53 Shelbourne Road, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin, Area Code: Dublin 4
Reviewed 02nd June 2011 ( visited 28th May 2011 )Was there for our friends surprise bday. This place is fantastic. The 2 and 3 course menu's are great value. The service is great, the staff are very attentive and the atmosphere is classical french. They have an open kitchen and you can see your food being cooked. The wine is fantastic. Everyone must try this place. Jeanseb Dublin.
La Mere Zou restaurant
22 St Stephens Green, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin, Area Code: Dublin 2
Reviewed 02nd August 2008 ( visited 25th July 2008 )Was in this restaurant two weeks ago and was looking forward to it but I was very disappointed. The staff were not very friendly. Ordered a main course and I got the wrong one. The bottle of wine myself and my boyfriend had was completely over priced. The only nice thing about the meal was the dessert. Was not very impressed. Would not go there again.
La Bodega Tapas y Vinos
93 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6 , Ranelagh, Dublin
It was one of our friends 50th bday party we ordered 3 dishes each and the food was excellent. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was good but it was very hard to have a conversatio as the place was a bit cramped. The wine was a bit expensive for what it was. I would go back again. JeanSeb Dublin.
Cortina’s Mexican Restaurant
The Pembroke District, Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin
Went there with my husband as we were having a craving for mexican food. We both got the tortilla's and a pitch of a cocktail. The food was very nice we were not hungry when we left. The service is very good and the atmosphere was very mexican with the music in the background. The staff were friendly and accomodating. Would go back again.
Bijou Bistro & Wine
46/47 Highfield Road, Dublin 6, Rathgar, Dublin
Went there by chance with my husband for a late lunch, Had the lamb dish and my husband had the chicken. The food was vey nice, pricey also. We had dessert after, I had the apple crumble and my husband had the brownie, very dissapointing. The apple crumble was way to sweet. The service was ok. Wine was ok. Atmsophere was not great. I dont know if I would go back.
109a Lower Baggot Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Myself and my husband went there for my birthday. We went for the 10 course menu including wine which was very nice. I was a bit disappointed in the service as some of the waiting staff were quite rude. One particular member of staff just threw the cutlery on the table and was not very polite. Another member of staff served me a portugese wine in the same glass that I had just finished a spanish wine.I had to ask for the glass to be replaced. Are the wine glasses not meant to be changed between each course!!!! The atmosphere was very elegant and the food and the wine was great but it was quite disappointing that they would have had more wine from the french region as it is a french restaurant. They served wines from all over the world instead. I think we must of had only 2 glasses of french wine for two of the courses. For all those french lovers of food out there I was quite suprised they did not serve a glass of sauterne with foie gras.... which is essential I think. They served a glass of sweet dessert wine instead!!! It was very expensive for what it was and I dont think I will go back there again.
17 Railway Road, South Co. Dublin, Dalkey, Dublin
Went there for a 1 yr wedding anniversary with friends. This place is fantastic. Food was great and the wine was good. Staff very friendly and accomodating. Service was great and the chef came out to meet us which was very nice. Would go back.
Nyonya Malaysian Restaurant
76 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I had a group coupan deal for this place. I was not impressed. The portions were a disgrace and myself and our friends came out of the restraunt still hungry. I had chicken wings for starters and I only got two. I thought the chef was having a joke and I will not start on the main course. The service was terrible, when we complained about our food the staff just said sorry and that was it!! The atmosphere was dead and the value for money, well thank god I was not paying any money for that as I would not have paid at all... Would not go back there again. Jeanseb Dublin.
23 Upper Pembroke Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Siam Thai (Dundrum)

Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin
I heard this place was great from alot of people in work so I wanted to know what all what Ananda was like. We reserved a table near the window which we requested which was perfect and we had are pre starter and Champagne. The 65 euro menu was really nice. Had the mixed platter and the korma dish which we fantastic but they have to work on the wine it was coming too fast and before I Knew it I had to full glasses of red and still had not finished my champagne.... They need to work on that technique a bit as I felt the food was just coming to fast and you no real break between your courses. The service was great, the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was really nice and relaxing. I will be back to try other dishes. Jeanseb Dublin.

