Lovely staff, excellent menu and delightful surroundings. A must visit in Dun Laoghaire.

Salamanca
1 St Andrews Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Great menu and great staff. It was a busy Saturday night before Christmas. There were Christmas parties, groups of shoppers and groups of rugby supports all enjoying the delights of a first class menu and service. Well done to all the staff.

Chez Max (Palace Street)
1 Palace Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Happy Father’s Day. Thank you all so much for helping me celebrate Father’s Day with my wonderful Dad. From the moment we arrived, to paying our bill the service, staff and food were excellent. We sat in the courtyard at the back. It was quiet, cosy and really added to our experience. The menu is delicious, the decor reminiscent of a French Bistro and the wine menu has a little of everything to choose from. If you want a truly French experience in Dublin then try this delightful restaurant out.

Le Bon Crubeen
81-82 Talbot Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

What an amazing experience! I booked here for my Dad's birthday. We were early, so the waiter suggested we have a drink in The Celt pub next door and he would come and get us. The pub was quaint and really inviting. Once the waiter came to guide us to our table our real experience began. The decor is tasteful, the lightening low enough to be intimate and the jazz playing in the back ground really lends to the overall atmosphere. The menu is enticing and I had the Crubeen cakes to start. They were tasty and beautifully presented. For main I had the steak which was prepared to perfection. And then finally the lemon posset! Delicious, tangy and served with warm home-made shortbread biscuits. A truly fantastic end to a delicious meal and experience.

Andersons Creperie
1A Carlingford Road, Drumcondra, Drumcondra, Dublin

I love this place. The crepes are delicious with a great choice of toppings. Everything is freshly made and of very high quality. The service is friendly and efficient. The interior is light and airy and extremely clean. I visit every couple of weeks and have yet to have a bad meal or be disappointed with the selection on offer. I highly recommend Andersons.

Zaragoza
South William St., Dublin , South William Street, Dublin

The restaurant is a favourite of ours. Sunday tapas and some really cool jazz are on offer. The set menu is great value but the price has increased €2 over the past 2 weeks. Still same selection, and still great service, but strange that other items on the menu have not changed price.

Farm Restaurant (Leeson St)
133 Upper Leeson St, Dublin 4, City Centre South, Dublin

Wow, what a great find. We had the set menu for 33 euros. Great selection, great tasting food and great service. There were 5 in our party and each of us had the best tasting and value for money meal in a long time. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Bach 16
16 Bachelors Walk, City Centre North, Dublin

No reservation was not a problem. The staff accommodated us and made us feel so welcome. We had the prawns and salad for starter. Then we had a pizza each and they were delicious. The staff were attentive and so full of character that it was hard to leave and head out into the cold. This is a little gem of a restaurant and we will be back again.

The Gallery Restaurant at the Church
Junction of Mary St. & Jervis St., Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

We dropped in after the American Football game in Croke Park. We had no reservation but the nice server organised a table for us. I have never eaten upstairs and was delighted with the table we were offered. The ambience and the interior are fantastic. We had the early bird menu and the selection was really extensive. I had the smoke chicken Orzo, followed by the beef and Guinness. Both were delicious and packed with flavours. I will be back to check out the full evening menu at another time.

Oscar Taylor Restaurant
Island View Hotel, Coast Road, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

What can I say about the best restaurant in Dublin: The menu is extensive, the atmosphere delightful and the staff knowledgeable. I have eaten here on many occasions and have never had a bad meal or experience. Oscar Taylor can cater for a quiet intimate meal and yet manage to accommodate large boisterous parties. I love coming backing to this charming restaurant with its New England style interior and the most reasonable priced menu in town. A gem to be shared with others.

Matt The Thresher Seafood Bar and Grill
31/31 Lower Pembroke Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We popped in on St. Patricks Day with no reservation, but a nice waiter offered us a table if we would wait 5 minutes. We were glad we waited. The seafood chowder was delicious. It came with two slices of thick brown bread. Divine. After filling up on the starter I found it difficult to finish my very generous fish and chips main course. Food and service were fantastic. Very pleased with our spur-of-the-moment choice and we will return for their delicious looking desserts on another occasion.

Red Torch Ginger
14/ 15 Andrew Street , Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I love Red Torch Ginger and have eaten here on many occasions. The restaurant is superbly decorated and yet their toilets let them down. Please sort this out as it is very off-putting to your diners.

