We brought two friends here for dinner last night. We all agreed that it was an excellent experience. The food and atmosphere surprised us all. The food was real value for money and the jazz band played lightly in the back ground without interfering with the conversation. We will certainly be back for more. This restaurant has everything for a real good night out. The staff were attentive and there was no signs of any pressure despite being a busy night. Excellent.

Octopussy Seafood Tapas
7 West Pier, Dublin 13, Howth, Dublin

Been here a couple of times and always satisfied. I had the chowder and fish and chips, all excellent. Herself had the shellfish platter and oysters and had no complaints, she even paid the bill, which was very affordable. Portions were good size and tasty. We will visit again soon.

Yamamori Izakaya
12/13 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We booked this restaurant for a family meal last week and were very happy with the evening. The tapas menu was very varied and catered for everyone, important as we had two vegetarians with us. They were both very pleased as was every body with the food and service. The bill was reasonable as well and we will definitely be back again.

Hemmingways
2B Vernon Avenue, Dublin 3, Clontarf, Dublin

First time to visit this restaurant, just by chance recently. We were delighted and surprised to see fresh fish on the menu. I had the scallops for starter and sole for main course herself had the smoked salmon salad and the roast cod. We were both very impressed, the fish was fresh and cooked to satisfaction. The atmosphere was nice and service very good. We will call again and might try the desert as well !

The Hot Stove
38 Parnell Square West, Dublin 1 , City Centre North, Dublin

First time to visit this restaurant on Saturday night 12th October 2013. The girl on the phone did everything possible to accommodate us with a table as we were late booking. We were nicely surprised when we entered and not expecting such nice surroundings and a bright warm atmosphere. My starter was very good (Quail) but my wife's was tough (octopus). There was a descent variety on the menu for all courses. I had ray and she had hake for mains. Both were excellent. Sides were good as well. The food was well seasoned but maybe a little salty. We will go back again as we enjoyed the meal overall. The staff were very friendly and approachable. The bill was reasonable for the night. Definitely worth a visit .

Paul's Bistro & Wine Bar
49 Lwr Dorset St, City Centre North, Dublin

We dropped in for here for dinner last night and were pleasantly surprised. I had the prawns in batter which were amazing and the roulade which was equally good. The stir fry prawns were also highly praised by herself who isn't easy to please ! The bill was reasonable and the staff very helpful and professional. If you haven't eaten here you are missing out on exceptional food at a decent price. We will definitely be back.

Cafe Madeleine
1 A Richmond Road, Drumcondra, Dublin

Had breakfast here last Saturday week. Very friendly guy behind the counter cooked a beautiful breakfast. Served with a smile by a lovely waitress. The restaurant is nice and clean and has a nice decor. Great place for a coffee or sandwich priced reasonable. We will call again.

Restaurant Ten Fourteen
324 Clontarf Road, Clontarf, Dublin

We have been here a few times and always enjoyed it. This time I had battered fish and it was not great. The batter was soggy and thick. My wife had steak which was ordered rare and came out blue. The prawn starter was very good but the main courses let the reputation of the restaurant down. I had desert which was fine and the bill was reasonable. Don't know if we go back in a hurry.

Le Bon Crubeen
81-82 Talbot Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Dropped in here for a meal on Saturday last. Enjoyed it the last visit so we decided it was worth another visit and we were not wrong. It was very busy and we hadn't booked, but we were offered a place at the counter, or in the pub attached which we accepted. The staff were excellent and the food was the same. I had Guinea fowl with lentils, beautiful. The other main was skate with prawn and crab butter, amazing, and we had one portion of oysters to start. Over all it was a great meal and the atmosphere was very good, topped off with few coffees, a reasonable bill and a couple of pints. It's great to get good food at reasonable prices in the city center, at last. We enjoyed the pub atmosphere but if you prefer a restaurant atmosphere, book in advance and you won't be disappointed. We will definitely be back.

The Dining Room
35 Dawson Street, City Centre South, Dublin

This was our first visit to this restaurant and will not be the last. The decor and atmosphere were just amazing. The food was out standing. We were offered the €25 menu which looked like great value but we opted for the a la carte. This was very extensive and catered well for our taste in good food. The staff could not be better and we got the best attention we ever experienced. The bill was reasonable for the standard and quality we received. The chef produced absolute top class food. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this restaurant.

Washerwomans Hill
60 Glasnevin Hill, Glasnevin, Glasnevin, Dublin

I had a meal here last Wednesday night with world war 3. She was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff and so that was a good start. Our meal was served up promptly and my steak was presented as ordered. The atmosphere was cosy and warm. We had a good bottle of wine, reasonably priced, and finished off with deserts and espresso. Unfortuneatley, world war 3 and I finished off that night too, but I will definitely be back soon. Great value and food.