Hanover Quay, Dublin 2 , Grand Canal Dock, Dublin
was there with some friends before the showing of "stamp". The service was very good, we told the waiter that we were on a time limit and that we needed to eat at a certain time. He kept to that time which was a great bonas and the food was very nice and the wine was also. Had a burger which was cooked to perfection and my husband had pork chops which were perfectly done to the way he likes them. Our friends had the burger and a salad which was huge. Service was excellent and the staff very friendly. Prices were reasonable but I found the place a bit too small. Will be back again. Jeanseb Dublin.
Yo Thai (Mount Merrion)
Kielys Of Mount Merrion, Deerpark Road, South Co. Dublin, Mount Merrion, Dublin
Was there with some friends and we went for the early bird menu which was great value. Everyone seemed happy with there choices but my main was tasteless, maybe I ordered the wrong thing but I thought roast duck cantonese style would be a bit more tastier. The sauce was practically water. the fried rice was tasteless also. My husband had the beef satay dish with noodles which he thought was not worth it either. The service was very good and the staff were very friendly. The place was clean and the atmosphere was nice. The dessert menu was just all ice creams, they could elabrate a bit on there dessert menu. I would give it a try again maybe ordering a different dish. Jean seb Dublin.
18 Suffolk Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Place is fantasic, food great, Service really good and friendly staff. Starter to share, 2 mains and 2 desserts and a bottle of wine for 63euro. The only downfall was the atmosphere but the pizza's are a must. Would definetly go back. Jeanseb dublin.
Gong Chinese Restaurant
8 Lower Kilmacud Road, South Dublin, Stillorgan, Dublin
Was there with my husband on wednesday for dinner, It was very quiet we were the only people in the place. Service was very good and staff very attentive. I had vegtable spring rolls for starters and my husband had a soup. The vegtable spring rolls could be worked on a bit as they were not very tasty. For main had beef in satay sauce and my husband had the duck. The sauce for the beef dish tasted very powdery and I was a bit disappointed with that. My husband was happy with his duck. Overall food was ok. Food very pricey for the dinner menu compared to the lunch menu. I would go back for the lunch menu again as the price is very good. Jeanseb Dublin.
6a Sandymount Green, Sandymount, Dublin
was there with some friends after the cricket match between oz and Ireland, needed some food after all those beers. My friend booked this restraunt as he loves his steaks and said this place was a great spot. We both had steaks with fries and a bottle of bordeaux. Steaks were ok, I asked for mine medium to rare and I recieved it rare which I was not too happy about but my friend recieved his steak to perfection. Was waiting an extra half an hour for my steak to arrive the second time. There was no apology either. Wine very nice. Staff ok, could be a bit more efficient as we were waiting half an hour also for our bill to arrive. atmosphere could be improved. Food a little over priced for what you get. Would not go back unfortunetely. Jeanseb Dublin.
