovely authentic italian, rustic feel and very cosy, calamari starter was delicious two of us had the penne arabiata and one of us the pizza, both super and pizza huge. Pasta was very tasty with a great spicy sauce, two bottles of vino to accompany it and a great night had all

profile_review

Bay Restaurant
369 Clontarf Road, Dublin 3, Clontarf, Dublin

had a lovely lunch for my dad's birthday. parents had the soup to start which was delicious and i had the chicken wings which are to die for. mains dad had the fish and mum the steak which they said were very tasty and i had the honey roasted chicken salad with roasted pine nuts gorge. dessert was triple ice cream cakes and cappuchino all in all lovely and enjoyed it but a bit steep at €110 for lunch

profile_review

Il Segreto
13a/b Merrion Row, City Centre South, Dublin

i have been there a few times but Friday ws very disappointing. firstly they tried to give me a table near the kitchen door upstairs, staff were flying by it back and forward as it was a busy evening. i asked to be moved so they asked us to wait a while (no problem) there was a perfect table for four free when we arrived and this was still available when we were waiting, we bought some wine and sat outside eventually we were called and given the table we saw from the moment we arrived!! they mislaid the first bottle of wine we bought? cant fault the food as its very good though the menu seemed to have less choice than before, they never asked us did we want dessert or tea/coffee, wasnt that they were rushing us as they were not, they seemed to just forget ! we had to ask twice for the bill as again the first girl forgot? €180 a lot for poor service.

FIRE Restaurant and Lounge
Mansion House, Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

another fab night in Fire on saturday, it was a birthday night and we were treated brilliantl,y service was great. all 6 of us enjoyed the food immensely as was noted with all clean plates being returned. steaks were amazing and the fish ws superb a bottle of bubbly on the house was very much appreciated and added to the night. finished our night on the terrace with a night cap as the weather for once was balmy. can't recommend it highly enough, thanks

profile_review

Carluccio's Caffe
52 Dawson Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

very disappointing as i have been to one in London which was very good. one of our party's food was cold and prawns were raw, my meatballs were rock hard and could hardly be cut with the knife. the other guys in our party had the pasta and that was fine. expensive enough for inadequate food and only one main course was removed from bill when two were returned uneaten

profile_review

Il Segreto
13a/b Merrion Row, City Centre South, Dublin

What a beautiful restaurant, had a lovely night on Saturday evening. restaurant was warm and inviting and a holiday feeling about it. food was excellent, i had the rocket and parmesan salad to start, yummy and had a great dressing, followed by the cod on mash with the spinach, my frend had the clams and langoustine which she said was good but filling, then some homemade ice cream was delicious, a bottle of pinot Grigio and another two glasses later finished off a great meal and very reasonable at €120

profile_review

Wrights Findlater Howth Restaurant
Findlater House, North Co. Dublin, Howth, Dublin

yet again another lovely night in Findlaters in Howth. i have been a few times and the food is very good and atmosphere lovely. had the chicken wings to start again because they are to die for!! followed by the fillet steak which was tender and tasty. ended the night in the rooftop bar but unfortunately the heaters were not working so it was too cold to sit outside, but aside from this another lovely night in Howth.

The Harbour Master Restaurant & Bar

Marco Pierre White Steakhouse & Grill
51 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

had a really good meal there on Friday. food was very good and one of our party said the steak was the best she'd ever had! high praise indeed. fish was excellent and presentation very good. we weren't rushed but service was good and will definitely return. bit on the pricey side but i suppose that's city centre prices for you!

profile_review

Pacinos
18 Suffolk Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

visited on the 7th of November. Had a lovely night, the lady who looked after us was very good and extremely helpful. Food was excellent and very reasonable, it was our second time there and will definitely go again. We were a bit early so it wasn't too busy which made for the lack of atmosphere but that was our fault not theirs.

profile_review

Rolys Bistro
7 Ballsbridge Terrace, Dublin, Ballsbridge, Dublin

Had my mum's 70th birthday lunch there and we had a lovely time. Food was excellent and service good. We had the lunch special which is brilliant value as there is plenty of choices on the menu and everything is good no matter what you choose. Will definitely go back

profile_review

Bay Restaurant
369 Clontarf Road, Dublin 3, Clontarf, Dublin

have been before so i like this restaurant but was disappointed with my main course. Two of our group got the fish and chips but the fish was totally tastless, very bland. The other mains were fine Starters and desserts were good and service was good as usual.

profile_review

ely bar & brasserie
CHQ Building, Georges Dock, Dublin 1, City Centre, IFSC, Dublin

Had a great night there on Friday. Fabulous table at the window with lovely leather armchairs a complete chill out night. Atmosphere lovely, food great and an extensive wine list. Not rushed at all by the staff who were very pleasant, definitely will return the only negative being that i think its a bit pricey for the area and for what you get.

profile_review

SALE e PEPE
The Diamond, Main Street, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

Had a lovely meal and the food was very good. My only comment would be that even though the service was good, it was very quick. On being asked to be there at 8.25 for an 8.30 booking as they were expecting a large group at 9.pm, we were totally finished our meal inc starters at 9.20pm! I like to unwind on a Friday evening after work but didn't feel relaxed.

Toscana City Centre
3 Cork Hill, Dame Street (opposite Dublin Castle), Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

Went with three friends and enjoyed the night. Food was very good and reasonable, service excellent, great waiters who are a lot of fun and add to the night. Music mellow and added to the ambience. All in all a very enjoyable night, definitely will return and will recommend it to friends.

Oscar Taylor Restaurant
Island View Hotel, Coast Road, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

Have been to this restaurant many times and like it, which is why I booked for my dad's 70th birthday. There were 16 of us and the table we were given was very tight completely makeshift with a whole lot of table for two's stuck together. We could hardly move and it made for an uncomfortable night. On the plus side food was v.good and a nice touch taking a photo of dad with his cake and presenting it to him on leaving.