Le Bon Crubeen

Exceptional restaurant with top notch food and service. From the moment we arrived, to the payment of our bill everything was done with such style, class and attention to detail. We were a group of 8 and each and every person was happy with their food and the service we received from such professional staff. The toilets were immaculate all night long and the cleanliness of the restaurant was the best I have seen in a long time. Thank you for making our St. Patricks weekend dinner such a relaxed and enjoyable event.

The Chili Club
Anne's Lane, South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We eat here on a regular basis and have never been disappointed with the food and service. We visited last Saturday and the food was delicious and well presented as always. We choose the specials menu, €22 for 4 courses. The choices were great and the portions were very generous. The whole experience was very good with the service excellent and the atmosphere very chilled. The restaurant is lovely but small and the toilets are clean and well stocked. A lovely dining experience and we will return again..

The Market Bar
Fade Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Great place for an after dinner drink and some finger food! We went here after work. The place was busy, but not full. Great atmosphere and a great diverse clientele. We ordered some tapas and they were delicious and tasty. We have a number of Spanish staff working with us and they were impressed with the quality of the tapas. Keep up the good work.

Bewley's Café
Grafton Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Great value and even better service. I was here last Saturday night with 3 friends. The menu had changed from the last time I ate here, and I was pleasantly surprised by the new items on the menu. The selection was wide and everyone choose something different from the menu. Each dish was well presented and each dish was delicious. Our waitress was very efficient and had a great rapour with all the diners. I highly recommend Bewley's Cafe and of course the beautiful stained glass windows really add a touch of class to the restaurant.

Milano (Dawson Street)
38 Dawson Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Great food, great service and great fun. I was in Milano's Dawson Street with two work colleagues. They had never visited before and were really impressed with our night. Our server was knowledgeable, personable and full of life. She made it a pleasure to be in Milano's. Our choices of pizzas were flavoursome and well presented. The wine was reasonably priced and very drinkable. Both colleagues will return and will spread the word about this great gem. Keep up the good work.

Oscar Taylor Restaurant
Island View Hotel, Coast Road, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

My family love Oscar Taylors. We have been there on many occasions and last night brought some new converts with us. They were impressed with the location, the decor and the atmosphere. But, most of all they were impressed with the food, the service and the value for money. Keep up the good work.

Eden
Meeting House Square, Temple Bar, Dublin

I had lunch here with some friends last Saturday. The service was excellent and the staff were so friendly. On arrival they asked if we were there for a special occasion. On hearing that it was one of our parties birthday the server asked if we would like something special arranged to celebrate the birthday. Eden offered to present our diner with a dessert and candle. It was a lovely touch to finish a beautiful meal. Thanks to all in Eden for making our lunch meal special. I will be back to sample the evening menu as the lunch menu was inventive and great value.

Castello Bruno
Main Street, Castleknock Village, Dublin 15, Castleknock, Dublin

I was here last Wednesday with a bunch of friends. I had read the other reviews and was worried that this would be a terrible visit. I was totally surprised and delighted that this was wrong. The staff was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The food was excellent and there was a sale on with all pasta and pizzas cost €10.00. The food was excellent; the place was full and the atmosphere full of buzz. We were thrilled with our night and, it proves, sometimes reviews are wrong!

Tritonville Bar & Terrace
Sandymount Hotel, Herbert Road, Lansdowne Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin

Don't have the fish. A party of four ate here on Saturday before the Leinster V Munster rugby match. The restaurant was busy but not full. We all ordered the fish from the early bird menu. Too much batter and not enough fish was the general comment. All the fish were over cooked and there was very little fish inside the batter. The chips were cooked to perfection and so were the starters. Such a small thing to get wrong, but it really affected the whole meal. I won't be eating here again any time soon.

Trocadero
St Andrew Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Ate there last night with a bunch of friends. We had the pre-theatre menu. Fantastic value and a great selection of food on the menu. Everyone found dishes to their taste. Service was excellent and friendly. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. And the best part was the price! Great venue, great service and excellent value. I will be eating here again very soon.

Pearl Brasserie
20 Merrion Street Upper, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I booked our Christmas party dinner here. The food was excellent, and the service was superb. The restaurant is well appointed with lots of private tables, so a noisy bunch of people do not spoilt the atmosphere for everyone. The staff are wonderful and I will definitely be booking this restaurant again. Overall a fantastic night with great food and wine.
