Great tasty food and wine, very reasonably priced. There is always a lovely friendly buzz in here and you are never rushed to vacate your table. The service can be a little haphazard at times but the staff are always very friendly. Great for a group meal as the food lends itself to sharing perfectly.

Sabor Brazil
71a Camden Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

AMAZING! This little place is a total gem .. Service in Ireland is on the whole below par but this place gives the most incredible attentive service I have EVER experienced. Food was beautiful, decor luxurious and warm. I cannot wait to have another occasion to go back to Sabor Brazil.

The Exchequer
3-5 Exchequer Street, City Centre South, Dublin

I was here for the first time last week .. love the decor, the gorgeous comfy leather chesterfield sofas, the menus, the food and the service! Had a lovely glass of prosecco for only €6.50 .. my friends had glasses of wine for €6 which were really generous in size. We tried three of the starters and all were generous sizes, home made, tasty and well presented. As it is only very new it wasn't busy at the time but didn't feel "empty" at all .. I think this is going to be a great destination for food and drinks, meeting up with friends, dates or a nice meal out with a gang. I wish the two owners the very best of luck and am delighted to see such a business opening :-)

Ryan's of Ratoath Bar & Restaurant
Main Street, Ratoath, Meath

Went here on a recommendation, was determined not to judge the book by its cover so ignored the tatty appearance of the bar, the terribly old fashioned decor, the awful cheap and old menus and the lack of choice .... i shouldn't have bothered. the tiny choice of starters must be in direct proportion to their freezer space, the soup was out of a packet and a cheap one at that ... the surf and turf was as previously described ..a good size steak that was properly cooked but the shrimp was awful. i am sorry to say i was totally disappointed with this place, and i had been really hopeful as the drive out there from Dublin is lovely. our bill was €85 for three soft drinks, a soup, garlic mushrooms, surf and turf and fillet steak oh and extra for glutinous bland pepper sauce. this place obviously has its fans ... but it bothers me that people pay so much for less than good quality food when there are so many good places around with better tastier food, great buzzing atmospheres for much better value. it seems Ireland still has some way to go .. won't be returning

The French Paradox Wine Shop & Wine Bar
53 Shelbourne Road, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin

I had lunch here this weekend and its lovely, a great place for an intimate meal or chatty girlie luncheon.... food was delicious if a little pricey for lunch i thought. Service was good and there were some great touches like the ever-replenishing breadbasket and little dark chocolate buttons served with the coffees. Also shared a pear tart, which was beautiful and seemed to have been made with wholemeal flour, which made it quite "nutty" in texture. Delicious. Would definitely recommend this place...

Sweet Basil Thai
Lower Rathmines Road, South Dublin, Rathmines, Dublin

Heard about this little place through friends who recommended it and I wasn't disappointed. Lovely little restaurant, great service and really tasty authentic Thai food ... and best of all its really really cheap. €12.50 for two courses... two of us had starters, mains and a bottle of wine for €41 this Saturday night.. I don't know anywhere better than that in Dublin. Would also be a good place for a large group.

Milano (Temple Bar)
19 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Our meal here was very nice, there is an extensive menu and I found the service to be good. The lasagne was a little synthetic tasting but overall we were satisfied with the value, service and food.

Nice food and very handy for when you are shopping in Dundrum. The service has never been great any time I have visited but overall it’s a good place.

Wagamama - Stephen's Green
St Stephen's Green Centre, South King St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

The most efficient place I have been in. The food is always great and there are always really nice specials on. I have never had a bad meal in here... the spicy chicken ramen is perfect for the cold winter days and the duck lomen that is a special at the moment is so tasty! I also love that there is a proper menu for children that does not include any fake food (chips/nuggets/sausages) but just child friendly versions of the adult menu. More Irish restaurants should take note. Another good point is that at Christmas they hand out vouchers to everyone when you pay your bill for complimentary side dishes/desserts/juices valid until the end of January... good marketing move!

Shanahan’s on the Green
119 St. Stephens Green, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin

Sooooooo expensive, but soooooooo tasty. Gorgeous steaks and great service. A wonderful place for a treat or celebration. Also loved all the JFK memorabilia in the Oval Office Bar. However don't go unless you are really hungry as the portions are huge and more importantly there is plenty of room on the credit card !!

Peploes Wine Bistro

Have been here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner and both times the food and service were faultless. Fabulous place for a special occasion or a treat!

Pearl Brasserie
20 Merrion Street Upper, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Visited here last week for a Christmas lunch with the girls. The menu was very short and not great. The service was good but I have to say we were not terribly impressed. I realise it is a very busy time but the food was below average, lacked any sort of presentation or taste and was just unsatisfactory. We did have some delicious cocktails in the oyster bar but were then rushed out the door.. which they had opened so that the place was freezing in order to move on the remaining customers!! A lovely place with great potential but would not recommend it to anyone at this time of year.

The Market Bar
Fade Street, City Centre South, Dublin

This is the perfect place for a large group to eat and drink together. The tapas are lovely, and the choice of large or small size works well. If you can nab one of the large picnic style tables its brilliant. The service is very fast and efficient and the place has a great buzz to it in the evening.

Millers Pizza Kitchens
50 Upper Baggot Street, Dublin 4, City Centre South, Dublin

Love this place. Such a novel idea to serve well known dishes in the form of a pizza. All the food is so fresh and tasty, beautifully presented and great value for money. At times it can seem a little squashed in here but overall the atmosphere and service compensate.
