Kafka (Dublin)
236 Lower Rathmines Road, Dublin 6, Rathmines, Dublin

Food was amazing! Bruchetta with the mushroom and goats cheese was unbelievable. Jamaican chicken was also amazing. But the brownie for desert was the best! massive portion. Gorgeous. No atmosphere though in the place, very cafe-ish. Not somewhere for a romantic meal.

Bistro Le Monde
Unit 2,, Harbour Sq, Crofton Rd, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Unbelievable value. 2 course lunch deal for 9.95e is fantastic. French onion soup was dilicious, and the Sicilian Chickrn for main was unreal. THe sauce is amazing. A sweet coconutty sauce with chilli. Rice gorgouse. And the pasty basket, i ate it all! Quick and friendly service. Great spot!

Bad Ass Cafe
Crown Alley, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Just awful! The food was terrible, Chicken wings are pathetic and a rip off. THe burger was nasty. Pasta dishes were just ok. Service - shocking! Had to keep asking the foreign waiters where the food was, kept forgetting drinks. Food was delayed, THey messed up our order. Worst of all, some horrible man and woman playing guitar and singing! We couldnt hear ourselves think. It would be grand if they were in any way decent, Just awful experience, and had heard good things about this place. Sad.

The Counter Dundrum
Pembroke District, (adjacent to the Mill Pond at Town Square), Dundrum, Dublin

Fantastic food! Went expecially for the chicken wings. They are th exact same as Elephant and Castle! Yet cheaper! Sweet potato fries are amazing. Place is small, and a bit cramped, but didnt matter. The only downfall was their tap water. Sweet divine it is horrendous!! Have to bring my own water the next time! Other than that, fantastic.

Camile Thai Dun Laoghaire
3 Georges Street Lower, Dun Laoghaire, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Best Thai around!! When the thai take away in dunlaoghaire closed down, we were very sad as there was no other replacement around! Then Camille popped up!! Food fresh and gorgeous! Expensive enough but so worth it!! Duck pad prik haeng, best dish on menu!!

The Hen House
The Pavilions, South Dublin, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Was not a happy hen after visisting The Hen House. Heard great things about it but it was very disappointing. Spicey chicken wings were awful. No flavour, just blew the head off me! Beetroot goats cheese salad, was very dull and boring. My sister had the pate. Was also not great. Place was cold. We ordered house white wine, the staff memeber says "Are you sure? We have been having complaints about it all week. Try it first." So we tried it. It wasnt great, but drinkable. I said, " if you are having so many complaints about it, change it! Was a bit crazy. Shall not be returning :(

Odells Bistro
49 Sandycove Road, Dublin 4, Sandycove, Dublin

This was the first time visiting Odles. It was recommended to us. Cannot believe I have never heard of it. It was absolutely fantastic! So unexpected! The early bird is great, not much to choose from without supplement but everything we had awas amazing! I had the fried brie for starters. On fresh pineapple! Gorgeous. Moroccan lamb meatballs for main, Unreal!! Toffee and biscuit ice cream!! Wow. Only thing is they need more desesrts! THere is only 3 or 4 :( We are heading back this weekend!

Emilias Ristorante
Clock Tower, Enniskerry, Wicklow

I have eaten here before and it was fantastic. I got a take awaay here a couple weeks ago and it was amazing!! THe calamares here is the best calamares ive ever had! They are so crispy and fresh, and the tub of aioli that comes with it...wow. THe pizzas are fantastic, but the seafood risotto is gorgeous!!! Great place. Cheap. Love it

Bunnyconnellan
Myrtleville, Crosshaven, Cork

Went here for dinner on saturday night. Place was busy but got a table no problem. Staff were very nice. They didnt have mussels which was dissappointing but i ordered the fish cakes, and they were probably the best fish cakes i have ever had! I also got hte surf'n'turf. Huge fillet! But i ordered medium rare, and got medium-well. Was so angry but didnt send it back because the staff were so nice. I should have thought as it was terrible. I only got 2 prawns, with no sauce. And 2 tiny crab claws, dry, no sauce. Main course dissapointing but the crab cakes were just amazing! Nice area too! Expensive Bill :/

The Port House Ibericos
5/6 Pembroke Cottage, Pembroke District, Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

I have been here 3 times now, and am goin again this week! Gorgeous place. Best things on menu: Prawns pil pil skewers, warm goats cheese salad, baked scallops, calamares, THe creme brulee for desert however, was quite disappointing, but everything else-fantastic!

