went here for a long christmas lunch with some friends, the service was impeccable, the atmosphere was wonderfully relaxing and we were given the table for three and a half hours so there was no rush on us. The food was presented beautifully and very flavorsome. This will definitely be on my list of places to come back to.

Ate here for lunch with colleagues last week. The place was hectic, it took 45 minutes to get our mains. On an hour long lunch break. The waiter was apologetic and when the food did come it was tasty, might try it some evening to see if the mad rush is just a lunch time thing, a little over hyped?

The Green Hen
33 Exchequer street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Visited the Green Hen for the first time last week and was very pleasantly surprised! The decor and atmosphere was right up my alley with a relaxed yet lively vibe. We ordered from the early bird which was a great value. I had the hake for mains which was the best meal I've had in a long time. This is definitely somewhere I'd recommend for good food at a reasonable price, the cocktail menu looked yummy too so maybe that's the next thing i'll have to try!

Havana Tapas Bar
Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Ate at Havana with a large group of friends, got seated down the back under the stairs where we could be noisy and lazy around for an evening of chats, the food was nice but not amazing, we ordered so much we had trouble fitting them on the table. The service was good and the atmosphere very laid back which is just what we wanted. Would recommend it for a large group of people but not for the amazing food.

Kinara Kitchen
17 Ranelagh Village, South Dublin, Ranelagh, Dublin

Went here with a group of friends for the early bird, Was very impressed with the food, and value for money. Everything I tasted was delicious, the service was great but perhaps a little too eager but not a complaint. Will definitely be coming back soon!

Mayfield Deli & Eatery
Terenure Road North, South Dublin, Terenure, Dublin

Went here for a girlie lunch on saturday and was very impressed! although mayfield is small its very comfortable with oodles of character. We had a combination of salads and tarts for lunch followed by yummy desserts and tea, its a great addition to the neighborhood and I for one will be singing its praises to all who listen!

The Cake Cafe
62 Pleasants Place, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

had lunch here last week with friends, i'd never been but the others raved about it. When we arrived we had to wait a few minutes for a table as the cafe is quite small, we were seated at a small table which was a little cramped and we were kind of in the way of the staff but we made do. The food was tasty I got the beans on toast and a cake to follow, both were good and satisfying. The service is great but the space is small which adds to its quaintness but takes away from the enjoyability. I'll be back but maybe not on a saturday but i've a feeling this place is always full.

F.X. BUCKLEY Steakhouse Pembroke Street
1A Lower Pembroke Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Ate here a few weeks ago in a party of four, chose the restaurant because there were fussy eaters in the party. The food and service were great. Very attentive, nice atmosphere, only down side we were sat beside a large party which drowned out our conversation a small bit. Will definitely be back, might ask to be seated in a quieter area the next time.

Novo
Harry Street, St Stephens Green, Dublin

Went here for a girlie night out, the atmosphere and service were great, two mains came out cold (i'm guessing because they were steak sandwiches they were cooked quicker than everything else) but when we told the waiter they took them back cooked fresh ones and didn't charge. so we can't really grumble about the delay. I like this place and will be coming back.

profile_review

Marios (Ranelagh)
39 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

I went here for dinner as a party of eight, we were 'greeted' by a rude man who told us our table wasn't ready and we could wait at the bar, he then came back to say we could have a table for six and the last two places would be added when the table beside us finished. The place wasn't even full, and the fact that the last two of the party hadn't arrived shouldn't have made a difference. The food was ok, not a huge fan, won't be returning any time soon.

Rolys Bistro
7 Ballsbridge Terrace, Dublin, Ballsbridge, Dublin

I went here for a meal with my BF and parents to celebrate a graduation, the food was delicious and everything you would expect from Rolys the service however was very poor. I'm putting this down to the fact that they were understaffed and probably didn't realise there was a graduation on in the RDS but it really took away from the experience. We had to wait for everything, menus, to be seated, drinks, water, our mains took forever, While I think its great value I won't be rushing back.

Alfies
10 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I went here for lunch with a work colleague and had the lunch box meal, I was very happy with what arrived, it may look like a small portion of each of the three but combined provides a good filling lunch at a reasonable price, will definitely go back when i'm hungry beats paying 7 or 8 euro for a sandwich and drink elsewhere on the street.

profile_review

Buenos Aires Grill
Unit 2 Castle Way, Golden Lane, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I went here with my BF for the early bird one night after work as we had heard great things about the place, The menu prices for the early bird seemed like great value however we were both disappointed with the food we got. The service was slow even though the place was only half full. Perhaps if we had ordered off the al a carte we might have better things to say about the place but won't be rushing back.