10 Lower Kilmacud Road, SET MENU ALL NIGHT MONDAY TO FRIDAY, Stillorgan, Dublin
My fiance surprised me for my birthday and brought me to this restraunt, we were meaning to try it for ages and I heard it got very good reviews. Had brucettia to share, very nice and my fiance got a pizza and I got a pasta dish which was very filling. The portions are a good size which is great. Had bottle of pinot griot which was ok, wine is over priced a bit I think. Staff very friendly, efficient and the atmposphere was very nice. Would be back again, Jean Seb Dublin
4 Kilmacud Road Lower, Stillorgan, Dublin
As we were not in the humour of cooking dinner on a sunday, we went to Gothum. We both live in the area but we never tried it before. Had the gucomoley for starters to share which was tasty and we both created our own pizza's for the main. The Pizza's were very nice but we asked for chilli oil but you could not really taste the chilly in the oil at all which was a bit disappointing and a bottle of house white. Wine I think was a bit over priced and the wine was ok. Everything came to 45euro for two people which was very good value. Atmosphere was different a bit of a funky vibe to it which was very nice and the staff were friendly and efficient. Would go back jeanseb Dublin
Milano (Temple Bar)
19 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
Was there sat nite with friends. the pizza was very nice, the pinot grigo lovely. the desserts could be improved a little. atmosphere was very noisy as there was a couple of birthday parties going on so you could not hear yourself talk. We were sitting down stairs and the tables were a bit cluttered. staff friendly and the value for money you cant go wrong. jean seb dublin
6-7 Jervis Street, Millennium Walkway, Dublin 1, City Centre, Italian Quarter, Dublin
was there with some friends for a georgous sunday lunch. never eaten around that area before but i would recommend the italian quarter. Had duck with noodles and the wine was great. My friends had other noodle dishes and there was no complaints at all expect the portions could be a bit bigger. Service was great, staff were very offcient and friendly and the value for money was good as well. nice way to finish off a sunday. jean seb dublin
The Leopardstown Inn
Brewery Road, Stillorgan, Dublin
went for lunch with my brother and dad. had very nice food, service could be better as they made a mistake with the order. Very pleased with the overall results, the desserts are very nice. Staff are friendly and the value of the food could be a bit cheaper. Would go back if I was in the area again. Jeanseb Dublin
Beaufield Mews Restaurant
Woodlands Avenue, Dublin 18 , Stillorgan, Dublin
was there for a special occasion, my friends brothers wedding. had the lamb dish which was beautiful and the starter of caesar salad was very nice. The food did not cost us anything but the wine was awful, Had some red wine from chile which gave me a serious headache the next day. service was great. staff very friendly and attentive. jeanseb dublin
The Stillorgan Orchard
1 The Hill, Stillorgan, Stillorgan, Dublin
was there with my fiance on Thurs nite. Place is cosy but can be quiet cold if you are sitting against a window. Had the buritos( beef ones) which was a bit disappointing. They tasted more like chilli con carne in a wrap which was quiet expensive for the small portion i got. My fiance had the chicken curry which he thought was very nice. Try a glass of the french beaujolis wine, very nice. Overall it was ok, I tried it but I would not eat there again but it is nice for a relaxing social drink with friends/family. Jeanseb dublin
Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK Temple Bar)
Unit 1, Temple Bar Square, Dublin 2 , Temple Bar, Dublin
after a hard afternoon shopping myself and my best buddy decided to treat ourselves, we heard it was a great place so we decided to give it a go. you cant go wrong with this place, a huge for 5 euro.... it was the best burger i ever tasted and they had a great combination of sauces on the side and with the burger. please try the onion rings there are fab. the staff are friendly and the only down fall was the atmosphere, it was not cosy and there was a draft coming from the window at the table we were at. the milkshakes were ok, i got choclate and tasted more like coffee. other than that if you want a great burger i would highly recommend it. I will be back jeanseb dublin
Jardine House, Sandyford Village Centre, Sandyford, Dublin

Barista's Cafe and Wine Bar
Unit B2, The Forum, Ballymoss Rd, Sandyford, Dublin
Myself and my brother went in there for a late lunch. We both had the menu for 15 euro which included a starter and main course. We both got the spring rolls and chicken korma. The waiter that took our order got some what mixed up with the order and thought that we wanted a starter to share instead of two seperate starters which was a bit disappointing. But overall we were very happy with the starters but when we got to the main course it tasted more like a chicken curry than a chicken korma. We got two glasses of wine which were very reasonable priced and the second glass was free due to the mix up from the waiter. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed even though the restraunt closed early on Saturdays we were not rushed to have our food. Staff were friendly. would recommend this place and I would go back again but for another main course. jean seb dublin
Elephant & Castle
18/19 Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
My self and my fiance had both the burgers, the burgers were not great especially the house burger and the chips were too salty. Had a stout which was not great either and the food was too over priced for what it was. We had to ask 3 times for the bill and the waiter kept our change as a tip which we were not too impressed about. We had to ask for our change back. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was ok. Jean seb Dublin