O'Dowd's Seafood Bar and Restaurant
Roundstone, Connemara, Galway

I thought this place was great. Was buzzing! The crab claws were huge and gorgeous. The shepards pie was homemade and yum! Chowder was gorgeous too. Only bad thing between us was the mussels. I ordered the stuffed ones, but they didnt have any, so i ordered the normal ones in white wine sauce. I love mussels, but these were yuck! the taste of the 'sauce' was dreadful. And they were gritty. But everything else was great!! Lovely staff

Olivers Seafood Bar and Restaurant
Cleggan Clifden, Cleggan, Galway

The best crab i have ever had in my life!! Myself and my family, sadly went here 3 times in the week we stayed in clifden. But it was amazing! Open crabmeat sandwich, the plate was stuffed with the crabmeat, fresh just out of the sea!! Huge portion! And i also had the crab claws in garlic butter at same time - im a savage i know. Huge claws! Monsters. Beautiful. I have told amillion peopel about this place. Really small and quaint. In the harbour of Cleggan. Beautiful back drop of the mountains facing it.

profile_review

Guys Restaurant & Wine Bar
Main Street, Clifden, Galway

Awful experience. We had heard good things about this place, so were surprisingly shocked. The service was terribe. Once they served the food, they forgot about you, and was really hard to grab their attention as they were running around the place and behind the bar. The burger was like the dead cow was thrown onto a plate. The chicken wings were dry and tasteless, except the taste of the burnt bits! The seafood chowder was nice now in fairness. but that was the only decent thing we had between us. Will not be returning!

profile_review

Marconi Restaurant
Foyles Restaurant, Clifden, Galway

Was in clifden for a week, and went to Marconi's Twice. I had the mussels for starter, which came in a chilli and coconut broth. They were by far the best mussels i have ever had. The sauce is amazing, i drank all of it after finishing the mussels. I need to find that recipe! The fillet steak was great. I dont like red wine jus so i just had garlic butter and it was fab! Service is excellent. We had a 4 year old with us and they made him a kiddies meal before we all ate. Excellent place

profile_review

China Buffet King
Cinema Building, Dundrum Town Centre, Sandyford Road, Dundrum, Dublin

Excellent Place! the best chinese buffet ive ever been to. Food is fresh, and added to frequently. Staff are so nice. So cheap! Unbelievable for the money you pay. I cant wait to go back! I cant believe i didn't find this place sooner. Its hard to see it if you don't know about it. Brilliant pre-cinema dinner, or after. Was delighted.

profile_review

Purple Ocean Restaurant
St Michael's Pier, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Was very disappointed. Heard great reviews so was very excited. Restraunt was freezing cold. the menu deal was hilarious really, everything was a supplement, bar 3 or 4 things. advertises as 20e for a 3 course, but you have to add a quarter of that to order anything decent on the menu. However, the goats cheese tart was delicious. Everything else very mediochre. Was not a happy customer. Staff try too hard to be funny, was very cringe worthy. Wont be revisiting. :(

profile_review

The Port House
64a South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

What a great place! The atmosphere with the low key lighting is amazing! Staff so friendly, and the food was gorgeous! Only downfall was their house wine wasnt great! Cant wait to go back again!

profile_review

Miss Wong - Old
Ralph Square, Leixlip, Kildare

Went here for mother's day, was not impressed. Staff were not friendly, they didn't know what they were doing! We didn't get what we ordered, they kept forgetting to bring some dishes, took ages for the bill, and when it did come, there was nothing on it! Was just a disaster. And the food wasnt great either. And it was so expensive! Wont be visiting again :'(

