I love this spot. The food is excellent and very reasonable priced, especially for the lunchtime menu. They change around the menu quite abit aswel so it doesnt get boring. The service is fantastic - exactly what you want at lunchtime when your stuck for time. Normally im in there for 1pm, my food is out by 1.15 and im full and happy and have plenty of time for a relaxing coffee beofre heading back to work!

The food here is gorgeous but the service is incredibly slow. Myself and my boyfriend ate there last wk at lunchtime and we sat at our table for 25mins waiting for service until my boyfriend actually got up and stopped one of the numerous waitresses which seemed to be walking around doing nothing and told her our order. The food when it did come though was wonderful, huge portion, which I couldn’t even finish and it was very reasonably priced!

Yamamori Sushi, Tengu
38-39 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

I love this place and really enjoyed a night there recently with two friends for a catchup. We order various sushi items, including the crab roll and smoked salmon nigiri and tempura vegetables. We washed it down with lots of asahi beer and tried the plum wine also which was delicious. It was pretty full when we arrived at about 7pm but service was good and the food amazing. The resturant also had a nice chilled yet bussling atmosphere I will definitely be back soon

Marco Pierre White Steakhouse & Grill
51 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

Went here last night with a party of 6 for the early bird menu. The a la carte menu however was so tempting that we decdied to go for that instead. The three guys in our group had the fillet steak and decalared that it was amazing. I had the haddock (2 large pieces) which came with mushy peas and chunky handcut chips. The fish was delicious though prehaps there was alittle too much on the plate for me, but it would satisfy even the hungriest of diners. The 2 other diners had the pork belly which looked and smelt delicious. Clean plates all round. We skipped dessert as we were all so full but got delicious complimentary turkish delights with our coffee. Service was excellent and the wine list was good. Prices were very reasonable and I definately return.

Bad Ass Cafe
Crown Alley, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Great little spot. they have brillant special offer on most of the time! went there with couple of girlfriends for a quick bit. The waiter we had was lovely - very funny, chatty and attentive. The food was delicious. I had the lasange and garlic bread and it was perfectly cooked, rich and tasty. One of my firends had a pasta dish which she ate every morsel of while my other friend had the bad ass burger which is huge and extremely tasty with a range of topping. I dont think ul find better value around the templebar area for a lunch or tasty dinner!

Bits and Pizzas
15 Patrick Street, Dun Laoghaire, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

I love the food here. I had the tiger prawns for starters which were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection - quite a reasonable size portion too. The pizza menu isn’t extensive but the option of choosing your own toppings is great! Will definitely be back when I’m in the area!

Wagamama - Stephen's Green
St Stephen's Green Centre, South King St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Yummy, yummy, yummy, I love this place so much; I just can’t get enough of their gorgeous food. Prices are very reasonable too and you can get it takeaway either which is great. Definitely A+

Canal Bank Cafe
146 Upper Leeson Street, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin

I went here with a few friends and the cafe had a great atmosphere and quite an extensive menu which looked great. The staff however is what really let this place down, quite unfriendly and unaccommodating. Despite great food and prices, bad service is always the one thing that ruins my evening. I hate nothing more then trying to get a waiters attention for bout 15mins just for a jug of water, especially so when a place is not overly busy at the time!

Jewel in the Crown (Ballsbridge)
41-43 Shelbourne Road, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin

I live just around the corner from this Indian and I frequent it regularly. I’ve never had a bad experience here and the food is always great and when combined with their excellent value for money and warm friendly service, it definitely makes for an enjoyable evening!

Maloti
34-35 South William Street, South William Street, Dublin

I ate there last night for the 1st time with a group of friends and we all agreed that it was a lovely stop. Food was delicious - I had vegetable pakora for starter and then chicken korma (€16.95 for starter and main from set menu which had loads of options). Both were delicious even though the korma had a tad too much almond for my liking! Wine was lovely too as was the naan bread. Service was efficient and friendly and the bill at the end of the evening was very reasonable. Will definitely go back with my boyfriend, as it seemed to be a nice place for both groups and couples!