The Mill House
Lower Kilmacud Road, Stillorgan, Dublin
The atmosphere is good in this pub. Was there for carvery at lunch time and the food I got was very nice at a reasonable price. The staff were friendly but the service was not wonderful, I found it very hard to get the waiting staff's attention. overall a nice spot. jean seb dublin
BRASS Bar & Grill
Talbot Hotel Stillorgan, Stillorgan Road, South Dublin, Stillorgan, Dublin
was there last nite with my fiance and as we live locally so we thought we would go and they did a special offer for a two course meal. As soon as i walked in i was not too impressed, the atmosphere was very dull and the table we were given had stain's on there chairs. I ordered the goat cheese salad for starters and after the sea bass. My fiance ordered the salmon for starters and lamb for main course. The waiter gave us a complementary starters which was very nice but placed it on top of the bread basket and not the table..... I did not think that was very good table service. When we got our starters they looked appetising but i was given two different cheese's on my starter when they were supposed to be goats cheese, the sauces were terrible and the salad was even worse. It had to of been the worst starter i ever tasted. The salmon was ok but nothing outstanding. The sea bass was very nice and so was the lamb and the white wine we ordered was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive. I do not think i would go back there again. I think it was a waste to pay 25 euro for a two course meal when only one course was nice. jeanseb dublin
The Millenium Tower, Charlotte Quay, Ringsend, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin
myself and my fiance were there for a sunday lunch to meet up with friends. the service was very good and the staff very friendly. had the mussels dish which was ok, usually you would get chips at no extra charge with this dish but we had to order them seperately which we were quiet surprised about as mussels would not really fill up up as i was still hungry after the lunch. my fiance had the same and we also got bread on the side which we were charged for also. our two friends had the omellete and the special which they thought were very nice and had no complaints. The house white chardonanny was very nice but very expensive a glass 6.00euro. over all it was ok, i have tried it and i would go back but i would just order something else. jeanseb dublin
Il Fornaio Restaurant (IFSC)
1B Valenta House, Custom House Square, Dublin 1, City Centre, IFSC, Dublin
this restraunt looked very cramped inside but we were lucky to get a table outside as the weather was georgous. had pizza dublino and my fiance had a similiar one with egg which was very nice. the wine was ok but too overpriced but overall a bit expensive. the service was very good. would go back if i was around the area. jeanseb dublin
Dunne And Crescenzi (Sandymount)
11 Seafort Avenue, Dublin 4, Sandymount, Dublin
was there with my fiance and friend after the gran slam. disappointing, food was ok, had the duck with some potatoes, was not very nice and starter was not great. great selection of wine but completely overpriced. the bottle we got was a ridicolous price and was not even nice and they charged 3,00 for bread which was a disgrace. would not recommend this restraunt sorry jeanseb, dublin

Port House Pintxo
12 Eustace Street, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin
was there for a department nite out from work. ordered some dishes but the food that was given could of been larger portions. food was nothing spectacular. i has booked a table for four and the table was so small you could not fit every one around it. the gothic look for the toilet is terrible you can not see a thing down there. some of the dishes were a bit expensive. very dissapointing jean seb dublin

Diwali Indian Restaurant
Unit 1, Castle House, South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
was there last nite with some friends and my fiance. Atmosphere was not great, the restraunt is very small and we got a table for 4 people and we had to move as the 4th person had no room to move in and out. we got a table beside the toilets which was not great. had onion bajsis for starter which was terrible very greasy, dont order these at all but the main made up for it which was lamb rogan josh. Had pesweri naan which was a bit disappointing as there was marizpan in it and i thought it was only meant to be currants and coconut....... the desserts were very disappointing, they were all frozen. regarding service, very bad, my fiance had to go to a waiter and ask for the bill and there is alot of confusion with the christmas menu as they do not explain there choces properly. overall very poor indian would not go there again. jeanseb, dublin
Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin
was there last night for our friends leaving party. was sitting upstairs and we had a perfect seating arrangement which i asked for which was nice. Service staff very attentive but felt like we were being rushed out of the restaurant as soon as we finished our starter, our main came out there was no time in between to digest what we previously had. Ordered starter and they gave me the wrong one and when ordering my pizza, i asked could i create my own veggie pizza and they still got it wrong even though the waiter took the toppings down....... my pizza had to be sent back. very surprised how they had no sweetcorn or pineapple available as toppings. The dessert was awful, the chef needs a lesson on how to make banoffee pie as it was the worst i ever tasted. When we ordered our first round of drinks, two bottles of wine were not available on the menu that we had chosen so we had to choose a really bad rose. Found the bill very expensive for 6 people, i know it belongs to a chain of restaurants but i would never go back to Milano's again.