Poppies (Dun Laoghaire)
70 Georges Street Upper, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

quite a busy place surprisingly, and it's not great. Thet serve microwavr rashers for the fry!! they're horrible! and it's not cheap either. The pancakes are very rubbery too. Service is slow. only ever seen one waitress working at a time. Tables are cramped together. Not a place for a catch-up with your mates!

profile_review

Harrys Cafe Bar
21 Upper George's Street, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Went here for lunch after a rough night out! The full breakfast is amazing! a bit steep in price but it is huge, and everything is fresh! no nasty microwavable rashers! And freshly squeezed orange, and a massive latte! was amazing! I was there a year ago, and it was awful. But is has completely changed. Am definately going back. The only thing they need to work on is waiting for the bill, that took a while. but is a minor detail.

profile_review

The East Village Bar Restaurant and Hotel
East Village, Douglas, Cork

was there with a friend, and had a great time! The waitress was dead on, and the food was gorgeous! I had the chicken wings and goats cheese for starters. which were so nice! And i had the fillet steak for main, which was huge!!! my friend got the steak on the rock, which was a great novelty! Really nice it was. didnt have desert but the cocktails were very very nice! wil be definately be going back!

Old Plaza Restaurant
Unit 20, 1st Floor, The Plaza, Swords, Dublin

Had luch here on friday afternoon, availed of the 'all you can eat' buffet, for €11.50!! Unbelievable deal! Theres about 7 different main course dishes which u can have as much as you want! And spring rolls, crispy chicken, ribs etc on the starters buffet! The food was gorgeous! they kept topping up the dishes with fresh hot food, which was great! all for 11.50! And the staff are great craic too, they are great with kids! they gave them lollypops and all! And ran around the restraunt with them while we were eating! Was excellent! will definately be back!

profile_review

B's Restaurant @ The Castle Hotel
Main Street, Macroom, Cork

Used to eat here a lot as i used to stay in the hotel a lot with business. The staff make this place. They are so nice and friendly, and would do anything for you. The duck salad is gorgeous! and so are the breaded mushrooms. The steak is fantastic! and it resonably priced! The atmosphere is so warming and cosy! A great hotel to stay in, and eat in!

profile_review

Joels Restaurant
Newlands Cross, Naas Road, West Dublin, Clondalkin, Dublin

I heard bad comments about this place, aso was reluctant to go, but howandever, i went. And it was quite good! I had the chicken wings for starters, which were lovely, but there was no dip! madness! Then has the king prawns in chilli and garlic. They were HUGE! not exagerating, they were massive, and lovely! id go back just for them! Atmosphere was crap. they put everyone in the windows, which made it look busy. lights are far far too bright!!! no music! But the prawns were only 16e for a huge bowl of them, so id definately go back!

profile_review

Bella Atina - Closed
The Mall Drogheda, Drogheda, Louth

Been here many times! fantastic place! i was out for a birthday celebration, and treated myself to the lobster linguini. Amazing! a whole half of lobster , was gorgeous! So tasty! All their pasta dishes are lovely. And the atmosphere is great! Very good place

profile_review

Puccinos
Douglas Shopping Centre, Douglas, Cork

The best cafe in ireland to go for a full irish brekkie! i go all the time! everything is gorgeous. staff are extremely nice, and the place is real quirky. i especially love the little comic quotes on the sugar sachets! :D LOVE IT!

profile_review

The Bay Leaf
Main Street, Douglas, Cork

I availed of the early bird offer. was expecting the food to be fantastic since it was a brand new restraunt and it had been quite busy. i had the black pudding and prawn salad for starters-recieved 2 tiny pieces of pudding, and ONE prawn!!! it was disgraceful. i am raging i didnt complain. . I mean, it was still tasty, but come on. 1 prawn. scandalous. I had the duck to follow. was cooked well, however, the red wine cabbage sauce it comes in tastes the exact same as mince pies for christmas! didnt go well with it. Desert was not great either. Definatley not going back here! However the staff were very nice. But that alone wont make me go back

