Very disappointed with this restaurant. Hadnt eaten in here in years but when I was here it was amazing. Waitress was very rude to me and my friends on a number of times. I ordered the steak ciabetta, but only had 1 slices of bread, so more of an open sandwich than anything. Steak was cold. Waitress was caught by a number of my friends talking about us and giving out. Definitely wont be back

The Saddle Room @ The Shelbourne
The Shelbourne Hotel, 27 St Stephen's Green, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

I was brought here for my birthday and my god, it was delicious. I had never really heard anyone talk about the food in there before but the menu is brilliant. I had salmon and crab for starter which was gorgeous and then we got the Chateau Briand for 2 people to share and oh my god, one of the nicest pieces of beef I have ever eaten in my life. Service was excellent. Food was superb. Definitely will be back

Shanahan’s on the Green
119 St. Stephens Green, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin

I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday meal and we chose the early bird - 3 courses plus petit fours, and tea/coffee for 45 each. It was absolutely gorgeous. One of the nicest meals, of not the nicest meal we both have ever eaten. The steak was cooked to perfection for both of us and the crispy onion strips which accompany the early bird are to die for. We were also treated to a glass of champagne to toast his birthday. The staff are amazing too. Already trying to figure out another special occasion to go back. Well worth it

East
The Spencer hotel, Excise Walk, IFSC , IFSC, Dublin

I went here recently during lunch and it was ok. Service was very fast for lunch but I ordered the chicken chow mein, which was chicken in a crispy bread crumb, lots and lots of noodles and very little veg. The chicken had some, what tasted like, shop bought sweet chilli sauce poured over it sparingly, so there was no sauce for the noodles. Very bland

Frankies Italian Bar and Grill
42 Temple Bar Square, Temple Bar, Dublin

I ate here on Friday and it was awful. I ordered the crab cakes and I think they were battered and deep fried - whatever was on the outside wasnt just flour which made the consistancy chewy. Not like any other type of crabcake I have had in other restaurants. Mains I got spagetti and meatballs which again was awful. Everything tasted like it came from a packet, premade. The meatballs were white, so they werent even fried firstly. The sauce had no veg visable and tasted like the sauce from a tin of spagetti hoops. My boyfriend got a steak with with a €5 suppliement - which I think covered the amount of fat and grizzle he got, nearly half the steak was inedible. The staff were nice but the food was disgusting. Eighty euros wasted. Never again.

The Port House
64a South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here for lunch on Saturday with my sister. We ordered 4 tapas to share, which was plenty; Patas Bravas, Skewered Chicken in lemon and garlic, chicken paella and crabs claws. Eveyrhting was gorgeous except for the crab claws. A lot of them were very small and very dry. The meat was hard to get off them, so was disappointed in that. But otherwise it was a gorgeous mean for €20! score

Jo'Burger
137 Rathmines Road, Dublin 6 , South Dublin, Rathmines, Dublin

First time going to Jo Burger was after work, I was tired, hungry and just wanted some food. We were seated on one of the benches (after bumping and hitting off everyone on our row since there isnt much room to get by) right by the DJ booth...the music was SO loud for 7pm, literally could not hear myself or my bf talk what so ever. We were seated, given a menu, then about 2 minutes later people were seated beside us, given menus, their drink order was taken, they were given their drinks and their food order was taken. I was not impressed. Food came and it was grand, nothing special. Bill came, paid, and then the ordeal of trying to get up and hit the least amout of people on their back on the way out. Once out, i went to put on my coat and the whole back of my coat and the arms were covered in chalk. Doubt I'll be going back. Too many nicer places in Dublin to go to

Ate here for a quick lunch on saturday. Ordered the 12 inch bbq chicken pizza with a drink each. Fast service and tasty food.

Bewley's Café
Grafton Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Its been years since i have been here. Its no longer, grab your tray and go to the counter for meat, potato and veg and find your seat. You are now seated by someone and given a menu. Lovely atmosphere in here. Have had the bruschetta for lunch and its gorgeous, and their chocolate cake is very tasty too. YUM! look forward to going back!