94-96 Terenure Road, Dublin 6 , Terenure, Dublin
went to this restaurant with my boyfriend two months ago. atmosphere very nice, staff very attentive, quality of food was very nice but a little over priced, also the wine was over priced too. You would not leave the place hungry, definitely worth a go, June, Dublin

Milano (Dawson Street)
38 Dawson Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin
was there for lunch today with a friend. ordered a pasta dish. not very nice, some bits were luke warm and other bits were hot, i honestly think this dish was stuck in a microwave... it was terrible. The garlic bread on the side was nice. some dishes were completely over priced. the rate should be 3 star not two star on menu pages. the staff were ok. Very hard to have a conversation as it was very noisy. Stay away from this place. june, dublin.
103 Terenure Road East, Dublin 6, Terenure, Dublin
Went here for lunch on two occasions. Food is delicious. Myself and boyfriend had spaghetti carbonara, high portions and the bread was always fresh when we got it. The desserts are a decent size, try tiramisu, I would recommend it. The Italian house white very nice and crispy. Staff were a little abrupt at times but the service was excellent. would go back.

22 St Stephens Green, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin
Was in this restaurant two weeks ago and was looking forward to it but I was very disappointed. The staff were not very friendly. Ordered a main course and I got the wrong one. 36 The Quay Waterford, Waterford City, Waterford
I was there on Wednesday with my brother for a late lunch. I was very impressed with the atmosphere. The seating arrangements were very comfortable. The food was gorgeous and my brother being a coffee lover said he never tasted a nicer cappacino. Was not charged for glass of wine with meal either. The value and quality excellent and staff very friendly. highly recommended
Les Freres Jacques
74 Dame Street, Dublin City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
What can I say, this restaurant is one of the best French restaurants in city centre. Have no fault with it. If I brought my boyfriend's French mother, she would have a heart attack with the price of the food, but it would be well worth it for quality French food.
192 Lower Rathmines Road, Rathmines, Dublin
Was there with my brother on more then one occasion for lunch. The quality of the food was not very good. My brother asked for a toasted sandwich on brown and he got a white sandwich non toasted. the coffee's and hot chocolate's are worth trying. The service is not great, we had to ask for our plates to be taken away and we were waiting 35 minutes for 2 toasted sandwiches on one particular occasion. The staff are friendly but i would go there just for the hot chocolate.
92 Terenure Road North, Dublin 6W, Terenure, Dublin
Was there with a couple of friends last month. We had to ask for a waiter to serve us a drink before the meal as we were waiting at the table for 15 minutes and no waiter came over to us in that space of time. Food was not very good. The service was not great. the atmosphere of the restraunt was poor. would not go there again.
81 Terenure Road North, South Dublin, Terenure, Dublin
I was there for dinner with my boyfriend. As soon as we walked in they took our coats. We had a table infront of the door so it was a bit breezy. The restaurant is a bit small and the toilets were in a terrible state. The food was not great but the wine we had was nice and they have some interesting desserts (real Italian). Some dishes were reasonabley priced. Overall it was ok.
The Yellow House
1 Willbrook Road, Rathfarnham, Rathfarnham, Dublin
Very nice restaurant, food ok but the atmosphere and service is not that great. I have been in the restaurant a couple of times with my boyfriend, whenever we got a table there was always a cold breeze coming from somewhere. Could recommend the food in the pub downstairs and have a chat to the staff while you're there.