Konkan Indian Restaurant Clanbrassil Street
46 Upper Clanbrassil Street, Near Harolds Cross Bridge, Portobello, Dublin

I think this place has become my new favorite neighborhood restaurant! It's not much to look at but the service and the food is top class. I've eaten here on many occasions now and have yet to be disappointed Real Indian cuisine and reasonable prices I recommend it to anyone,

Brunos
Eustace Street, Temple Bar, Dublin

Ate here with my boyfriend a few weeks ago, the place was full and the place had a a good atmosphere for a temple bar stop off. There was a sign outside saying early bird all night but when we were seated we asked the waitress and she said it was over. We just had main courses, I had the muscles and the portion was huge, good value for €20. Probably wouldn't plan a return trip but good if passing by.

profile_review

Millstone, A Dublin Restaurant
39 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I've eaten here twice in the last week once by chance and then on my recommendation. Both times it was great, good value tasty lunch options, with an extensive menu to cater for all kinds of eaters. I've had one of the tasty pies and the huge foccacias well worth the visit will be back.

profile_review

F.X. BUCKLEY Steakhouse Crow Street
2 Crow Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Went here on a monday night for dinner with the other half and had a great dinner, we chose from the value menu which is €25 for three courses. The food was lovely and fresh, cooked to order and very tasty, was suprisingly busy for a monday night but that is probably the good value, will definitely be back

profile_review

Koh
6-7 Jervis Street, Millennium Walkway, Dublin 1, City Centre, Italian Quarter, Dublin

went here last night for the early bird with friends and had a lovely evening. We were seated in our own private booth with which we were delighted as we were there to catch up so it was perfect. The early bird 3 courses for €20 was brill, the food was lovely had the ribs, chicken stir fry and banoffee( not very thai) but yum! great value dinner no scrimping on early bird value here, highly recommend a visit.

The Counter Dundrum
Pembroke District, (adjacent to the Mill Pond at Town Square), Dundrum, Dublin

I ate here for the second time this week before the cinema with my BF. The place was buzzing for a wednesday evening, the service was quick and efficent and the food is just yum! the key being they let you choose what you want the build a bear of burgers. two huge burgers, sides and drinks for thirty euro definitely the best gourmet burger type place i've been to. Will be back!

profile_review

The Cedar Tree
11a St Andrews Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here last night for the early bird with a group of friends, there was a great buzz about the place, the service was brisk and friendly, the food very tasty, not somewhere i'd normally go but recommend it if you'd like to try somewhere different, had the lamb pitta to start and the chicken for mains, lovely and tender unlike the dry lumps of chicken you get in some places.

profile_review

Tamarind (Salthill)
157 Upper Salthill, Salthill, Galway City, Galway

Ate here during the Galway races, so the place was a little packed and service a little slow but had an enjoyable dinner with a big group. Had the seabass which was fab, would definitely recomment it.

profile_review

Odessa
13 Dame Court, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

Ate here last week on the fivers menu which is great value ordered three plates but two would have done me, it was quiet for a tuesday but an enjoyable experience all the same. Will be back again.

Avoca Cafe (Suffolk Street)
Avoca, 11 Suffolk Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Went for a birthday lunch with friends on a saturday we had to wait a while for a table and to be served initially but after that i can't complain the food was great as was the prosecco, we chatted away soaked up the atmosphere and had a really enjoyable lunch. I had the chicken which was lovely but will try the fish pie the next time!

profile_review

DIG IN
19 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

Cheap and Chips & Tasty Too - went here last night with a gang of 6 for a friends bday, the food was great, nice relaxed atmosphere, a little noisy but what can you do! Its a great recession buster, full to the brim for a tuesday night, another good point is the plentiful supply of bars for drinks after, will definitely be going back!

profile_review

Milano (Dawson Street)
38 Dawson Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

had lunch here with a group from work yesterday, the service is quick and efficent but the portion sizes were a little on the small side for the lunch deal, much prefer the dundrum branch.

profile_review

Bellagio
92 Terenure Road North, Dublin 6W, Terenure, Dublin

Ate here on saturday night, had a lovely meal, the place was hopping, glad i made a reservation, was a little while before a waiter came over but after that service was efficent. The food was lovely we were both very happy with our choices, small let down there was a hair in our bread basket at the start other than that no complaints, good for the neighbourhood, will be back!

profile_review

Brasserie Sixty6
66/67 Great South Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Got together with friends for a christmas dinner here after a good lunch eperience a few months ago. Sorry to say it didn't live up to my expectations. The service was fine but they forgot our sides and had to order more, the dessert menu was very limited to fit the xmas theme and the food was only ok. Don't think i'd recommend it and won't be going back any time soon.