Eddie Rockets (Blackrock)
Main Street, Blackrock, Blackrock, Dublin

Quite expensive - all Eddie Rocket joints are though! I go in here instead of fastfood places as I consider it the slightly better healthier alternative but its very expensive. Don’t even go near this place if your a family, id hate to see your bill at the end even when you have just got chips and a burger - you’ll be shocked!

Akash Indian Restaurant
7 Georges Ave, South Co. Dublin, Blackrock, Dublin

Great place, amazing food - I love Indian food and this place is incredible. Great value for money - perfect lunchtime choice. Only warning us don’t over-indulge:) the portions are so big and the food so yummy, you’ll end up falling asleep for the rest of the evening in work :)

Thunder Road Cafe
Fleet Street, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

I love this place. Great atmosphere. Definitely not the place for you if you want a quiet evening as there’s always a few parties going on in here and sumthing on the big screen. Food is great though and if ur table isn’t ready you can have a cocktail at there great cocktail bar. Good, fast service with a smile. Staff are lovely and happy to recommend things on the menu - everything is great though. The kind of place that you don’t know whether to keep eating or get up and dance when your favourite song comes on:)

Bar Italia
26 Blooms Lane , Lower Ormond Quay, City Centre North, Italian Quarter, Dublin

Good menu in this place. Not to original - standard enough for an Italian eatery - the pasta dishes are lovely though - quite reasonably priced too. Nice atmosphere even though staff are a little slow but they are very friendly and accommodating, which definitely makes all the difference.

The Border Grill Restaurant @ Break for the Border
2 Johnsons Place, Lower Stephen Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Good place for a quick bit with few drinks. Don’t expect to get overly full though. Service is bit slow too. Great atmosphere though and good music. Food was a tad expensive though. Good fun though for after work with few friends esp. on Thurs or Friday night. It probably wouldn’t be my first choice to go but I would go bk if there were group of us going!

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Excellent place. The food is yummy and with every 2 main you get free wine. I’ve been here a few times now and keep going bk. Great value for money especially when you take the free wine into consideration. The last time I was there I got chicken fajitas and they were fab, lots of ingredients, salads, sauces and you can make up your own with little tortillas. You must try the cocktails too. There great value for the jugs of cocktails not so much though for a glass. Considering that a single cocktail is 8-9euro and a jug of any cocktail u like is only about 13-14euro, u gotta go for the jug:)great place, friendly staff - its definitely a favourite of mine!

Ocean Bar
The Millenium Tower, Charlotte Quay, Ringsend, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

Found this place a little on the disappointing side. As a resident of grand canal dock, I had been meaning on many occasions to visit this spot as I’ve heard many people raving about it and so eventually last Friday evening myself and my boyfriend decided to check it out and see what all the fuss was about. We were on the whole, extremely disappointed. Slow service, tiny portion of food and crazy prices. I’m not one to moan about price in general - if the food good I don’t mind paying but when ur presently with such things as tiny chicken wings and expected to pay the price of a reasonable sized meal you have to wonder. Drinks prices were also very expensive I found and I actually got my wine in a Stella glass, which I was slightly amused about but it still looked ridiculous. The place was extremely busy and it was obviously that standards were slipping, as the place got more crowded. The location is however lovely, especially on a sunny evening but all in all I think I might give this place a miss in the future!

Rolys Bistro
7 Ballsbridge Terrace, Dublin, Ballsbridge, Dublin

This is an excellent eatery, great atmosphere and food to go along with it. All courses were delicious and reasonable priced. A little on d expensive side but you get what you pay for. I had the duck, which was wonderful, and my boyfriend had the prawns, which he thought were fantastic. Desserts were lovely as was the cheeseboard to follow and reasonably priced wine and beer finished off the evening nicely. Definitely will be back to this spot as staff were also very attentive and polite. A+