Wrights Cafe Bar
The Plaza, Swords, Swords, Dublin

Ok place for pub grub. Inside is really nicely decorated. Ordered the baby back ribs, chips and a platter to share for two. The platter came with no side plates to be used, so it meant getting up and finding the waitress as she was no where to be seen. Small things like that annoy me. The brie parcels as part of the platter were cold but everything else was hot and tasty. Ribs were very soft. Grand food for a quick bite. Nothing fancy.

Ciao Bella Roma
24/25 Parliament Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Went here for the early bird before going to a gig. Amazing value. Starter/Side & Pizza/Pasta & small glass of wine for 8.95! What more could you ask for. I ordered the bruschetta for starter and it was gorgeous. Really tasty. Main i ordered a mushroom pizza which was huge, thin and crispy and tasty. Couldnt eat it all. Wine was really tasty too. Looking forward to going back. Not many bargains like this in Dublin

The Boxty House
20-21 Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

i love this restaurant. Last time I was here was on a very cold, miserable day in january and I ordered a bowl of the beef stew. Huge portion and proper comfort food. The corned beef, cabbage and potatoes with parsley sauce is gorgeous, as is their chocolate cake. The staff are always friendly and willing to help. Already trying to organise when I can go again. Love it

One Pico Restaurant
5-6 Molesworth Place, Schoolhouse Lane, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Gorgeous restaurant. Went here for a christmas treat and Im glad I did. To read, the menu for me sounded way too fancy but the food was gorgeous, presented so well too. I had a crab salad to start with which was gorgeous and the fillet beef for mains and it was like cutting into butter. I cant wait for another special occasion so I can go back!

profile_review

Koh
6-7 Jervis Street, Millennium Walkway, Dublin 1, City Centre, Italian Quarter, Dublin

Went here for early bird, 19.50 for 2 courses, but anything I wanted had an extra few euros on top of it which was annoying. Place was empty but service was fast and food was gorgeous. Really like the place. Decorated gorgeous. Highly recommend!

Govindas Restaurant (Abbey Street)
83 Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Dublin

First visit here, last visit here. The place felt very old, not very welcoming. Food was under heat lamps. I asked for a medium plate of everything as I didnt know what anything was. Sat down and nothing was tasty. IT was all very plain. Numerous flies were flying around which also put me off my food. No ceiling, so you could see the dirty pipes. All I could see were the few dishes under the heat lamps - not some things what were on the menu on here such as samosas, springrolls, veggie burgers, which i would have loved instead of the things I was eating. Not my type of place what so ever. Staff were friendly though.

Noble House - Malahide Rd
Northern Cross, Malahide Road, Malahide, Dublin

Ate here as part of their early bird. Everything ont he menu was part of the early bird, prawns and duck were an additional charge for mains. Inside was grogeous. Had the curry parcels for starter - gorgeous, I could have eaten 2 portions they were that nice. Sweet and sour chicken for mains which was very tasty. Service was fast, restaurant was clean. Cant wait to go back

profile_review

TriBeCa

The Church Cafe Bar & Restaurant
Junction of Mary St. & Jervis St., Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Picked to go here as I had a 2 for 1 voucher. I had the bacon, cabage and potatos, which was fine. Could easily make nicer at home. My friend had the stew which she said was nice too. Near impossible to get a waiters attentiont o try and order dessert which was fine too. Happy with the value, as I had a main meal for free, but wouldnt be going back in a hurry.

Thunder Road Cafe
Fleet Street, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

Went here for some after work food. Wanted to be healthy so I had a chinese chicken salad. The chicken was stone cold, god knows how long it was in the fridge for, and there was lots of grizzel on it too, which turned my stomach. My friend had chicken wings, which were quite tasty, and a burger, nothing special.