profile_review

Comans Rathgar
2 Terenure Road East, Rathgar, Dublin

Ate here last night, the place was quiet enough but the service was quick and friendly. I had the chicken and mushroom pie which was quite nice but the accompanying salad was pretty ick. My partner had the green curry which he seemed to like, fine for a quick bite but better food nearby for the same price.

profile_review

Queen of Tarts (Temple Bar)
3 - 4 Cow's Lane, Temple Bar, Dublin

A big fan of the old queen of tarts tried this place and have to say it doesnt' dissapoint, its normal to have a few teething issues, the staff still finding their feet and a bit of trial and error but the food and the atmosphere are both so enjoyable you can't help pardoning the rest, not really expensive for town and the quality of food your getting, will go time and time again.

profile_review

Bits and Pizzas
15 Patrick Street, Dun Laoghaire, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Ate here last night with my voucher, and had a very pleasant evening, probably somewhere i would never have come across only for menu pages, the restaurant is nicely laid out, love the way you can see them cooking right in front of you. Had the special pizza which was delightful, everything was so fresh, my bf cleaned his plate within minutes, had the full three courses and couldn't fault a thing!

profile_review

The Duke
Duke Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Had lunch here yesterday - don't really like carverys and this didnt change my mind, the pub itself is fine the food was a little bland, overcooked and stale. Don't think i'd go back

profile_review

Marios (Terenure)
103 Terenure Road East, Dublin 6, Terenure, Dublin

Left my boyfriend in charge of food last night and he arrived with a take away from marios two past dishes cost €27, no sides. The portions were small and not very nice, have eaten in the restaurant before and enjoyed it but will never get takeaway again.

Best hangover cure in dublin!

profile_review

The Porterhouse (Central)
45-47 Nassau Street, City Centre South, Dublin

I ate here for lunch with a friend last week, the service was great - fast and effcient, the food, a lunch special of soup, sandwich (which was huge), drink and sidesalad was only €9.50, was quiet tasty and great value. Will be back for a quick and cheap lunch again!

profile_review

Cafe Bliss
4B Montague Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Ate here with friends a few weeks ago after a play in the iveagh gardens and had a lovely meal. There was five of us and got a table pretty much straight away, the service was pretty slow but we were yapping so it didn't really matter. The food was lovely (and cheap). I had the chicken caesar which was a great size, others had some veggie options and the salmon, all in all everyone was happy will definitely go back again.

profile_review

Toast
Rathmines Road Lower, Rathmines, Dublin

Had lunch here on sunday with my boyfriend, its the perfect place for lazy hangover days with their couches and big screen tv's. The food was tasty and quick as was the service, nice relaxed atmosphere, could stay here all day with the papers and no one would blink twice, will be back again soon.

profile_review

Derby Restaurant, Club Bar & Garden Bistro
Keadeen Hotel, Curragh Rd, Newbridge, Newbridge, Kildare

I've eaten here twice now, last weekend we went for a birthday celebration, the food was beautiful, i had the sea bass and lobster for mains which was delightful, the starter wasn't as impressive and unfortunately we missed dessert as there was a cake provided for the occasion but all in all a great meal, great service in a relaxing environment.

profile_review

Taste Food Company
South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Had lunch here yesterday with a friend, sat in the cafe downstairs, although it was during the lunch time rush the service was quick and efficient, although at the same time for lunch there was little buzz about the place. I had the joint of the day sandwich and my friend had a pie, appearance and size of the portions were great, the food was just a little bland. Will try it again, maybe upstairs or something a little more exciting to see if it meets my expectations.

profile_review

Canal Bank Cafe
146 Upper Leeson Street, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin

Ate here Friday night, the place was vibrant but not too loud like its sister Tribecca tends to be. Yes the chicken wings were again the highlight, not bad cosmos either, a little more alcohol perhaps. Had the Special burger, the portions were quiet big, couldn't finish it all. The service was great for a friday night and a full house, will be back soon.

profile_review

Rayhoon
8 Talbot Street, City Centre North, Dublin

I've had lunch here a few times now, the lunch time deal with pizza/pasta, side and drink is a decent offer. Service is a bit up and down though depending on how full the place is and food can take a while to come out of the kitchen. Cheap and cheerful not the most delicious food in the world but fine for what you pay, pizzas are especially good value.