Alexis Bar And Grill
17 / 18 Patrick Street, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Visited Alexis for my birthday this week, heard that it was very good.... Not really. Over rated. Serious lack of menus. I know it was a tuesday night, but the menu was terrible! it took us 20 minutes to pick something as it looked awful. Pumpkin rissotto? lambs liver? there was no steak on the earlybird. had to order from the a la carte. it was very nice, but it was the only thing that looked pleasing on the menu. They do not cater for people who want something simple. no 'normel' food as such. Worst thing was, they brought out the food far too quick. i had only put down my fork from starters, and i had my steak in front of me! big no no. was in and out in 45 mins, not nice when you want a nice relaxing dinner and drinks! Barely had time to chat

profile_review

Lamb Doyles
Blackglen Road, Sandyford, Dublin

I Have to say...it wasn't great. I was there for lunch on a sunday. 2 matches were showing, but that didn't bother me. The food is just a bit crap. The chicken wings were awful. The steak sandwich was practically all grizzle, which made my stomach churn! Breaded mushrooms were alright. And the caesar salad was a bit dead. The place is dated and a bit grubby. The only positive thing is that the staff were friendly and very helpful. I expected food to be a lot better as it's a well known spot. sad :(

profile_review

Victoria Asian Cuisine
5A The Cresent, South Co. Dublin , Monkstown, Dublin

This is definately one of the best restaurants around! ALL YOU CAN EAT!!!! only 25 yo yos! You really cant beat it. And its not like you get scabby portions, they are excellent! And if you want, they can make all your maincourse portions smaller, so you can have lots of different dishes, try them all out! Thats what i do all the time! An the staff are so sound and helpfull! Its such a good night out. And you dont feel greedy or bad havin the ALL YOU CAN EAT. They're so laid back, and dont care at all if you dont clear your plate!!!

profile_review

Ristorante Rinuccini Restaurant
No 1 The Parade, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

Ate here saturday with the girls, had to wait 45 minutes for table, as we did not book, but is was so worth it! Talk about fine dining! I had the mussels to start, which was a massive portion, was fantastic! Then i had the duck, absolutely gorgeous. The waiters were so friendly too, was a great night. Prices a bit high, but worth it for a fancy night out. Would definately go again, but would try the early bird

profile_review

Carlitos Restaurant
Main st, Dunleer, Dunleer, Louth

Gorgeous restaurant, food is fantastic! teh starters are really really nice. Staff very friendly, and teh joint is always buzzin! The waiting in the bar area for your table is great, because you can enjoy a drink and a chat, then sit at your table when food is ready!

Cornstore
40 Cornmarket Street, Cork City, Cork

I went late on Sunday evening, wasn't too many people ther, which i prefer. Service was quick. We availed of the Early bird which is all day sunday, €25 for 3 courses. Not enought to decide from, but i had prawns pil pil, which wasnt great. However my boyfriend had the goats cheese salad, which was amazing! And the rib-eye steak was gorgeous too, chips fantastic! They brought out our tea and coffee before our desert, which was a bit silly, but deserts were lovely. Id go again to try the mussels and lobster!!!!

Very nice food! I love Thai, and this is a great place. However, the take away is much better, as the atmosphere isnt great in the place. bit dead and quiet. But the food is amazing! Been there loads, but get even more take-aways. pad thai chicken is beautiful, or the sweet and sour chicken. the batter is so different to chinese, yum!

profile_review

TGI Friday (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

Well, the food is beautiful, especially the chicken wings and jack daniels steak, but the serrvice is terrible! Ive been there a good few times, and every time ive been sitting there ages waiting to order, and there is only about 10 people in the place, and about 15 waiters! What is the story! But the food is really good. Also, how annoying is are the waiters' attitudes. 'You're not american, get over it'!

profile_review

Pizza Hut (Dundrum)
Unit CSA, 2M Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

Food great, thats if htey have whaat you want. Many times they have no stuffed crust for the pizzas. The service is very slow. Depending on which waiters are there. Also the tables are so squashed together its rediculous. There is a larger area to the back, but they rarely seat anybody there. How and ever, the pizzas are gorgeous.