Toscana City Centre
3 Cork Hill, Dame Street (opposite Dublin Castle), Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

I booked here using Menupages and using my 1500 points for a free bottle of wine. We all went for the early bird which was a starter and main for 17.95. All the courses were HUGE!! and extremely tasty. The staff were very helpful and courteous and didnt try and rush us out of the restaurant, we were there about two hours or so. Gorgeous food, great atmosphere, great service and worked about brilliantly with a free bottle of wine. Would recommend!!

profile_review

Odessa
13 Dame Court, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here recently with 3 friends. Really nice decor inside and staff were friendly too. Nothing really stood out to me for starters, so I just ordered the breast of chicken. Mains took a good 45 mins to come out, which was very slow, but which also meant I was nearly drunk after a few glasses of wine on an empty stomach. Chicken was lovely though. Gorgeous potatos with it. Dont know if I would go back in a hurry though.

Jimmy Chungs
Eden Quay, City Centre North, Dublin

I have been here a few times now and not once have i been let down. you need to be very hungry to make the most of it but every time i went the food was very hot. Always hated buffet food as its tastless and warm and soggy, not the case. the staff is constantly going around checking the temperature and mixing it around. starters are my favourite with the sides, noodles, different rice and chips. Very good value. great place to go if you are on a budget!!

Kudos Restaurant (IFSC)
Clarion Hotel Dublin, IFSC, City Centre North, Dublin

Went to the bar, not the restaurant part, different buildings. Took a while to realise that! Food was gorgeous but service was ok. Drinks came and we were asked if we wanted glasses... took our food orders and they asked if we wanted our starters first!?!?! also, plates were taken away when two of us were still eating. I had the duck spring rolls and chilli chicken chow mein. the duck spring rolls were more like vegetable spring rolls, very little duck. chow mein was tasty. would go again

Milano (Grand Canal Harbour)
Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

Grand place. Nice pizzas, nothing special. They dont for some reason do have bookings for two people, only parties from 6 and over which is a bit strange. Have been here twice. 1st time i had a chicken salad with balsamic vingear and veg, and i couldnt find much chicken in it at all. 2nd time i had a pizza with garlic bread and the bread was cold and didnt taste of much garlic. better places out there

ely gastro bar
Grand Canal Square, (Next to the Bord Gais Energy Theatre), Dublin 2, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

ZERO STARS. Very poor. Havent been here in while and saw they had the steak sandwich back on the menu so was delighted...It was half the size as the old one they used to have, and freezing cold. chips were ok. my friend had potato and leek soup that was bright green and disgusting, she couldnt eat it. Service was SO bad trying to get the bill and wait for change, restaurant was mostly empty. will definitely not be going here again.

OKA Restaurant
Northwood Demense, North Dublin, Santry, Dublin

Great atmosphere and lovely staff. Went for a special occassion dinner and the staff were so helpful. We ordered ribs and springrolls followed by sweet and sour chicken and it was gorgeous. i like how the waiters ask after your starter when you would like your mains, so you get time to digest your food and make way for the next part. Portions are HUGE and well worth it.

profile_review

Seabank Bistro
Coast Road, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

It was tasty and the chips were good too but I don't think it was worth the money. Very expensive. All main courses on the Specials board were 26.95 except for the burger which was 18.95, which is want I had.Atmosphere and wait staff great!! Good to go for a special occasion.