profile_review

Mao Restaurant (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

Ate here on friday night, last minute booking, was pleasantly surprised, have eaten at Mao in town before, the dundrum version seems less crapped, great wait staff, i was very happy with my kung po chicken only complaint was i couldn't finish it. Nice relaxed environment for a evening meal at the weekend unlike the packed milanos doors down.

profile_review

Cafe Irie
11 Fownes street, le Bar, City Centre South, Dublin

I eat here quiet regularly a little haven in the madness of temple bar with nice alternative food from the usual mainstream joints. Was a little let down yesterday when lunching with a friend, my noodles took 44 minutes to come out during my 1 hour lunch break, grand if you have all day but not the most efficent place under pressue. I'll be back but on a saturday!

profile_review

The Dropping Well
Classon's Bridge, Milltown, Milltown, Dublin

This place is just down the road from my bf's place so have popped in once or twice for convenience. As a pub I can't fault it, nice atmosphere with all sorts of punters. The food however is overcooked, bland and over priced, I'd try to avoid it, unless your taste buds are numb.

profile_review

TriBeCa
65 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

Had lunch here last saturday with a friend, can't fault the place the service was great at almost full capacity and the atmosphere is always buzzing, the only fault is that sometimes its too loud! Had the chicken wings, mouth watering, love them, had them with sides instead of a mains, all to myself, pure heaven!

profile_review

The Grand Central Cafe Bar
O'Connell Street, O'Connell St, Dublin

Had lunch here on a few occassions, the portions are very big, the service is quick and pleasant, the place lacks a bit of atmosphere but can't fault it as a pub lunch haunt.

profile_review

Eddie Rockets (O Connell Street)
O' Connell Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Ate here on sunday it was a decision encouraged by my hang over and wanting to get out of the downpour, the food hit the hole in my stomach, but nothing better than any other fast food joint, the service was slow, and this place isn't the cleanest, won't be going back until another hangover makes me do it!

profile_review

Lunch! Calzone Cafe
63 South William Street, South William Street, Dublin

As the name suggests ate lunch here last week, the service was promt as was the delivery of food. Big of a let down the food tastes a little processed, not as tasty as the menu suggests. All the same relaxed spot for a quick bite to eat, cheap and cheerful you get what you pay for.

profile_review

KC Blakes Brasserie
Quay Street, Galway City, Galway

Ate here last Saturday night, the place was packed, was seated at a table for four when there was just two of us which would make you think we had loads of room but we were wedged between two larger partys and every time the man with his back to me moved i jerked forward too. The food was ok, nothing special and a little over priced. The service was fine but the poor waitresses had to squeeze through the surrounds every time they wanted to check up on us. This place was recommended by a friend so they obviously had a better experience another night, think there are plenty of better quality and value places near by.

profile_review

Kirby's Restaurant
Cross Street, Galway City, Galway

Ate here last friday night, during the galway races excitement. The service was quick and attentive but not intrusive, the food was tasty and palated by the best of hangovers, nice relaxing vibe down stairs as the larger parties were on the 1st floor, really enjoyable will go back next time i'm in the west!

profile_review

Busyfeet & Coco Cafe

I eat here on a regular basis, fast service, relaxed vibe and the best sweet potato and red pepper soup! haven't tried the evening menu yet but definitely on the cards!

profile_review

Bijou Bistro & Wine
46/47 Highfield Road, Dublin 6, Rathgar, Dublin

Went here for a family occasion last month, ate in the up stairs restaurant for the first time. The food was great and portions substantial. I had the caesar salad to start and the monkfish special which was melt in mouth. The service was very efficient even though the place was packed, a great night out.

The Morgue
Main St, Templeogue Village, Templeogue, Dublin

Eat here often because of its close proximity to home, have never had a bad meal yet, saying that have only eaten off the a la carte menu and stayed away from carvery. While the food is great the service can at times be rather slow especially Sunday afternoons like Sunday drivers. Great for pub grub and a drink.

profile_review

Bistro Spice
101 Monkstown Road, South Co. Dublin, Monkstown, Dublin

Ate here last week as part of a large group. Small restaurant but great atmosphere, BYOB great idea especially with an off licence next door. The food was quality, fresh and tasty. Would definitely eat here again.

profile_review

Yamamori Noodles
71-72 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Visited a few weeks ago with a group of friends without a booking on a Friday night, got a table quick smart (with an out time but to be expected). Food was great, atmosphere buzzing, couldn't say a bad thing about the experience. Fresh food cooked well.

Queen of Tarts
4 Cork Hill Dame Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Visited the new Queen of Tarts last week, a welcome addition to the Temple Bar area, food great as always, the new staff were busy finding their feet but i'm sure all that will fall into place soon and it will live up to its older sister.
