Ate here the other evening and found the place to be buzzing, so we sat outside on the terrace, we ordered drinks Anthony the bar tender recommended some cocktails, my better half had a strawberry daiquiri, i had a death by chocolate, one of my friends informed me that the hotel is built on a site which use to be a chocolate factory, good to see the link with the past and present. To the food, i had a thai beef salad with a bang bang dressing, it was fresh and hit the mark, better half had the smoked haddock and clam chowder, a large bowl of fish soup with a piece of smoked haddock sitting on top with plenty of clams, finished with a peppered cream i had some myself and couldnt fault it, for mains i had the pork belly, with a smashing cheese mash, buttered cabbage with a cider jus, cracking, better half had the thai green chicken curry, with balsmati rice it came with a side of wilted chinnese greens, again it was very authentic, for dessert we had one between two, a strawberry and blueberry meringue with lashings of fresh cream, we finished with coffee, dinner was then washed down with a pitcher of sangria, it was great value at just over seventy euro, a great way to spend a warm friday evening, will return!