profile_review

Mulino's
23 Watermill road, North Dublin, Dublin 5, Raheny, Dublin

Not impressed at all. I just back back from eating there and I will not be recommending anyone to go to try their food, which is such a pity because the restaurant itself is gorgeous and they have great wait staff. Once our drinks came, also came a basket of bread, which was a huge basket and two slices of bread. Very stingy. I ordered the minestrone soup and my friend ordered the pinapple and prawns for starter. The soup was so bland, didnt taste of tomatoes or anything at all and it had so pasta in it either. i scouped out 4 spoonfuls of broth and left the rest. My friends prawn dish wasnt any better either. The presentation left a lot to be desired for. it did not look appetising at all. For mains I asked if they did spag bol, which wasnt on the menu, which is a little odd for an italian restaurant but i was told they would cook it for me. GREAT!!! or so i thought. it came out and there was no sauce sticking to the pasta, it was that watery!!! i tasted it and it was horrible, i couldnt put my finger on what it was i was tasting. my friend had a bite and she said it was just full of garlic, which is what it was. It was vile. i had a few sponfuls and pushed it to one side. i didnt want to say it to the staff since i didnt think anything else would have been appetising either. my friends dish was very unsuccessful too. we didnt even look at the dessert menu as there was no point at this stage. Finale tho was when the waiter at a table near us, tripped over a scooter that a customer left out, red wine went flying, all over a customer, on other tables and the glass smashed to the floor. they could do so much better in this restaurant. Definitely they need to change their chefs. any type of restaurant in this location would be booming, but this one wont be for long

The Upper Deck duplicate

They do the hotest hot sauce ever!! if you like spice, ask them for it, and watch the waiter shake their head as they note it down.Burgers and chips are quite plain but everything else amazing. Enjoy!

Farm Restaurant (Dawson Street)
3 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

Had been a couple of years since i was here last, got a great voucher online so decided to give it another go. Glad i did. The service has gotten SO much better. The waitress and waiter we had were excellent and food was yummy. We had wings and hummus to start with. The hummus dish was completely cleared, it was that good. Mains was sheperds pie and sirloin steak. The Shepherds pie was ok, the meat part was quite dry and was piping hit like it was heated up in the mircowave, the steak however was gorgeous. melt in the mouth. Am looking forward to going back again to try more dishes

The Oar House Fish Restaurant

Kinara Restaurant
318 Clontarf Road, North Co. Dublin , Clontarf, Dublin

Went here on Sunday at lunch time. We were sat at the back of the restaurant down on the bottom floor. It was very bright outside so me and the person beside me couldn't see the two people in front of us as it was so bright. We asked them to pull down the blind and they said they would, but they didn't. We then had the food, which was nice. One of us wasn't feeling well so he wanted to bring his food home, I was going out later on for another meal so I only had a bit, planning to bring the rest home. When we asked to have the rest of our food to go, as we ate about a quarter of it, we were told they had no containers, and did we have any with us!? Couldn't believe it!! They managed to find one container for my dad, they were going to take his meal off the menu since he didn't touch it if they couldn't find a container. Very surprised that they couldn't give you the rest to go home with you. Don't know if i would go back

profile_review

Doheny and Nesbitt
5 Baggot Street Lower, Baggot Street, Dublin

One of my favourite places to go to for lunch!! Everything comes with a side salad! No chips are served which is great!! Not tempted to be bold! I usually get their hot chicken roll, barbeque panini or shepherds pie. All my favourites. Just gorgeous!

Been here once before and food was great. My friends are huge fans of this restaurant and they said it’s the best Mexican around!! Definitely worth a try, especially if you are off to the Olympia afterwards

profile_review

Oscar Taylor Restaurant
Island View Hotel, Coast Road, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

Well impressed! Hadn’t been here in a long time, but went out for a Sunday dinner with the family. We were a little squashed on our table, but that’s all I could complain about. 3 of us had the breaded mushrooms, which were then fried and they were just gorgeous. One of us had the muscles which she found tasteless. Mains: 4 of us got the turkey and ham, which again, fab! One seafood pasta was gotten too, which was gorgeous. Very reasonable too and the view of the coast is gorgeous

profile_review

Nautilus
9 Marine Court, The Green, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

Quite big portions. I had the soup to begin with, which filled me up since the bowl was so big. Had pasta for mains which was gorgeous. And with a view of the sea, it cant be missed

profile_review

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Went here with the 25 euro voucher Menu Pages was giving away. Tables are a little on top of each other. I kept having to get up and move so people behind me could move which was a little annoying. We had the breaded mushrooms and chicken goujons for starters. The chicken was gorgeous, very tasty, mushrooms were ok, some were more burned than cooked and they were very oily. Next we had pizza and a burger and chips with coleslaw. The burger was nice, coleslaw was gorgeous but chips weren’t great at all. They just tasted of potato, which sounds weird, I know, but they didn’t taste of chips, if you get me. Pizza was grand. Then had ice-cream to share which was nice. Came to 56 in total, minus 25 then too so bargain.

profile_review

El Bahia Moroccan Restaurant
37 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I went here on a group booking of about 12 people. The decor is amazing and the rooms are very cute, different size rooms, not one big one like most restaurants. I had the potato cakes to start with which was gorgeous, and the chicken and veg for main. It wasn’t expensive and you will leave wanting to know where they both their cushions etc from! :)

profile_review

Gibneys
New Street, Malahide, Dublin

Great place to go to on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Out of all the pubs in Malahide, everyone goes to this one and has a great atmosphere, big smoking area too. Food is what you can expect from cocktail sausages and chips, lasagne etc. Great pub

profile_review

ely winebar
22 Ely Place, (Just off St. Stephen’s Green), Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I was brought to lunch here this week and it was gorgeous! The steak sambo is to die for...it is thinly cut with garlic mayo and lettuce, and a great portion of proper home made chips. Each dish, dessert included tells you which wine would go with it, and the price for a glass. YUM

profile_review

Eddie Rockets (Santry)
The Omni Shopping Centre, North Dublin, Santry, Dublin

Not nice at all. We ordered chicken tenders, a classic burger and chips. The chicken tenders were cooked way too much. Like they had been cooked and then cooked again. My burger was cooked too much too and was hard around the edge. And the chips, weren’t even cooked properly either, they were still hard, which we sent back and never got a replacement, so it had to come off our bill. Do not go here!

profile_review

Wagamama - Stephen's Green
St Stephen's Green Centre, South King St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Regular here, went for lunch, food amazing but the noise was deafening. They were so busy which means the open kitchen were working so hard, all you could hear was their metal spoons hitting off the woks non stop. On top of that everyone else is talking extra sound to be heard over the racket... not a place to be going for lunch if you want a chat. Nicer in the evenings

profile_review

Silks Chinese Restaurant
5 The Mall , Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

There are nicer Chinese restaurants in Malahide compared to this one. I was there a few months ago with the family and we waited about 15 minutes before our order was taken. We then waiting 20 minutes trying to get someone’s attention to get a dessert menu, but we waited so long that we just got up and left. Not worth the prices.

profile_review

Yamamori Noodles
71-72 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Very disappointing. This is usually one of my favourite places to eat in Dublin so Im hoping it was a once off. I ordered the chicken terayki with rice. When the chicken came out it was very dry all around the edges, like it was sitting under a hot grill to keep warm, the terayki sauce was in a small section of the plate as the veg that were cooked werent properly drained so the whole meal sat in nearly a centimetre of water. Couldnt eat it. To top it all off, they charged us dinner price for one of the lunch meals - an extra €6, but we noticed before we left so we got it back. Check your receipts!!

profile_review

Jaipur Restaurant (George's Street)
41 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Went here with 20 people for a birthday! Thought it would be a disaster since not many people knew much about Indian food and when ordered no one could remember what they ordered, but the staff remembered what came from each seat and for 20 people we weren’t waiting long at all. Food was fantastic and very reasonable!!!

Captain America's Cookhouse And Bar
44 Grafton Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Does great cocktails... food is ok. Somehow they messed up ice cream by putting hot chocolate sauce on it, which melted the ice cream but also cooled down the sauce, which in turn made the sauce hard!!!

Excellent Early Birds here. We went on a Sunday and we got a starter and main for €14. Unfortunately the chicken noodle soup - which is my fav wasnt on it so I opted for springrolls and main was sweet and sour chicken. Ate it all. Gorgeous, fresh food. Lovely staff. Well worth a visit
